A certain training center.
Bea dodged the training teacher and was on the phone with Dominic Hawke.
"Dominic, you’re causing trouble again! Why do you have to be so good at drawing? Now mom thinks I have talent and sent to an interest class!"
He doesn’t like drawing!
He wants to go back to playing with bugs!
"Bea, if I couldn’t draw, I wouldn’t have caught the bad guys who kidnapped you."
Dominic was in the bathroom, scratching his little brows.
Though he felt a bit sorry, it wasn’t his fault!
"That’s true!"
Bea just grumbled a bit and didn’t really bla Dominic.
"Bea, have you seen Charlotte Soo’s new suitor? Isn’t he less handso and less wealthy than my dad? Charlotte surely wouldn’t like him, right?"
Dominic was holding his small phone, asking the question he’d always wanted to ask.
Aunt Charlotte was so gentle, he felt only his dad was worthy of her.
"Dominic, we may never beco a family."
From the other end, Bea pouted a bit, speaking regretfully.
"Why?"
Dominic’s little heart sank, he asked quickly.
"Because I overheard my mom talking to my godmother. Mom’s new suitor is my biological father! Mom seems to have a pretty good impression of him, and she said she’ll observe him for a while longer before introducing to him officially."
Bea didn’t hold back, explaining the situation.
Dominic clutched his phone, pressing his little lips together.
So Aunt Charlotte’s new suitor is actually Bea’s biological dad?
Their family is about to reunite!
Then dad and he can never beco a family with Aunt Charlotte!
It hurts!
"Dominic, Dominic? Are you still there? Why aren’t you speaking?"
Bea’s voice ca through the static.
Dominic’s eyes welled with tears.
He pursed his lips, silently hung up the phone.
There’s no more hope, Aunt Charlotte won’t be his mommy anymore.
Everything returned to square one.
It doesn’t an a thing anymore!
"Charlie, where are you? Are you still in the bathroom?"
Outside the bathroom, Elder Hawthorne’s voice echoed.
Dominic said nothing, just wiped away his tears, drooped his little head and slowly walked out.
"Charlie, grandpa found a few more interesting bugs, let’s go to the lab together."
Elder Hawthorne saw Dominic coming out of the bathroom and reached out to pull him along.
Dominic shrank back, his little body took a step back, saying nothing.
Only then did Elder Hawthorne realize sothing was wrong.
He bent down, looking at Dominic’s red-rimd eyes, quickly squatting down.
"Charlie, what’s wrong?"
Dominic said nothing, his glossy eyes seemingly unfocused ahead.
Elder Hawthorne’s heart tightened, he reached out to touch Dominic’s little head, "Is your head hurting? Bla your dad for being too anxious, you’re not recovered yet, having the ho teacher co over. Fine, tomorrow grandpa will tell dad, no classes, you accompany grandpa to play in the lab, how about that."
What’s wrong with the little guy?
He feels different from a few days ago.
Hearing the word ’dad’, Dominic finally reacted.
He moved his lips, tears slowly overflowed his eyes.
"Dad, liar."
He even said he’d definitely pursue Aunt Charlotte.
Yet Aunt Charlotte has been snatched away!
Tears streaming, Dominic turned into the children’s room, slamming the door shut.
Elder Hawthorne was puzzled, slowly straightened up.
What did the little one say just now?
Did Damon lie to him about sothing?
"Old man, where’s Charlie? Why isn’t he coming down to play?"
Madam Hawke ca up from downstairs, seeing Elder Hawthorne dazed in the corridor, she asked.
Elder Hawthorne furrowed his brows, "Charlie went into the room, he’s unhappy, said Damon lied to him."
"Huh? What did Damon lie about?"
Madam Hawke looked puzzled, approached the children’s room and knocked on the door.
"Charlie, grandma’s coming in."
But the door was locked.
Madam Hawke paused, patting the door, "Open the door, Charlie, if you have sothing, just tell grandma."
Strange!
The little guy suddenly seed like a different person.
No, he suddenly returned to how he used to be?
Whenever he was unhappy, he’d lock himself in the room.
Where did the happy, carefree little guy from a few days ago go?
"I’ll call Damon and ask what’s going on."
Elder Hawthorne took out his phone.
What did Damon lie to the little guy about?
It made the little guy unhappy, returning to his previous state!
...
Movie theater.
Damon Hawke was watching a movie with Elara Don.
The movie was a foreign blockbuster.
An action film looked exciting, also pretty gory.
Damon was indifferent to the movie, he watched the woman beside him enjoying her popcorn, regretted choosing this film.
Aren’t won supposed to be emotional?
Faced with gory scenes, they should avert their eyes and snuggle into a guy’s arms?
But the woman beside him seed unaware of this?
Another scene of fist fighting appeared on the screen.
Damon shifted, reached to pull her shoulder, moving her head onto his.
Elara was engrossed in the film.
Watching the man’s profile so close, she asked softly, "What’s up?"
"Aren’t you afraid of such gory scenes? Let lend you my shoulder to lean on."
Elara: "..."
It’s not a horror movie, what’s there to be afraid of?
"I’m not afraid..."
"You are."
Damon didn’t allow refusal, fixed her head, "I want you to lean."
Elara: "..."
Insisting on giving her the title of a delicate little lady?
Fine!
She’d go along with it.
Elara felt amused inside, stopped struggling, obediently resting on the man’s shoulder.
The movie kept playing, the scenes remained gory.
But Elara’s attention was diverted.
Because the man was playing with her hand.
The warm touch spread throughout her, heating her skin.
His slightly heavy breathing echoed in her ear, carrying a hint of desire.
Her chin felt warm, as he turned her face.
Eye contact, stirring emotions in the dim cinema.
"Elly."
Damon’s voice was hoarse, as he focused on the woman’s red lips, slowly leaned forward...
Buzz, his phone vibrated in his pocket.
He paused, brows furrowed.
At such a crucial mont, who was inconsiderate enough to call and ruin it!
"Um, I’m going to the restroom."
Elara’s heart raced, blushing as she got up, hurriedly walked out.
Damon’s eyes were like a wolf’s in the dark, wanting to pull her back, consu her whole.
Exhaling deeply, he took out his phone for a glance, brows furrowed.
Call from the old mansion?
Damon stood up, exited the cinema.
"Hello."
"Damon, you need to co back right away! What did you lie to Charlie about? He’s locked himself in his room, sothing’s not right."
What did he lie to his son about?
Nothing, right?
Damon’s brows furrowed slightly, he hung up the phone, pondered, sent Wayne a ssage.
"Tell Chloe your company has an issue, call back."
Wayne: "..."
Big bro, this isn’t fair!
How can I enjoy my ti chasing girls!
