Cindy Clarke took the tissue and hurriedly wiped the tears from her eyes: “I didn’t… it wasn’t on purpose.”

“I know.” Aunt Evans sighed, looking at Cindy with sympathy.

“Aunt Evans, let sit here for a bit,” Cindy said. “Otherwise, it’d be embarrassing to go out and explain.”

“Alright.” Aunt Evans nodded.

Cindy sat there and continued to make dumplings with Aunt Evans.

The small dumplings were just the right size for one bite.

Aunt Evans comnted, “Ah, the ones we made are different. Yours are much prettier than mine.”

“I make them often, so I’ve beco skilled,” Cindy replied with a smile.

They put the dumplings in a stear basket to be cooked later that night.

“Alright, I’m here. You should go out now,” Aunt Evans urged again.

By now, the redness around Cindy’s eyes had faded.

With Aunt Evans’s urging, she returned to the Main Hall.

To her surprise, she found that little Morgan Zhekova had sohow rolled into Old Master’s arms.

Fortunately, Old Master was still very robust. He could carry little Morgan even when he squird around.

Although Old Master kept a straight face, his bright eyes and the faint red on his cheeks betrayed him.

He looked at little Morgan with disdain while holding him with both hands, preventing him from rolling off his lap.

“Great Grandfather.” Little Morgan poked his head out from Old Master’s arms, imitated a scene from TV, and sent the old man a Wink.

Old Master: “…”

“Be good and talk properly!” Old Master said with a stern face.

Little Morgan didn’t take Old Master’s paper tiger act seriously and cupped his adorable face with both hands.

His long eyelashes were almost as wide as his eyes. As he blinked, they fluttered like little wings.

“Great Grandfather, am I your little cutie?” Little Morgan asked sweetly.

Old Master was truly torn.

To say no would be impossible.

Of course, Little Morgan was his little cutie!

If he said no, the little one would surely no longer play with him or be affectionate towards him.

But if he said yes, in front of so many people, how embarrassing!

As Little Morgan gazed at him expectantly, Old Master couldn’t bring himself to lie to save face and make him sad.

Old Master’s eyes darted around, and his soft, muffled voice ca out from his throat: “Mm.”

“Great Grandfather, what did you say?” Little Morgan tilted his head and moved his left ear closer to Old Master. “I didn’t catch that.”

Old Master was truly in a difficult spot, experiencing embarrassnt as never before in his life.

His previously faintly reddening face was now conspicuously flushed.

Cindy returned to Adrian Zhekova’s side, laughing as she watched the little one teasing Old Master.

Adrian whispered to Cindy, “Old Master has finally t his match.”

Finally, it was soone other than him who was being suffocated by little Morgan.

Now it was Old Master’s turn to be tornted by the child.

As long as this misery didn’t befall him, Adrian was more than happy to stand by and watch, even taking pleasure in Old Master’s discomfort when pressed by little Morgan’s questions.

Old Master coughed and figured he might as well say it again: “Yes.”

“Yes to what?” Little Morgan blinked his eyes, showing no intention of letting Old Master off the hook.

Little Morgan thought that Old Master certainly needed more soul-stirring questions!
