Chapter 1142: Chapter 1142: How about You Hold with a Different Hand?_1 Chapter 1142: Chapter 1142: How about You Hold with a Different Hand?_1 Her lips gently grazed Peggy Lewis’s fingers.

From the tip of her fingers to her knuckles, Peggy was grazed by Lyke Zhekova’s lips.

Soft and sowhat moist to the touch, a tingling sensation spread from her fingers to the rest of her body.

Feeling as if she had been burned, Peggy quickly pulled her hand back.

The car was completely dark, so her flushed face was hidden from view.

Not only was her face feeling hot, the fingertips grazed by his lips were also burning.

Even though her fingertips were actually dry, she still felt the residual moisture from his lips.

...

At so point, the red light had changed to green.

But Peggy hardly noticed, she was in a daze, feeling a warmth spreading through her person.

Despite being the instigator, Lyke Zhekova was leaning back in the chair, half-closing his eyes, looking absolutely clueless to what had transpired.

It was only when the cars behind them began honking impatiently that she snapped back to reality, noticing that the light had been green for a few seconds already.

Peggy swiftly began to drive.

The fingertips that Lyke had grazed rested on the steering wheel, unconsciously rubbing against it.

SHE tried to erase the sensation that was still remarkably clear on her fingers.

But it was of no use.

The leather of the steering wheel was neither hard nor soft, it wasn’t any help.

Instead, it made the sensation even more palpable.

She couldn’t forget the feeling no matter how hard she tried.

Afterwards, Peggy dared not even look at Lyke.

Even when they stopped at red lights, she kept her eyes locked ahead.

Both her gaze and face didn’t shift for even a mont.

Lyke, for the sake of being cautious, held back and showed no inkling of a smile on his face.

Fearing that Peggy would see through him.

However, to allow Peggy to focus on driving, Lyke didn’t do anything more which might distract her.

It was a relief when they finally arrived ho, and after parking the car, Peggy was the first to get out.

Lyke unbuckled his seatbelt, but didn’t imdiately get out.

Instead, he continued to lean against the seat.

After a mont, he finally opened the car door.

He first moved his legs out, looking particularly strained.

He then placed his hand on the car door as if he was struggling to stand.

By now, Peggy had mostly recovered.

At least she wasn’t as disoriented as she was in the car.

“How are you feeling?

Are you dizzy?” Peggy asked as she approached him.

She couldn’t just leave him be.

“I feel sowhat weak, and my head hurts,” replied Lyke weakly, wincing as he spoke.

“How much did you drink?” said Peggy, grabbing his arm.

“Let help you up.”

“I weigh too much, you can’t lift ,” Lyke replied.

Peggy exerted so effort, but indeed she couldn’t lift him.

Lyke remained seated, as steady as a rock.

“Give your hand, I will get up using the strength from your hand.

You don’t have to exert too much force, just support .” Lyke said.

“Alright.” Peggy quickly extended her hand to him.

Lyke then firmly gripped Peggy’s hand.

His hand was dry and warm and big, almost completely wrapping around Peggy’s hand.

Ɲονǥο.сօ

The grip was firm.

Although not overly forceful, it could be described as solid and strong, leaving Peggy with no way to pull her hand back.

Lyke was plotting; if he pretended to exert effort to stand up, he could pull Peggy into his arms “accidentally”.

Would it be feasible?

Lyke thought about it and decided against it.

As he was sitting in the car, if he wasn’t careful, he could bump Peggy against the car, which could hurt her.

So, Lyke dismissed this idea.

For realism’s sake, he actually put most of his weight onto Peggy’s hand for support while getting out of the car.

Lyke casually closed the car door, Peggy locked the car, and then she supported Lyke as they walked towards their ho.

Peggy’s hand was still being held by Lyke, and she wanted to pull it back, but she couldn’t.

Her other hand was busy supporting Lyke’s arm.

Perhaps due to a lack of prying eyes, Lyke didn’t need to pretend anymore and put all his weight onto Peggy.

Peggy in turn, was finding it hard to walk steadily under his weight.

Especially as one hand was still being held by him, her arm was twisted making it not very convenient to walk, creating an awkward movent.

Peggy could only suggest to Lyke, “Could you hold the other hand?”

Seeing her discomfort, Lyke let go of her hand.

But he didn’t grab Peggy’s other hand.

When Peggy extended her left hand, he unexpectantly lifted his arm and slung it over her shoulder.

Peggy: “…”

Well, supporting him like this was sowhat easier than before.

But now, she was even closer to Lyke.

To the observer, it looked as though Peggy was being held by Lyke.

His perfu was particularly noticeable due to their proximity.

Having worn it throughout the day, it wasn’t as strong as when he applied it in the morning.

But the base notes had beco distinctly clear.

It had beco lighter, but with Peggy positioned in direct proximity to Lyke, the sll of his perfu was exceptionally distinct.

Peggy suddenly sensed that sothing was amiss and inhaled deeply several tis.

She could sll his perfu, so why couldn’t she sll alcohol on him?

Lyke was heavily intoxicated, even if the sll of alcohol was not strong, she should have been able to sll it.

Peggy unable to hold back her confusion, looked up at Lyke.

His face exhibited discomfort, creased brow and all.

“What is it?” Seeing Peggy looking up at him, Lyke felt a sudden jolt in his heart.

Had he given himself away?

Peggy sniffed him twice more, to confirm her suspicions, then asked, “Why don’t I sll alcohol on you?”

Lyke: “…”

“Actually…

I’m not very good with alcohol,” Lyke confessed, “According to the amount I drank tonight, it’s nothing much for other people.

Especially those with high alcohol tolerance, it would seem like they had nothing to drink at all.”

“But because I don’t socialize much and I rarely drink, even when I do attend social occasions, the amount of alcohol I drink is always minimal.

Hence my alcohol tolerance is low.

Even until now, a little alcohol is enough to get drunk.” Lyke said helplessly.

It’s true.

So people really can’t handle alcohol.

Hearing this, Peggy believed him.

Besides, Lyke did drink so tonight, he didn’t stay completely sober.

There wasn’t any sll on him mainly because he feared she would be repulsed.

Since he drank less, it’s normal for his sll to be faint.
