89 Chapter 89: The ambush!

“The gap between a low rated deviant is far different from a mid rate deviant... The gap in strength between the C ratings and the B ratings is just annoying” Alex complained.

“Hahaha! For soone so young with the D rating fitness to be able to draw out enough power to match peak C rate foes is not sothing you see every day... I doubt even Wilder had this much talent when he was your age” One sword complinted Alex earnestly.

“This has nothing to do with Wilder” Alex said as he shook his head.

“I need more power and to get what I want I need a more reliable and stable source... I am afraid I am still a long way from reaching my goals but what’s more painful is that I lack ti” Alex didn’t know why but he felt like One sword was soone to who he could speak openly.

“Huff! I won’t bla you for this but then it doesn’t matter... I believe once you get strong enough to d a threat, Wilder will kill you... This struggle is futile... I am afraid you may not survive it” One sword sighed and Alex frowned.

He too also harbored such thoughts. Wilder is not paying attention to him now because he is a ssily D rated deviant at best but when the ti cos and he reaches a prominent rating like the A ratings which could be considered the first step into the league of the top tier deviants and humans, Wilder Briggs may not be passive anymore.

He strongly believed right there and then he will be forced to battle Wilde Briggs to the death and his death is assured!

Alex sighed at the thought and staggered back. This was an obvious future but right now e couldn’t get himself to change the path he has chosen to walk. It’s like looking death in the eye and still walking towards it, even though you know it’s better to run.

“Am I going to die there or will I survive? No one knows until they give it a try! I have gone too deep to walk away now... I can only push forward” Alex declared decisively and One sword couldn’t help but smile.

Right now he believed Alex is sothing special and he was eager to see how the future plays out for him.

Alex wanted to say more but then felt smooth slender arms wrap around him and a soft bouncy chest pressing against his back.

“Don’t you even dare consider dying and leaving behind” Tracy said in a soft yet shaky tone. It was obvious she listened to their conversation and felt really anxious now.

“How long have you been here?” Alex asked softly.

“A while... I heard everything” Tracy suddenly paused.

She gently turned Alex around and gazed into his eyes before asking.

“You are not planning on dying and leaving all alone in this world, right?” Tracy’s eyes were wet and shaky.

Alex was stunned. He never knew soone from the Big four could get so emotionally attached to sothing or soone that they would act this way. He felt his heart lt and he quickly hugged Tracy tight and said the next words with so much focus it felt like a promise.

“I am the fucking absolute... You don’t have to worry... The person capable of killing is yet to be born!” Alex said coldly

The next morning Alex set out for his real mission. After a good night’s rest, he had recovered considerably. Although he still felt so minor aches here and there, it was negligible.

“Florida is one of the territories owned by the Briggs... Since it’s only yellow tier, the Briggs never really paid much attention to it... During that ti other gangs gained access to it... Smuggled drugs here, conducted their business without anyone stopping them” One sword explained.

“But things have changed... After the major event with the Tyrant gang... All mbers of the big four are eager to suppress all gangs, especially the Tyrant gang” Alex said calmly. He seed to have expected this from the beginning.

“Exactly... We have been waiting for your arrival, now you are here, we can finally make our move” One sword said with a nod which made Alex frown.

“what about the rumors surrounding the Tyrant gang pillar residing in this area... If he is here that changes things... An A rated deviant is not soone we can handle ourselves” Alex said calmly.

“It is still a rumor! Even if it’s true, Reinforcents will be deployed here... I assure you, your family won’t send us into a battle we can’t win” One sword said stubbornly.

“No one is saying we will lose... But how many will have to die to achieve victory” Alex muttered as he looked out the window.

His vehicle was an armored jeep, surrounded by more armored vehicles and vans, carrying the full force of the Briggs forces residing in this area. While many may think it may not be much but the reality remains that an army of fifty trained deviants plus powerful humans is not so force just anyone can look down on.

“Keep her safe at all tis... I will carry my weight and yours as well” Alex said as he shot Tracy a glance. She was seated next to him with a laptop in her hands.

One sword nodded in agreent. Although he didn’t fancy babysitting soone when he should be on the front lines, he still had no choice but to follow Alex’s orders.

“Drones deployed... We already know their hideouts... We are in for a grueso battle...” One sword said coldly.

“Listen to , everyone! Minimize civilian casualties and property damage as much as possible. As for the battle about to unfold, search and destroy! We take no prisoners! The Tyrant gang In Florida will be obliterated today!” Alex declared.

“Understood!!!” The cries shook the skies but sothing else followed!
