64 Chapter 64: Internship

He had nurous guardians under him getting paid on a monthly basis yet they barely had work to do. It’s clear that he was currently running the company on his family fortune which will be depleted sooner or later.

Silver and Alex are well known where ever they went so on their way their many guardians kept gazing at them. As they entered the staff already noticed them and quickly offered to guide them to Angel’s office.

After walking for close to five minutes they were led into a massive room at the Angel Beats Agency headquarters. A man was seated on a black chair, gazing at the world outside through the glass wall with a pack of cigarettes in his hand.

His gaze looked dull and he had dark circles under his eyes. He wore a white suit and his golden hair looked rough. The person Alex went through his pictures could be considered extrely handso, a lady’s man ye the man they are looking at now is nowhere near him.

“You knew of our arrival yet you dare et us looking this way?” Silver said in disdain but Angel didn’t look bothered at all.

He rely shot Alex and Silver a glance before he waves at his secretary to leave. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it up, taking a large drag before exhaling the smoke.

“There were better places to go... Why did you co to this shit hole?” Angel ignored Silver’s words and asked a question.

Seeing this attitude, Alex felt amused. It was rare to find soone who didn’t care about the position or connection a person has, he treats them all the sa.

“Interesting...” Alex said with a smile before he sat down and crossed his leg on Angel’s table.

“We are here to strike a deal... You listen to us, we revive your Agency” Alex was straight to the point and this made Angel frown.

This sounded like they want to take over his business and have him work for them.

“Because you are mbers of the big four doesn’t an you can go anywhere and do whatever you feel like...” Angel said coldly but Alex yawned in response.

“Did I say you listen to the big four? Did I tell you that the big four wishes to take over your business? Pay attention to this... We want sowhere we can stand out and make a na for ourselves and that’s why we are here... In exchange for us using our connections to get more jobs for you, we want to have complete freedom in these three months... We will not stand back and observed or watch guardians do our job for us... We want to go to the front lines..” Alex said.

“What my friend Is trying to say is this... We help the agency get more work and we have the rights all other guardians in this agency have... We pick jobs, we don’t need to be watched over, and finally, our opinions take high priority and our demands must be t” Silver said.

Angel remained silent and listened to what everyone had to say. He seed to be contemplating sothing but didn’t know how to say it. Alex and Silver are practically asking for the sa treatnt the best guardians in the agency get. While they may be mbers of the big four, they are still young and they are not official guardians yet. They can be treated with respect at most but the other demands are far too much.

“Why should I give you the sa treatnt as a B or C rated guardian working in the Angel Beats Agency?” Angel asked coldly.

“Because you are not paying us!” Alex said casually.

“Because unlike them, we can bring in work” Silver chuckled.

“Because we are mbers of the big four” Alex yawned.

“Because we brought with us a B rated healer and Volts own lead researcher Tracy Ainsworth..” Silver said.

“Because your company will keep benefitting from us even when we are gone” Alex laughed.

“Because you need us and you definitely don’t want to cross mbers of the big four” Silver added.

“We can do this all day” Alex said calmly

At this point, Angel’s face revealed how helpless he is to the situation. He gazed at Alex and Silver with tired eyes and sighed after considering so things.

“FINE! I only request you have a guardian act as your bodyguards when you pick dangerous tasks... If anything happens to you guys, I am as good as dead!” Angel pleaded as he watched Alex and Silver walk towards the door.

“Nope” Silver said.

“Request denied... Chill! We won’t pick a job we are not confident we can handle” Alex said.

“And we have absolute confidence in our abilities...” Silver said.

“We are going to look around a bit... Prepare sowhere for us to stay.. mind you we will prefer to stay together... Thanks for your cooperation” Alex said as they left the room.

“Talk to ” Alex said calmly as kept looking outside the window with a bored look on his face.

Ever since they joined Angel Beats Agency, they have been indoors all week, going through the type of things guardians face in the field and Ale was slightly stunned. Although he never value guardians much, r always thought their work would be easy but now, seeing everything, he was left stunned.

Apart from dealing with powerless humans who get involved in illegal activities, they also have to go against deviants who choose the life of cri. According to what he knows, there are three major gangs in Washington. The Tyrant gang, the blood ring gang, and the black scorpion gang. These three groups are so powerful and influential, there is little the governnt or guardians can do about them. They can only deal with the surface issues but to reach the core mbers of this gang is almost impossible now.

Right now, Alex decided to docs on activities concerning the Tyrant gang. Jobs are personally sent to him. Although he lacks the strength to uproot the Tyrant gang, he is confident he can shake them up a little bit. He is practically baiting them to attack him and Silver. If they should draw the attention of two families of the big four, it’s only a matter of ti before they are crippled.

“From what I have seen so far, the Tyrant gang has a lot of beast gears at the world level in their possession... For a while now they have been forcefully recruiting powerless humans, forcing them to wield beast gears Silver said.

“Not everyone can wield a beast gear... Those who fail beco Lost. They lose their will and are forced to live as slaves the beast gear! They will end up killing lots of people indirectly” Alex said coldly.

“Exactly! Statistics showed that the number of losts roaming around the country has increased threefold... Guess who is responsible” Silver said with a sly smile and Ale frowned.

“Why did you guys decide to single out the Tyrant gang? They are not the only ones doing this” Jason asked.

“Well, they pissed the wrong person off” Silver said while pointing a finger at Alex.

Tracy and Jason wondered what they could do to piss Alex off but since they weren’t given details, they didn’t push the matter. anwhile, Alex remained silent as he contemptated on what to do. This internship has given him a good reason to turn his attention to the Tyrant gang. As long as he can get them pissed off enough to make them harm him, the Briggs family will get involved and the Tyrant gang will be wipeout!

But Alex knew things won’t be that easy. The Tyrant gang has so business and strong ties with the governnt, that’s why they haven’t been destroyed all this while, his plans will definitely shake the country if he goes through with them.
