430 Checkmate!
Heh!
Damon revealed a cruel smile even within all the chaos as his body was illuminated by golden light. Surging far and wide, healing his soldiers of fatigue while strengthening them.
“WE ARE THE CHOSEN OF THE ONE DEITY, WE CAN NEVER LOSE TO THESE FOUL BEASTS” Damon’s voice bood loudly while his robes swayed madly in the fierce wind.
The stench of blood filled the world and no matter how much one tried to shake it off, they were never able to succeed. Damon watched his soldiers getting massacred with a straight face but he remained indifferent and kept watching. In the deepest despair, mortals tend to bend and seek the aid of God.
If the power of the Beyond fails them against these beasts they will naturally seek the power of soone who has proven to be effective.
Only the power of the dragon inheritance has yet to fail.
What Damon was trying to do was not win a war with the soldiers of the empire. Instead, he wanted to groom these soldiers to beco his own.
Help , lord!
I pray to thee!
.....
Lord! Save !
Slowly prayers began pouring in and so did the power of faith. At the greatest ti of chaos, the fifty thousand strong soldiers of Naz turned to the dragon emperor and prayed to him. Damon revealed a cruel smile like the devil who has just struck a deal with an unsuspecting mortal.
“Your prayers have been answered!” Damon said with a cruel smile as his power exploded and began surging through the veins of every soldier on the battlefield.
Every soldier began developing golden dragon scales, surging with a divine aura. The advantage these people held over the humans vanished as their base strength increased and they beca more beasts than n.
Buzzz!
The tide of battle changed the humans began fighting back massively. Unlike the Beyond and his subordinates who limit their powers to the priests, deacons, and mbers of the one church, Damon decided to prey on the greed of man. The more they prayed the more he would give out his power for these mortals to use but they will beco his pawns.
Damon stood at the center of all the chaos with a crazed smile on his face. Souls from all sides surged into his body and he began laughing crazily.
“What... What are you?” the Gravity cosmic spirit muttered with a deep frown.
Looking at this man, it was obvious it was not a little child. He wasn’t sure if this was the side effect of the dragon inheritance but this person was definitely not the child ant to bear this power.
“Huh? Isn’t that a dumb question or sothing? Who else am I ant to be? Are you expecting soone else?” Damon responded with a raised eyebrow.
He could respond by killing the deity but it would be too suspicious. Instead of giving the Beyond reasons to doubt him, he needed to gain the trust of the enemy.
“Are you enjoying all of this?” The Gravity cosmic spirit asked with a deep frown. He didn’t understand how a child would find sothing this grueso amusing unless he is not a child.
“And when has a dragon ever been afraid of a little chaos?” Damon asked and the eyes of the Gravity cosmic spirit widened in realization.
He has been looking at this kid as a human when he should be looking at him as a dragon. A dragon loves nothing more than chaos!
Hmph!
Damon’s eyes shone with cruelty but it wasn’t directed at the Gravity cosmic spirit.
Bang!
The world exploded as three spatial corridors tore open in the no-spatial zone generated by the priests and Deacons but Damon didn’t seem surprised. If Alex Briggs can break into this empire, shattering the no spatial zones of the Beyond then these priests and Deacons are nothing to him.
“There is one more card the enemy can play before we conclude this battle and decide the victor” Damon said coldly as three figures erged from the spatial gate sending a powerful shockwave across the platform.
Klien!
Lucy!
Micheal True Blood!
“I guess it’s ti we wrap things up here and call it a day,” Damon said coldly as he watched the figure in blood-red armor erge from the spatial corridor.
The eyes of the trio were pinned on the lone figure standing so distance away from the gravity Spirit. In an instant, these people recognize this man in their hearts and they felt excited.
“I apologize, the war can’t end here until we reach the imperial capital. We will push through you and keep pushing. That has always been the plan” Klien responded but Damon revealed a cruel smile in response.
“Get past first...” Damon’s eyes flashed with cruelty but a crazed smile could be seen on his face.
The battle was at its peak now. Battles taking place around them were just perfect and now he was about to give it his all.
“You did well but it all ends here,” Damon said as he shot the trio glances.
“As we said earlier, we are not done until we reach the imperial capital. You will have to wait a bit longer before taking our lives” Michael said calmly and Lucy nodded in agreent.
Heh!
Damon revealed a cruel smile as he turned cold the next second. Whose plan are these people following or have they forgotten who they are ant to listen to?
“You seem to forget who to listen to. Do I need to remind you?” Damon’s voice bood in the heads of the trio but they weren’t moved.
“Unfortunately, we cannot do as you wish. That man wields our strings of faith. We are all pawns in the hands of such a deity. For the sake of the mortals within the palace of death, we cannot lose now” Klien said coldly and Damon frowned deeply.
That man again!
Alex Briggs!
Damon flared up in his mind. No one person has caused him so many problems in a short amount of ti.
