307 Sunstar Palace

Alex stood with Sharyn by his side. His cold and indifferent look was one of the reasons for the incredibly tense atmosphere. Everyone’s eyes seed to avert Sharyn and were pinned on the crystal shaped hole in Alex’s chest. His condition was delicate yet his aura kept pouring out fiercely. He was trying to maintain an intimidating presence in the face of his enemies.

Alex’s aura vanished in an instant and the once intimidating man returned to his normal weak form which would make anyone ignore his existence. An elderly man seated at the far end of the room on the sun-shaped golden throne seed amused by what just happened and spoke first.

“Many of these young fools would laugh at you, thinking you could not maintain that form anymore and are forced to revert to your normal condition but I understand your real ssage. Even though you may look weak now, that power is still yours and can be summoned at any ti. You are trying to tell us that even if we succeed in killing you, we won’t leave unscathed” the elderly man gazed at Alex with bright blue eyes.

“At least soone here is smart” Alex chuckled strangely as his eyes peered deep into that of the elder without fear.

“You are strong” Alex comnded.

“Yet you are not afraid to threaten and my people?” The elderly man asked with a gentle smile.

“Hehehe! If Alex Briggs was such a coward, he wouldn’t have survived this long” Alex chuckled lightly.

“It’s nice to know the man I’m speaking with is not a coward. So tell , why do you co here hand in hand with my granddaughter?” The elder asked with a charming smile.

“The thing is I like keeping her by my side, so I ca to make her mine officially!”

A fierce yellow aura raced toward Alex like a whip, striking at him ruthlessly!

Alex casually tossed his hand in the direction of the attack and a powerful suction force erupted from him slowly but steadily consuming all the aura attack sent at him!

Alex’s eyes opened surging with power. His body slowly levitated off the ground as it turned black!

One of the royal family mbers was pulled out of the crowd by an invisible force, holding him by the throat!

“Your people have lost all respect for a powerful visitor like so I can’t be blad for acting this way” Alex said coldly and the elderly figure frowned.

“You dare act this way in my presence? Are you not afraid of death?” The elderly man asked with a calm look in his eyes

“Death? I don’t think there exists a man who can take my life alone. You are not an exception” Alex seed unfazed by the pressure gathering around him. His words could be considered blasphemy but he didn’t care.

In this world negotiations only take place between two beings of equal power. If he looks weak and timid these people will consu him in an instant. Subconsciously, Sharyn knew this was why she hadn’t intervened.

The elder leaned back in thought while looking at the youth. He seed interested in Alex and was considering so possibilities. His gaze shifted to Sharyn and back to Alex before he spoke

“It has been a long journey, rest properly and we will get the chance to talk more” The elder suddenly decided to end the matter. Alex wanted to speak but strangely all those in the room got to their feet and left the room while the guards led Alex and Sharyn to another room.

“Sothing is wrong... especially since they are willing to let us stay together” Alex said with a frown.

“Would you let them separate us? They already have the answer to that question so why bother trying in the first place?” Sharyn spoke absentmindedly while she lay on the bed and played with it.

Alex shot her a glance and smiled when he saw her swinging her legs playfully.

“I used to be the carefree one while you were always paranoid, what changed? Did we switch roles without informing each other?” Alex Briggs joked and Sharyn laughed before adjusting her position on the bed before speaking.

“I just realized how powerful and feared my man is, so I see no reason to be scared of anything. Am I wrong?” Sharyn said in a seductive tone while swinging and long legs around.

Hearing such a response, Alex could only smile. They were ant to return to Earth but for the sake of his injury, they ca here. They need to deal with their injuries quickly before choosing to do sothing different.

Seeing Alex only smile at her words and said nothing else, Sharyn could tell sothing was bothering him but she didn’t ask. She had gotten a fair understanding of Alex’s personality and she knew he didn’t like burdening others with issues he felt he could resolve.

“This ti, can you try not to get into a fight with my grandad? He is the most powerful figure on the planet so, I’m just scared we may end up repeating the events of planet Kan” Sharyn explained and Alex shot her an amused look on his face.

“Another fight of that level will kill . You don’t have to worry, I can’t afford to repeat such events” Alex shrugged his shoulders while he responded.

He walked over and laid down on the bed and slowly shut his eyes while Shary climbed his body and laid down on his chest. She kept ranting about things but Alex didn’t care much. He was paying attention and occasionally replying but deep down his focus was on his body.

Circulating his power around his body made Alex realize sothing that made him frown. His injury on the chest was far more serious than he expected. In fact, it doesn’t seem like sothing that can be fixed, he had this feeling that this injury would lead to his death.
