The space behind the door had two modest rooms. One of them contained the bed, table, and chair, while the other contained couches and the TV. There was a smaller room for the toilet and bathroom that could be accessed from the bedroom.
His attention was on the large boxed package of glass in the sitting room. He could see the slaves he bought within the box. They were two unconscious twin boys. The sight of them made him smile.
Wrath could also see them. But she wasn't happy to see them, so she didn't smile.
Instead she asked calmly, "Is this it? Please tell you're playing a prank on ."
He shook his head as he approached the box and said, "I'm not playing a prank on you. This is really what I exchanged for."
"You can't be serious. We already went through this. It won't work since you need contact with to make it work, but you need to trust to make contact with . You've only wasted your money."
He caressed the box and smiled. Then he said, "Trust , it will work."
She was genuinely confused and a little angry. It showed in her tone as she asked, "Why would you think so?"
He began to open the box as he replied, "Because Aganju said so."
He didn't say that Aganju had called her a liar. But even what he had said was enough to infuriate her.
She raised her voice as she said, "Aganju is a troublemaker. He is a liar who will say anything for fun. Why would you believe a god you just t over ?"

He shrugged and said. "It is no harm to . It is just 100 rit points. I can afford it. I am not the poor man I used to be. This won't hurt even if it doesn't work."
But Wrath's shadowy face was still gloomy. She didn't say anything as he began to open the box. But her silence was enough to say that she wasn't happy with the current situation.
Unfortunately, her silence and unhappiness weren't enough to dissuade Kelvin from doing what he wanted to do. After all, he had been looking forward to it for a while.
He unlatched the locks quickly and began the process of extracting their ability. This is sothing he had held off doing during the invasion because he was on enemy territory, and it might draw unwanted attention to himself even from his allies.
Now that he could finally steal destiny again, he felt exhilarated for his future.
He placed one hand on each twin and began absorbing their ability at the sa ti. He did so to make sure that he didn't get half of a coin. He wanted to acquire both sides of the coin to make sure that the ability is complete.
Wrath decided to chi in at that point. She asked a question. "Can you even absorb their ability? I don't think it will be complete."
He wasn't discouraged by her pessimistic attitude. He was still smiling as he said, "There is only one way to find out."
His disguise unraveled as his shape-shifting was deactivated. His black body with intricate and elaborate golden tattoos was revealed. The tattoos began to shine with golden light, which engulfed his whole body and spread onto the bodies of the two unconscious boys.
The golden light entered their body, found their ability, and dug it out of them. Then the golden light receded out of them and returned to his body.
When he was done, he had gained three abilities. One of them was Spirit Bond, the second was Vitality Bond, and the third was Power Bond. None of them were the so-called Resurrection Ability that was advertised.
The Spirit Bond is a symbiotic ability. It creates a spiritual bond between two targets. The two targets can use this connection to share their focus.
The Vitality Bond is also a symbiotic ability. But it is for sharing stamina and vitality between two targets. The Power, on the other hand, is for sharing abilities.
He got the first two separately. Each twin had only one of them. But both boys had the Power Bond ability.
He had seen these types of abilities before. They are usually common with supers in the summoner class. They use it to share resources, power, and abilities with the creatures or entities they had ford a link with.
So supers only have one. So it is impressive that the twins possess three such symbiotic abilities. But he is not happy because it isn't what he wanted.
What's more, abilities require consent from the target to form a link with them. So unless he can get them to agree to share their things with him, the abilities are useless.
He was silent as he contemplated what to do with the three abilities. They weren't what he wanted, but he wasn't willing to give up yet.
His silence was unnerving. Wrath couldn't take it anymore, so she asked anxiously, "What happened?"
He said, "Wait a minute. I have an idea."
His idea was to fuse the three abilities. This would require him to open a new slot for 320 ga points and then spend 30 ga points to fuse the other two abilities. with the first one.
So it would cost him 350 ga points to test his idea. But he felt that it was worth it if he could get what he wanted. Besides, he had a lot of ga points, so he felt that he could gamble.
Wrath asked impatiently, "What is it?"
He decided to tell her. "I got three abilities. But they are not the resurrection ability. So I intend to fuse them together."
She asked, "How much will that cost you?"
"350 ga points?"
She exclaid, "What? That's too much to waste on a gamble. Even if you get the resurrection ability, it might not even work on . You're gambling that things will work well twice in a row. Think about it. What are the chances that they will work out?"
She had a point, he understands her point, and he admits that her point makes sense, but he still shook his head.
"I know it is a gamble. But I'm willing to gamble for resurrection. It is like gambling with 100 dollars to earn 100 million dollars. The payout will be huge if I win. I have to take my chances."
Wrath groaned and said, "I hate Aganju. This was just a ga to him, but you took it seriously and are now wasting your ga points that you risked your life for."
She stopped discouraging him openly so that he won't suspect her of hiding sothing. Instead, she said that to discourage him subtly, but it didn't work because he already had his mind made up.
He went ahead to make the fusion. His eyes lit up when he saw the result and felt its power.
He jumped up in excitent and said, "Finally."
Wrath's non-existent heart was in her throat as she asked, "What happened?"
He looked at her with excitent as he said, "It worked. I got the ability."
She asked, "What is it? How does it work?"
"It is called Life Bond. With it, I can bind my life to yours. This way I can resurrect when I die. The two of us will have to die at the sa ti before I can be killed permanently."
She said, "That sounds good."
He nodded in agreent. "It is good. At least for . There won't be any benefit for you. It seems the ability is still missing sothing. I believe you need to have the Power Bond and one of Spirit Bond or Vitality Bond for you to gain a benefit of your own."
She exclaid, "Oh. I see."
Kelvin's face lit up again, and his joy reached a new peak when he activated the ability and he could sense Wrath with it. It ant that it could work on her.
Even Wrath felt the brush of the ability. It made her silent.
He looked at her in earnest as he said, "I just need your permission for it to work. You should feel my request now. As long as you allow it, my life will bind with yours. Then I will be able to trust you. You will be able to interact with the world, and I will gain your abilities. We will beco stronger together."
Wrath still didn't say anything. Her behavior was odd to him as he expected her to be happy. So he asked her, "Isn't that good?"
She nodded. "It is good."
"Then why haven't you accepted the link?"
She beca silent again.
He felt that sothing was wrong, so he asked her. "What's wrong?"
She said, "Listen, Kelvin. I can't do this."
He was taken aback by what she said. "Why not?" he asked her with visible surprise and disbelief on his face.
