Kelvin winced, but he didn't stop. He said, "Co on. He is not so bad. He is a true god, after all. There has to be so redeeming qualities in him."

That was the fuse that blew the gasket. Wrath took the bait and exploded like a volcano. It was ironic, but Kelvin didn't have the opportunity to appreciate it.

She said, "Bad? Bad would be an understatent. Not only is he a coward, he is also stupid. That makes him a bad god, but he is worse than that."

"He is worse because he is jealous of my intelligence. I ca to a conclusion that was almost identical to the true matter without access to the kind of information he has. But he can't admit that I am more intelligent than him and would rather be petty by calling my theory garbage."

"I have seen many prideful and pompous gods, but this is the first ti I would be seeing such a lowly, good-for-nothing, brawn-over-brain, idiotic..."

It looked like she would continue insulting the true god forever. Unfortunately, she couldn't continue because her figure exploded.

She disappeared, and his environnt returned to silence. But the silence was soon shattered by a deep, booming voice that echoed against the walls of his mind.

"Hehe. Good one. I like you, Kelvin."

He winced and stumbled when the voice appeared in his mind.

Then the true god asked, "Where did you get your sense of humor? Was it from your father, the Patriarch?" Discover hidden stories at My Virtual Library Empire

He had to stop everything he was doing to grasp his head because of the splitting headache.

There was a silence after that that Kelvin was supposed to fill with an answer to the question, but he didn't reply.

Kelvin didn't reply because he knew that Aganju already knew the answer to the question. The god is only ssing with him, which is sothing he doesn't want to encourage.

The god spoke again. "I liked your trick. But I didn't like what she said about ."

"I am indeed bored, and the suspicion in your mind that my little tidbit caused was indeed fun to see, but I didn't say it just for fun. Believe it or not, I truly ant well."

Kelvin sat on the ground and asked through clenched teeth, "Then what is she lying about?"

There was silence in his mind, which caused the pain to leave. Again, he didn't like it.

He thought to himself grimly, "I guess I threw Wrath to the wolves for nothing."

He had baited Wrath so that she would curse out Aganju and give him the fun he wanted. He thought that if Aganju was happy with Wrath, the true god wouldn't bother with him.

But it seems he was wrong. Wrath had taken things too far, so Aganju was still hell-bent on making his life difficult.

He stood up to resu cutting down trees when the powerful intrusion into his mind happened again. It caused him to stumble to the ground.

"That was fun to see."

He just sighed and accepted his fate that he was dood to be toyed with by a true god.

The voice cackled in his mind again. "Don't be like that. Alright, I'll tell you. That sneaky and lying bitch of a will lied to you when she said that she isn't sure that the ability of the Gemini won't work if you don't trust her."

"How do I know that she lied? Because I know for sure that it will work."

Kelvin's mind was on the verge of cracking. But he still gritted his mind and said, "The fact that you know that it would work doesn't prove that she lied. Maybe she didn't know, or maybe she did know; you can't be sure about it. Maybe she was just being cautious. After all, she didn't say for sure that it wouldn't work."

But the only thing he got in return was silence.

The silence allowed his mind to rest and allowed him to think. The only thing he had to think about was the implications of what Aganju had just said.

He is not decided on whether Wrath was lying to him when she said that. But if Aganju is right and he doesn't need to trust her to gain her immortality, it will be a big load off of his chest.

He thought to himself, "If my life becos tied to hers and I gain her immortality, I will be able to take the risk to trust her. Who would have thought it?"

"If I didn't know any better, I would think Aganju secretly likes Wrath and wants to trust her."

But he knew better. He knew that Aganju wouldn't do sothing to help Wrath, so he couldn't be happy that the biggest obstacle to him trusting her has been removed.

It is because now he is suspicious that there is sothing else that he is not seeing that is standing in his way to finally trusting Wrath.

He thought to himself, "I bet it will beco clear when I hitch my life to hers."

He stood up and resud cutting trees.

His mind was heavy with thought as he did so. He was absent-minded as he cut the trees.

He should be happy and glad that he will be able to beco immortal soon, but his happiness is mixed with a faint sense of foreboding too.

He doesn't know if he should look forward to that mont or not. It brought back to mind what Wrath had said about ignorance being bliss.

It made him groan and complain, "Why ? Why can't he have fun sowhere else?"

Aganju's voice invaded his mind again. He said, "Looks around."

He had fallen on his butt because of the abrupt ntal intrusion. But he did what the god asked him and looked around.

What he noticed was that no one was looking at him. They didn't so much as glance at him when he stumbled and fell on his ass. They didn't think anything was out of place even though he was clutching his head and groaning in pain.
