That need for speed is why he had one of the smallest kill counts in any ga for that ga. In fact, he almost lost the ga because he was held back by the angry guy who wanted to punish him for trying to increase his kill count. He barely made it to the top ten back during that race.
This survival of the fittest ga will be similar except worse. There will be the sa amount of players participating in it, but this ti, every player will be dropped in the ocean around the island.
The players won't be dropped on a single track with limited space. So he won't be able to kill them in passing. In fact, he won't be able to see a lot of the players because they will be dropped far away from him or on the opposite side of the island.
Even if he decides to prioritize kill count this ti around, he won't have much success as the players will be too far apart to make his hunt efficient.
He will also have to spend a lot of ti in extre environntal situations looking for them. He can just imagine how wasteful it would be for him to hunt soone in a desert under a sandstorm while the other players are rushing towards the top.
The fact that there is no goal for kill count ans that every player will be focused on reaching the top. So he has to do that too, or he will be wasting his ti.
Only when he gets closer to the top of the mountain, where the area he has to hunt in is at its smallest, will he have better efficiency at killing. But that will interfere with the goal of the ga and might make him lose.
He shook his head in pity and said, "The best I can get for my kill count is probably a maximum of 10. That is too small."
This ga is very harsh to players as it has a high environntal elimination rate. Most of the players that are eliminated before the ga ends are usually because they drowned in the ocean, froze to death in the ice plain, died of dehydration in the desert, or fell into a lake of lava and were burned to death.
Very few players are eliminated at the hands of other players. So his hunting prospects are low by his best estimates. His kill count is actually highly likely to be less than that. He might not even et a single other player on his journey to the top.
Things are that bad. Many players that have been grouped with him are probably panicking right now. They have a month to prepare and are probably doing everything possible to gain more power and train so that they will be able to survive better.
But he is not doing any of that. He is not worried about making it to the top of the mountain at all. Instead, he is worried about the lack of people to kill.
He decided not to wait a month to participate in such a disappointing ga. He decided to go for the more risky option. He decided to sign up for the foreign battlefield.
The process of signing up for the foreign battlefield is very easy. Any player in the professional league can sign up for it in an instant. All they have to do is click the option to opt out of a ga.
This option is not available for those in the amateur league. They can't change their ga, refuse to take it, or decide to sign up for a more dangerous option. When it is ti for their ga, they will be dragged from wherever they are to participate in the ga.
But those in the professional league have more options. That option is to sign up for a war to conquer an unknown world that will last for an unknown amount of ti.
His heart was beating wildly because of both fear and anticipation as he went through the procedure to sign up.
The process was simple. All he had to do was click an option. It is sothing he can do with his mind, so it should be instantaneous. But he kept hesitating at the last mont.
He was looking forward to it as he would get to visit a new world, see new things, fight new enemies, and earn a large amount of ga points. That last part is the most important reason why he is signing up for it.
But he also rembered the demigod in the city and Wrath's warning about eting many such beings on the battlefield. This made him hesitate in signing up.
But he only hesitated. The decision has already been made, and his mind is made up about it. He was slow in clicking the option, but he eventually did.

He received a prompt imdiately.

- Note that this decision cannot be reversed.
He nodded and said, "Yes, I'm sure."
He received another prompt.

The prompt stopped there for a while. anwhile he felt like eating his fingers because of the anxiety he was feeling.
He wanted to hurry it up, but there was nothing he could do. He could only wait.
Finally, the system finished determining his deploynt and gave him another prompt.
