He was almost dead.

Gil recovered his body for a whole month, almost dying at the hands of Samuel Foster. Afterward, he investigated who the Dhurudatta had paid to investigate him. When he found out that Louis Baxter was the one hired by the Dhurudatta family, he felt cornered. He couldn’t get Louis Baxter on his side, the man had dealt with Shem Powers before.

Gil shuddered in horror. He knew he was already dealing with people from the ruthless circles. However, he never thought the situation would be like this. He had to do sothing, and listening to Samuel Foster’s request was the only way to avoid being blad later if sothing happened.

However, he felt that bringing Shiloh into this plan was a bad thing. That man had already killed Madam Rose for kidnapping Shiloh, it was only a matter of waiting for him turn to get the sa treatnt if he didn’t co up with a plan soon.

He glanced again at the file in his hand.
