A large house dominated by white looks so quiet, so children’s toys scattered on the floor with a cute colorful carpet, it’s such a ss out there, so photo figurines hanging on the wall shows three people smiling broadly and also a boy who looks beautiful, also displayed on the cupboard.
From a room whose door was slightly open a child sat there, playing with sothing, his little legs wide open, his little hands busy arranging toys from one place to another. The child sat alone in the spacious room.
The boy had beautiful eyes with straight, fluffy hair, which was now so light in color. There was nothing to hide if one day people began to suspect a change in the boy.
"Seth..." The call made him turn his head. The boy with the pretty face was staring at a woman standing behind the door of the room.
"Mama..." He called out her, his eyes sparkling, he smiled widely, but then disappeared into thin air. He looked like he was about to get up from his seat but then he just turned his head briefly and went back to being busy with his toys.
The woman with dark brown hair sighed, her hands were on her chest and she looked at the boy with a sad gaze. She grasped the dicine bottle and then took one tablet.
A maid approached her, her body bowing perfectly before entering the room that had another see-through door besides the open wooden one. The maid approached the boy and stroked the top of his head, the boy chuckled, picking up the milk bottle the maid was holding.
"You took that dicine again?" The woman turned around, a man who was now her husband was staring at her with an angry eyes. The woman sighed as their eyes t, she was just about to leave when he held her back. He took the dicine bottle by force and threw it on the floor, rudely closing the door to the boy’s room that it makes a loud sound.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! WHY DID YOU THROW AWAY MY DICINE?!" Maeve, Mateo’s wife squealed loudly, she imdiately ducked down, her knees hit the floor hard and picked up one by one the dicine scattered on the floor, trying to put it back into the dicine bottle she was holding shakily.
Mateo clenched his fists and glared angrily at the woman, he stepped on the scattered dicine with the toe of the loafer he was wearing. This had happened many tis and Mateo did not like it every ti Maeve behaved like this.
"Stop it! Stop it! What are you doing?!" She screeched, scooping up all the shapeless dicine while crying hysterically. She tapped Mateo’s leg with her hand. She begged, her voice shrill with cries.
"Maeve, stop it..."
"No, I don’t want to! I don’t want to stop taking this dicine!"
Mateo crouched down, he then hugged the woman tightly. Maeve was sobbing, her hands still clenched around the dicine bottle and the crumbled dicines. Several maids approached them, the quiet house was now so crowded, again, rumors about the husband and wife were circulating in the house.
It has been the third year since Seth coming this house. The baby’s cries have now turned into babbling and squealing laughter. The boy who used to sleep all day and cry when hungry started to ask for food and whine when sleepy. However, Maeve and Mateo could not enjoy the mont.
Seth should be the source of happiness in this house. But the more he grew up, the more that happiness drifted away in this house. The house that should have been warm because of the boy’s presence was now colder after the boy grew up, Seth’s laughter never belonged to either of them.
His birth was awaited by many people, by both big families who wanted this child. Although he was born from the Oga dominant who was hated by the Elnathan family, the genes of the Oga dominant were important to give birth a good generation. It’s what they called as the Super Gene.
"This child is the successor to the Elnathan family." Mateo said as he brought the still-so-red Seth into the ward specially prepared by the hospital staff after Seth’s birth.
Maeve was sitting on the bed in the room, dressed in hospital clothes as if she had just given birth to the reddish boy. She sat there like a stranger as the elders began to approach Mateo with Seth in sight, crowding around the boy as if he were a long-lost heirloom.
Her eyes stared at every corner of the room that didn’t care about her, people were more interested in staring at the baby. Her presence wasn’t important, but she had to act like she was pregnant and gave birth to this baby.
She was forced to beco part of these people.
"Maeve, you need to start building a bonding with this baby." The old woman who still looked so beautiful that she called ’Mom’ looked at her with a glare, as if her years of anger still remained for Maeve. The look in her eyes that Maeve had been so familiar with since she was so little and didn’t understand why the people she called family looked at her like that.
The younger woman who had just fulfilled her family’s wish to marry a man she didn’t even know before nad Mateo just nodded slowly, agreeing to the request of the woman she called ’Mom’. She could not resist, even her voice would never be heard because she is an Oga Recessive.
Yes, they treated her that way just because she was an oga recessive.
In this world, an Oga is treated unfairly, they experience a lot of oppression, and are even just used as objects to satisfy the lust of the Alphas. Moreover, a recessive Oga who even has the possibility of having a child is almost zero percent. Only a Dominant Oga has a decent life.
However, the Dominant Oga who gave birth to Seth was not accepted by the Elnathan family because of his family’s past. The family went bankrupt, Maeve heard that the Oga’s father approved the surrogate mother without the Dominant Oga’s consent.
In the end, the dominant Alphas and Ogas in this world do treat other ogas as they wish.
"They do everything they can just to get a child with a Super Gene." Maeve murmured.
"Maeve, you can hold him..." Mateo interrupted Maeve’s wandering thoughts, Maeve’s brown eyes turned to stare at the tiny reddish baby. His eyes still closed, the baby’s pink lips pushed forward, his little hands clenched into fists, he looked so cute.
"What’s this baby’s na?" Maeve asked in a low voice.
"Seth.... His na is Seth..."
The baby was then handed to her by Mateo, from Mateo’s hands to Maeve’s. The baby moved in her arms, a strange movent. Maeve still looked at it, but then the baby cried. Loudly. Even his tongue stuck out. Maeve was surprised at the baby’s reaction, Mateo imdiately took Seth back into his arms.
The people in the room were silent to see what was happening.
"This baby, he is rejecting Mrs. Maeve’s pheromones..." The doctor said that a few days later in front of their big family, all the tests had been done because every ti Seth was in Maeve’s arms, the baby cried loudly like he was in pain.
Maeve stared silently at the baby in Mateo’s arms. Even a reddish baby who had just been born into the world had rejected her. Was that baby also an Alpha who rejected an Oga Recessive? Was it an instinct?
"The surrogate mother gives him pheromone shower when the baby is born, a baby born to an oga male usually recognizes the pheromones of the person carrying him more than a baby born to an oga female."
Maeve was silent, playing with her fingers on the blanket she was wearing.
Oh, I’m being rude to a baby. She thought.
As the parents began to get angry and protest about it, forcing the doctor to do sothing, Maeve glanced at the baby in the bassinet a little way away from her. The baby was still asleep, not understanding what his parents had done to him so that he couldn’t get any affection from anyone else instead his own parents.
"A selfish oga, but I would have done that too..." Maeve muttered, she turned her gaze in another direction, staring at the falling leaves, her smile broadening. That day she felt satisfied with what the Oga had done, but in fact another hell awaited her. She had to take a pheromone suppressant to hold the baby when they were in public, the pheromone suppressant was damaging her body, making her even more tornted.
But strangely, the pain she felt was outweighed by the desire to hold the baby, a baby who could only cry and had no power in the house, the cold house alienated the baby and Maeve didn’t want that to happen.
