Chapter 229: Devastating Results!

Witnesses and Observers

Flas covered the sky, and lightning and fire crisscrossed the air.

On a low hill, Jack Harvey, Maeve, and Stan Darloff silently watched the distant sky. The flashes of energy radiating through the clouds were visible even miles away.

Maeve murmured, "I always thought Luke Shaw's strength was in his intelligence and scheming, I never expected him to be this powerful."

"Terrifying power, terrifying impact!" Stan Darloff channeled his telekinesis, sensing the trembling in the air. He couldn't help but say, "His strength is far above ours."

Jack Harvey's face was grim; it was unclear what he was thinking.

Maeve worriedly asked, "Do you think he'll win?"

Stan Darloff shook his head. "I don't know. I'd love to go observe the battle, but..."

"But what?"

Stan Darloff pointed to the Hummingbirds circling in the sky.

"He doesn't want an audience."

In the small town of Greenland, Zatanna curiously inspected the silver tal sphere in front of her, saying,

"Emily, is your boyfriend really not an alien?"

Emily was exasperated. "You've asked that six tis. I'm not answering."

"But if he's not an alien, why does he have such a cool spaceship? It can fly without visible propulsion—that's clearly not Earth technology. And the exterior and structure! Is your boyfriend truly not an alien?"

Emily rolled her eyes. "Seventh ti."

August agreed with Zatanna. He walked up to the tal sphere, extending his right hand, but was blocked by an energy film before he could touch it.

"An outer defensive shield—technology you only see in sci-fi movies. I never expected to encounter it in reality."

"Emily, tell honestly, is Luke Shaw really from Earth?"

Emily was completely speechless. More than the silver sphere, she was worried about the battle in the forest. The demon's power was imnse, and she wondered if Luke could handle it. She prayed he would be alright.

Clash of Titans

Unbeknownst to them, the fight in the forest had already lasted half an hour. One combatant, wreathed in flas, resembled a Fire Lord from a fantasy epic; the other controlled lightning and death, an Ancient Demon who had survived countless ages.

Both sides were fighting with true fury.

Energy spilled everywhere. All vegetation within a two-kiloter radius had vanished, leaving only a stretch of scarred, pitted mud.

Luke, wearing the Phantom armor, hovered in mid-air. Three Fire Dragons circled around him, and in the palm of his right hand, a dark green Dragon Orb slowly took shape.

The Dragon Orb was materialized energy, created by compressing the green flas to their absolute limit. Even before it fully ford, an intense pressure radiated from it.

Ghast was panting heavily. The continuous high-intensity combat had left his magical power severely depleted. Yet, the earthling opposite him showed no sign of fatigue and was even capable of compressing that much fire into a small sphere.

"What is the origin of this guy?"

Ghast muttered to himself. Feeling the terrifying fluctuation emanating from the sphere, he had no choice but to mobilize all his remaining power, laying down layer after layer of magical barriers in front of him.

The battle had undergone a fundantal shift. Ghast, who had originally been the aggressor, was forced onto the defensive due to the exhaustion of his magical power, ultimately being pushed back and overwheld.

He knew many spells, but against Luke, whose body was wreathed in green fire, most of them were ineffective. Furthermore, he discovered a crueler truth: his all-powerful magic was actually being corroded by the green flas.

The impossible was truly happening. This ant the energy level of the green flas was a level above that of his magic.

"Terrifying power, terrifying earthling."

Ghast took a deep breath. While setting up defenses, he hid his right hand behind his back, his fingertips turning pitch-black and glinting with a dark, sinister light.

Finger of Death!

A forbidden spell among demonology, possessing absolute destructive power.

This move will definitely kill the bastard!

Ghast narrowed his eyes, his gaze cunning and vicious.

Once the Dragon Orb was complete, Luke held nothing back. Standing atop the lead dragon, the three fire dragons roared at the sky and charged forward together.

The smallest dragon took the lead. After smashing through fifteen layers of barriers, it was shattered by a bolt of lightning. The second fire dragon followed imdiately, tearing through the electrical storm and slamming into the barriers.

Boom!

A brilliant ripple of energy exploded in the air, like a magnificent fireworks display.

All of Ghast's defenses shattered. His body was flung back dozens of ters by the shockwave. Feeling the bone-deep killing intent rushing toward him, he could only grit his teeth, using his ager remaining magic to lay down barriers to slow his opponent's advance.

"Mr. Ghast, you truly impress ."

Luke's killing intent was boiling, but his tone was mocking. "In my experience, demons are synonymous with greed, cunning, and cruelty, never with a spirit of facing death head-on. Your performance, however, is making change my mind."

"I must admit, you are a formidable warrior. To show my respect for a warrior, I will collect your body and keep it well preserved."

The third giant dragon roared, shattering the final barriers and sinking its jaws into Ghast's body.

The green flas seeped into his flesh. Intense pain spread from the depths of his soul. Ghast grit his teeth, a huge surge of lightning crackling from his left arm, striking the dragon's body. The dragon's head was shattered by the lightning, and its body turned into a column of fire that rushed forward. For an ordinary person, this single attack would have incinerated their soul, but Ghast endured it, his eyes half-closed, fixed intently on the rapidly approaching Luke.

The distance between the two closed quickly. Luke could even see the demon's body convulsing.

This guy really is tough!

Luke let out a cold snort, abruptly accelerating. His right hand, dragging the Dragon Orb, struck the demon squarely on the forehead.

Boom!

The nearly materialized green fire exploded. A green fla storm erupted in the sky. Ghast scread in agony. Fighting through his blurring vision, he raised his right hand.

A black beam of light shot from his fingertip, piercing through layers of fire and striking the chest of the Phantom armor.

The strike was so powerful that it actually penetrated the Phantom armor, leaving a perfectly straight corridor of black light in the sky.

"You..."

Luke was stunned, his eyes filled with disbelief. Feeling the terrifying energy spreading across his chest, he quickly mobilized all the green flas to surround it. The Death Energy was slowly being consud by the fire. Even so, a thumb-sized hole appeared in his chest, and blood seeped from the wound, trickling down.

"Ava!"

"I know, Young Master."

Six tiny tentacles erged from the inside of the armor. They simultaneously applied pressure to stop the bleeding and cleaned the wound. Necrotic and rotten flesh was swiftly cleared away, while two doses of life-saving serum were injected into Luke's body.

In just over ten seconds, the injury stabilized. The wound was sealed with bioskin gel, and the bleeding stopped.

Luke coughed heavily a few tis. He exerted force through his right arm, pressing the Dragon Orb into Ghast's body.

The green flas burned fiercely from the inside out. Soon, the demon Ghast's soul appeared, struggling and roaring silently within the green fire.

Luke was furious and didn't give the demon a chance to explain. He reached out, grabbed the soul, and exerted force suddenly.

Bang!

The fire exploded. The imnse soul shattered like broken glass, splitting into countless pieces.
