Barney tried to de-escalate the situation while raising his hands and slowly kneeled down to show that he didn't an any harm.
"I know you, Krar. You are a good person, not a terrorist. You played with my daughters, and looked after them whenever they needed you, why would you do this now?" Mrs. Kane also tried to appeal to Krar's humanity, hiding her daughters tighter behind her as if trying to shield them with her body.
Her tear-stricken face trembled as she struggled to control her fear. Yet, despite what an onlooker might assu, the terror she was feeling right now wasn't for herself but for the lives of the two little girls hiding behind her.
