The next morning, Diana took Viktor to the training ground.

The car drove for more than half an hour, leaving the city and heading toward the suburbs, eventually stopping in front of a plot of land surrounded by a black fence.

There were no signs at the entrance of the fence, but Diana swiped a tal bracelet on her wrist, and the fence slowly opened.

As they stepped inside, Viktor’s eyes flashed with surprise.

The training area was much larger than he had imagined, almost as big as a normal golf course.

The ground was covered with a special elastic material, and in the distance were several training targets of different shapes. There were also a few transparent energy barriers that glowed faintly in the sunlight.

"Superman and Batman helped build all this equipnt together."

Diana explained as they walked.

"There’s an anti-gravity device inside that can simulate a vacuum environnt of space and an energy shock simulator that can simulate different strengths of attacks."

She raised her hand and pressed a button on a nearby control panel. Suddenly, Viktor felt his body lighten, and the gravity around him weakened by more than half.

The ground beneath his feet seed to beco soft.

...

For the next week, Viktor began his training.

Diana’s training was completely different from the brutal training of Viltrum. She never asked him to use destructive attacks; instead, she preferred to guide him in executing more precise movents.

"Strength can be used for destruction, but it can also be used for protection."

Diana said as she held his wrist and helped him focus his strength on the target’s specific spot.

"You need to learn to feel the direction of your power and make it act according to your will, rather than being driven by instinct."

He listened carefully and tried really hard.

He noticed that Diana was much stronger than he had imagined. Even though she held back her full strength, her hundreds of years of battle experience allowed her to easily knock him down.

This style of combat, relying purely on skills and experience, was not sothing he had ever seen before. In fact, the Viltrumites also trained in combat techniques.

However, due to their superior physical strength compared to most other planets, Viltrum’s martial arts were designed to quickly kill enemies of the sa level, with extrely aggressive moves aid at vital spots.

But what Diana demonstrated was different. When their powers were equal, Viktor’s barbaric fighting style couldn’t gain any advantage against her.

During their breaks from training, Diana would occasionally receive distress calls from other areas to handle chaos caused by supervillains.

Each ti, Viktor would stay behind at the training ground to practice alone or put on a hoodie and wander the streets of Boston by himself.

The streets of Boston were filled with a mix of vintage and modern atmosphere.

He walked slowly along the Freedom Trail, observing the red-brick roads lined with 18th-century buildings that blended harmoniously with modern shops.

He stopped at Quincy Market, enjoying the sll of roasted lobster and clam chowder.

Sitting on a bench by the Charles River, Viktor watched the sunlight glisten on the surface of the water while so young people rowed boats and played in the distance.

This peaceful scene was sothing he had never experienced on Viltrum, and it gradually eased the tension in his mind that had been built up over many years.

Sotis, Viktor would watch from a distance as Diana dealt with villains.

Diana held the Godkiller Sword, with golden light flashing on the blade in the sunlight, but she never caused any fatal damage to the villains.

Each of her attacks was carefully aid at the enemy’s pressure points, making them lose their ability to move, and then she would deliver a non-lethal blow to knock them unconscious.

He stood in the shadow at the corner of the street and frowned.

This combat style seed like a sure way to get yourself killed.

She had a sword powerful enough to slay gods, yet she only targeted non-lethal areas, which was both exhausting and gave the enemy a chance to counterattack.

Viktor’s instincts were screaming at him, urging him to rush in and deal with those guys in the most direct and violent way, but he ultimately held back.

The strength and calm deanor Diana displayed made him acknowledge that this "non-destructive" combat style was also a sign of a powerful warrior.

He didn’t realize that while he was observing the battle, a figure in a black cloak, hidden behind the clouds, was watching him intently with eyes glowing with a strange red light.

"My dear sister, when did you get such a fierce sidekick?"

The mysterious person used magic to carefully sense, growing more and more surprised. This seemingly young boy harbored an extrely powerful combat ability and a strong sll of blood around him.

From the magical perspective, Viktor was surrounded by a dark red and black aura, filled with countless grudges. The number of them alone was almost as powerful as her brother, the God of War, Ares.

Yet such a terrifying mortal had no record in the divine archives, as if he had appeared out of nowhere in this world.

"An interesting little man."

The figure in the black cloak curled the corner of her mouth into a strange smile with a glint of calculation in her eyes.

Diana repeatedly interrupted her attempts to draw the energy she needed from the human world, and she longed to give her a painful lesson.

...

That afternoon, Viktor finished his training and, dressed in a gray hoodie, wandered around the North End of Boston.

This area was full of pizza shops and cafes lining the streets, the rich aromas drifting through the air. The walls were adorned with colorful graffiti.

He was lowering his head, admiring handmade jewelry from a street vendor, when a shadow, cloaked in magic, lightly landed beside him.

The sudden presence caught his senses. He instinctively turned to look and saw a bald, white woman. She had a pair of eerie green eyes and gold hoop earrings and was dressed in a tight black skirt that showed off her curves.

He furrowed his brow, instinctively feeling that her appearance was a bit too odd. He thought she might be involved in so sort of special line of work and turned slightly to avoid her.

"Excuse ."

"Don’t be in such a hurry to leave, little human."

The woman’s voice had a strange allure to it, and she slowly opened her palm.

In her palm sat a shiny golden apple. The surface of the apple glowed with a soft golden light, as if countless tiny runes were swirling within it.

"I have sothing nice I want to give you."

As soon as he saw the golden apple, Viktor’s pupils suddenly contracted. A desire that was hard to describe surged from the depths of his heart. It was an instinctive possessiveness from his blood.

The woman’s eyes glead with satisfaction. She could feel the magic of the golden apple starting to take effect. This apple was a divine artifact, and even the young Zeus had not been able to resist its temptation.

With just one more push, this boy would completely lose control.

However, she hadn’t expected that Viktor’s reaction would be far more direct and brutal than she anticipated

The mont the desire surged, Viktor didn’t hesitate at all, and his body suddenly shot forward, so fast that it left an afterimage in the air.

Before the woman could react, his fist, cutting through the air with the sound of wind, pierced straight through her chest.

"Ugh..."

The satisfaction in the woman’s eyes instantly froze, replaced by an expression of shock and disbelief. She looked down at the bloody hole in her chest, completely unable to understand why things had escalated to this point.

He ignored her shock and quickly reached out to grab the golden apple from her hand.

The woman spat out a mouthful of blood, and her eyes filled with panic. She instinctively used her magic, causing Viktor’s hand to pass through the golden apple.

It was as if the two were in different spaces and unable to touch each other at all.

"Dammit! Where did this barbarian co from?"

The woman initially thought she could breathe a sigh of relief, but she hadn’t anticipated that his second reaction would still be swift and dangerous.

He pulled his hand back from the hole in her chest, then gripped her spine tightly with his five fingers.

Although he never encountered magic, Viktor’s heightened combat instincts told him that he first needed to incapacitate this woman to seize the treasure.

She was one of the goddesses with a resilient body, but she was not a combat-type god and could not withstand Viktor’s imnse strength.

"CRACK!"

"CRACK!"

"CRACK!"

The sound of her spine cracking under the pressure echoed through the air.

The imnse pain caused the woman to scream, and the protective magic around the golden apple broke down due to the chaos in her mind.

In the next instant, Viktor successfully seized the golden apple while also ripping the woman’s spine apart.

The cold tallic texture of the apple contrasted strangely with its warm surface. The tempting magic emanating from it made his gaze grow even deeper.

The woman’s body slowly started to beco transparent, her confusion turning into resentnt and unwillingness before ultimately dissipating into a wisp of black smoke.

He stood still, holding the golden apple, and his gaze slowly shifted from confusion to clarity. Looking down at the golden apple in his hand, Viktor scratched his head.

"What is this thing?"
