Seeing Batman and the others start testing and studying the new theory again, Emperor Viktor quietly turned around and left the Watchtower alone.
When he reached the sea level near tropolis, Emperor Viktor felt around his waist and took out a normal-sized earpiece.
This was the device Atomica left for him to continue contact with the Cri Syndicate.
As for Atomica herself, she had already gotten off at the Watchtower earlier.
"As you heard, this universe currently has no magic box."
Before Owlman could speak, Ultraman’s slightly worried voice ca through.
"Then what do we do? I’m afraid we don’t have much ti."
"That’s your problem."
Emperor Viktor snorted coldly.
This rhetoric is too familiar.
Owlman really was like a copy of Batman.
He could already guess what the two of them would say next.
They complained about how difficult the plan was going.
Owlman pretended to be troubled and asked him for help again, promising so benefits that sounded good but weren’t true.
Ultraman pretended to be angry about dividing up more of the "cake," and Owlman patiently tried to persuade him again.
As long as Emperor Viktor took the bait, they would get free labor. It was just like how Superman and Batman in this world tricked Viktor.
"I already gave you information and helped Atomica infiltrate the Justice League’s Watchtower. If you still had no confidence in the plan, why not just wait to die in that world?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Ultraman, who had been cooperating with Owlman, suddenly beca furious.
He snatched Owlman’s earpiece with his tone full of gloomy, threatening aning.
"Boy, you’d better not be too arrogant."
"Since when can you interrupt when people are talking?"
Emperor Viktor replied coldly and crushed the earpiece in his hand.
He wasn’t going to put up with Ultraman’s bad temper.
If they couldn’t get along, then there was no point in talking anymore.
Hearing the static sound as the communication was forcefully cut off, Ultraman was stunned for a mont.
He thought about Emperor Viktor’s last words, and suddenly beca furious.
After struggling hard to suppress his anger, Ultraman gritted his teeth and looked at Owlman.
"What gives him the right to talk to like that? Did he think he was great? He was just soone oppressed by Superman. What gives him the right not to fear coming to that world and directly beating him to death?"
Owlman looked helplessly at the ruins in front of him.
To calm himself down earlier, Ultraman had smashed all the expensive equipnt in his base, including the computers.
But after thinking it over, Owlman also started to feel that sothing was wrong.
If that anomaly who called himself Emperor Viktor was afraid of Superman, why would he be so confident in front of Ultraman?
They weren’t planning to completely tear their faces apart, and their cooperation was still ongoing.
How dare he be so arrogant in front of Ultraman?
Emperor Viktor, about to reach the beach villa, suddenly felt sothing wasn’t quite right.
He hid himself slightly, took a big detour, then flew silently along the sea beside the cliff, and finally stepped onto the beach without making a sound.
After carefully observing the traces in the sand grains on the beach, Emperor Viktor floated without touching the ground as he quietly approached the figure sneaking near the villa door.
"What are you doing here?"
"Ah!!"
Emperor Viktor’s sudden voice startled Zatanna, who had been peeking through the window.
Zatanna turned her head around.
After discovering Viktor, she patted her chest and let out a sigh of relief.
"Why didn’t you make any sound at all. Luckily, I didn’t have any heart problems."
Zatanna scolded him with so annoyance.
But when Zatanna t Viktor’s eyes, an invisible pressure suddenly gripped her heart, and it felt like her breathing was cut off in an instant.
There’s no smile on Viktor’s face, not even any extra expression.
The way he looked didn’t seem like he was looking at the sa kind of species, but looking down on so lower-level creature.
"What are you doing here?"
He repeated the sa question, but the atmosphere beca even more tense.
Zatanna suddenly realized sothing.
As a magician, Zatanna was standing a bit too close to soone as powerful as Superman.
Even though Zatanna herself is an extrely powerful magician, she could also use a powerful spell to cause planet-level destructive power.
But for Viktor, at this face-to-face distance, Zatanna didn’t even have ti to say half a word.
Fortunately, Zatanna reacted quickly.
She didn’t try to hide it and instead spoke directly.
"You scared . I just wanted to visit Rachel. Regarding her magic seal problem, I went back and consulted so ancient magic books and ca up with a few new ideas."
Emperor Viktor’s expression finally softened.
"But the last few tis you ca, you didn’t act this sneaky."
The invisible pressure disappeared, and Zatanna finally relaxed.
She also noticed that whenever Rachel was ntioned, Viktor beca much easier to talk to.
"What do you an sneaky? I thought we were already friends."
"...Rachel’s friend. You’ve already joined the Justice League, and my information shouldn’t be hard to find. But I still apologize for scaring you just now."
He opened the door.
Zatanna tried to follow him inside, but the door was casually shut in front of her.
What kind of person is this?!
Zatanna rolled her eyes and huffily stood at the door with her hands on her hips.
After a mont, Emperor Viktor opened the door again.
"Rachel’s ntal strength has been sowhat bad recently. She might be in deep ditation or sothing."
Hearing such an obvious way of sending her away, Zatanna snorted and turned to leave.
"Then let’s talk next ti!"
Seeing Zatanna’s attitude, Emperor Viktor finally dropped his suspicion and quickly stepped forward to grab her arm.
After all, Superman’s so-called commotion from fighting Lobo previously attracted him away from Earth for a mont.
In the end, he didn’t even see Lobo either.
After returning, Emperor Viktor discovered that in the short ti while he was away, Zatanna was already so close to Rachel.
This happened one after another, and it all felt too coincidental.
He couldn’t help but wonder if he had been exposed or if the Justice League had tried to lure him away.
But he also couldn’t afford to offend Zatanna too much. Rachel’s problem still needed to be solved.
So far, Zatanna is also one of the few magicians he could trust.
"Uh... maybe we could exchange contact details and set a ti."
Zatanna turned back unhappily and glanced downward to hint at her arm.
He smiled awkwardly and let go of her arm.
"Then tomorrow it is. No matter how much ditation, one day should be enough ti to recover her ntal energy."
"Okay, okay. I apologize for what happened earlier, Ms. Zatanna. You were really a kind and beautiful magician..."
A few flatteries cost nothing, and he didn’t mind changing his attitude for Rachel’s sake.
After watching Zatanna leave angrily using magic, Viktor finally closed the door again.
