"Watch out, V!"

As Karl rushed toward their position, Jack and V had already engaged Wildwoman—and even though the fight had just begun, things were spiraling fast.

Wildwoman was stronger than expected—way stronger. In fact, she was several levels above anything Jack had anticipated.

Jack ca from the Valentinos. He'd seen gang bosses before. But in the Valentinos, leaders were more about uniting the crew and calling the shots—rarely about brute force. So when he heard Wildwoman was the regional leader of the Animals, he figured she'd be around "hard mode" level—like in a training sim.

What he got was "nightmare mode"—the kind where you get your heart ripped out before you even realize you're in trouble.

The Animals only respected one thing: strength. Only the strongest rose to the top. And for a woman—who naturally started with a smaller fra—to reach the absolute peak of this gang?

Yeah, Wildwoman was the real deal.

Over two ters tall, her body radiated raw power. Scans lit up her titanium-reinforced skeleton, wrapped in steel-like slabs of muscle. Beneath the blood-red glow of her skin were hints of subdermal nano-armor. And strapped to her back? A Sandevistan—already active, fully pushing into Berserk.

Her Gorilla Arms looked like they could shred rebar, and in her hands she swung a massive warhamr—easily weighing hundreds of kilos. In her grip, the thing flew like it was weightless. Every swing was a cyclone. The wind pressure alone nearly sent V flying.

BOOM!

The hamr smashed into one of the mall's huge support columns. Thick enough to take two people to wrap around it—and it crumbled after a single blow. Cracks ran down its length, and when she yanked the hamr back, the whole thing collapsed into chunks of rubble.

"Holy shit—if that thing hits you, you're dead!"

V rolled, scrambled, and dodged like a donkey in the mud, firing a few shots from his Unity—but the kinetic rounds barely scratched her. At most, they tickled.

"Should've brought a real damn weapon!"

"Hah! V, the way you're whining about your gun right now? You're just like Karl back in the day."

Wildwoman, eyes glowing red like a predator, lunged at V like a cybernetic bear. Jack fired up his Berserk and charged in from the side, slamming into her and knocking her slightly off balance.

"Good thing the rest of the Animals scattered when she went apeshit. If they'd joined in, we'd already be dead."

"We're already getting wrecked, Jack!"

V shouted, tagging her with his optics.

"Oliver—red ping! Neck!"

"Copy that."

BOOM.

A shot ripped through the mall—and a chunk of Wildwoman's shoulder vanished.

"Shit! She's got insane danger sense with that Berserk active. Missed the ping—hit her shoulder instead!"

"I saw that, Oliver. Still hit sothing. Didn't you say hitting certain muscles affects strength output?"

Jack asked over comms. Just then, glowing red eyes locked onto him—and the hamr ca swinging again.

"The deltoid. But forget that—it doesn't matter. Her body's so far past human limits, normal rules don't apply."

"Dios bendiga..."

Jack fell back, barely dodging the hamr. The wind pressure alone nearly sent his braids flying.

"Aren't the Animals supposed to be into juicing and stims? This boss looks more chrod than we are."

"They just hate old-school chro. Y'know—basic optics and junk. But strength-boosters? Gorilla Arms, Berserk, Sandevistan? Na an Animal who doesn't want those."

Reloading, Oliver adjusted his Cat-Bot.

"Give another tag. I can't see through the hole I shot—it's half buried under rubble. Four walls deep—too much junk in the way."

"We'd love to—but we can't, Oliver!"

V tossed a grenade. Wildwoman swung her hamr like lightning, batting it away—BOOM. It exploded mid-air, completely ineffective.

"With that bulk and that speed? Jack—you got any more grenades? Distract her! No way she can deflect every single one before detonation."

"Used 'em all. Ours are low-yield, no friendly fire. Even tid right, they barely scratch her. Forget it—try to flank her, V!"

"Flank her?!"

"Her speed's from that Sandevistan on her back. You see the glow? Lucky us—looks like she was doing so chro maintenance and left it exposed. I'll distract her—then it's all you, V!"

"All ? Jack, what the hell are you—"

Before V could finish, Jack was already charging straight at her.

"Co on, pendeja! Jackie Wells is here!"

Wildwoman, still deep in berserker mania, roared and brought her hamr down in a brutal arc. If it connected—even with subdermal armor—Jack would've been pulp.

"NOW, V!" Jack shouted, ducking low and slipping under the hamr's arc.

"It's all you!"

"I'm already there!"

V had moved the mont Jack did. As Jack locked Wildwoman in close and held her in place with his Berserk-enhanced strength, V slipped in from behind.

One precise shot—straight into the exposed Sandevistan spine mount. Sparks flew. V grabbed hold of the chro, twisted—and tore.

CRACK—BOOM—KRRRRTCH.

With a burst of sparks and chanical shrieking, V ripped a chunk of the Sandevistan clean off.

"CO ON! I AIN'T AFRAID OF YOU!!"

He roared into her back, face twisted with fury, chro sparking in his grip.
