As everyone continued drinking and partying in the Afterlife Bar, David and Claire returned. Many low-level rcenaries and fringe people, having witnessed David's incredible performance earlier, now flocked to the bar. They hoped to either drink with him or introduce themselves to the bartender and strike up a conversation.

Among the marginalized individuals at the bottom of Night City, strength was the one thing that earned respect. Not to ntion, David might actually possess so mysterious Eastern power that was even more alluring.

However, most of the people approaching were simply curious or seeking a bit of excitent. Their admiration for David's strength was likely more out of intrigue than genuine respect.

Before David had the chance to speak, Claire stepped in. With a firm voice, she turned them away: "Go on, go on. If you want to drink, do it yourself. David needs rest after that duel. If you need to mix drinks, co to ."

Faced with Claire's no-nonsense approach, the rcenaries had no choice but to leave in frustration.

David couldn't help but feel a warmth in his heart. "Sister, thank you."

Claire barely glanced up from her work, shaking her head with a playful smile. "Don't ntion it. You, kid, act recklessly sotis. If I didn't keep an eye on you, who knows what trouble you'd cause next?"

David smiled and nodded, grateful for her protection. "I really appreciate it."

"Alright, sit down and take a break. I'll handle the bartending," Claire continued, glancing at him as she moved behind the bar.

David rubbed the back of his head. "By the way, did you ask Jack to buy pizza? He didn't eat earlier when he ca to work, right?"

David smiled sheepishly. "I forgot about it in the middle of all the chaos."

Claire shook her head with an exasperated sigh. "How do you even survive in Night City?" she muttered, puzzled by his carefree nature.

A few minutes later, Jack returned to the Afterlife Bar carrying two large bags of pizza.

"Here you go, David, the pizza you wanted!" Jack said, handing him the bags and settling back on a barstool.

David gave a casual smile, eager to eat after the long day. "Thanks, Jack."

The two shared a mont of idle conversation.

"Hey, David," Jack began, eyeing the pizza. "Who are you buying all this for?"

David took a large slice. "I'm eating it myself."

Jack's eyes widened. "You're going to eat all that yourself?"

David shrugged. "Yeah, what's the problem?"

Jack was incredulous. "Can you even finish all that?"

David's response was simple: "It's a stretch, but I'll manage."

Jack continued to stare in disbelief as David quickly devoured the entire pizza. It was gone in re monts, each slice disappearing in rapid succession.

"Oh my god, David!" Jack exclaid, eyes wide with shock. "How fast can you eat?! Your mouth works faster than a sewer drain!"

David couldn't help but chuckle at Jack's overreaction. "Are you complinting or insulting ?"

Jack stared, his mouth agape. "I can't even tell anymore! This is the first ti I've seen soone eat pizza that fast, and that much! You're sothing else!"

David shook his head with a small laugh, trying not to take it too seriously. At the sa ti, he was starting to realize sothing unusual: when using his Devil Fruit abilities, his energy consumption skyrocketed. His body was burning through calories at an alarming rate.

His intake and ability to replenish energy had both skyrocketed. He had just eaten twenty large pizzas in one sitting without stopping once—sothing he would've never thought possible before. But now, even after eating all that, he still didn't feel full.

It was beginning to dawn on him: this was likely another effect of the Devil Fruit powers. As his magnetic fruit abilities grew, so would his appetite and energy consumption.

"Hey, David! Congrats!" A familiar voice pulled him from his thoughts.

David turned to see Rebecca grinning at him. She was standing with the rest of Mann's team: Mann, Dolio, Sasha, and Qiwei. But wait—soone was missing.

"Heh, just a fluke," David responded with a humble smile. "By the way, where's your brother?"

Rebecca hopped onto a barstool and pointed toward the dance floor. "Oh, that guy? He's over there."

David followed her finger and saw sothing that made his eyes widen. There, in the center of the dance floor, Pyrrha was performing a wild, acrobatic pole dance. His movents were swift and coordinated, swinging from the pole, squatting, and thrusting his hips as he spun. He was so focused, it was almost like he was a professional.

David's mouth dropped open. Pyrrha pole dancing? Was this really happening?

Rebecca chuckled at his expression. "Yeah, he's having fun."

Before David could say anything, Jack burst out laughing. "Ha, your brother is really sothing! If he keeps this up, he'll fit right in with the crowd on Twisted Street."

Twisted Street. It was known in Night City for its cheap thrills and indulgence in vices—a place where anyone with a certain... reputation could make a living. And if Pyrrha was really dancing like this, it wouldn't be hard to imagine him getting hired there.

Rebecca grinned. "Maybe. It all depends on whether he's interested."

David turned to her with a raised eyebrow. "Really? I didn't know Pyrrha had this hobby."

Rebecca shrugged nonchalantly as she popped a piece of gum in her mouth. "I guess we all have our secrets."

At that mont, David couldn't help but laugh. It was clear that life in Night City always held a few surprises, no matter how familiar you thought you were with it.

As they all watched Pyrrha's wild performance, David turned to Mann and the others. "So, you all ca to the bar. Anything in particular on your mind? Want to grab so drinks?"

Mann, who had been sitting off to the side, leaned forward, pulling down his sunglasses and revealing one eye. He stared at David with a knowing look. "Kid, do you know Lucy?"

David froze, sensing that this conversation was about to take a turn.
