It has been 16 hours since Lille first presented the Ultron robots to the European Union.

In those 16 hours, the devastation in Italy and Turkey has been fully publicized, and through the internet, people are able to understand what they are facing:

And they begin to realize that their military command systems are almost useless.

Their networks need to be repaired by Latovia; their governing systems need to be maintained by Latovia; their social order needs to be protected by Latovia...

Without Latovia, without King Lille, two countries would have already been overrun by Ultron!

Thinking about the internals of the Ultron robots, people’s emotions turned to panic...

So they didn’t have the energy to question the hints appearing on the internet, and the Latovian engineers entering mines, factories, farms... all production facilities.

This small country, though its population is far less than the European Union, has almost spread its signal across the whole of Europe with the help of advanced technology, and its control spreads along with those unmanned drones.

What terrified the rulers even more was that Latovia also had robots.

These robots displayed almost indistinguishable mobility from humans, and could even communicate, making it impossible to tell they were robots...

And in fact, they were indeed humans, only from another world.

Latovia’s labor force was not abundant, and just maintaining local construction and facilities required a lot of manpower, not to ntion the engineers previously dispatched to various places to build the network, making manpower exceedingly scarce.

But with cybernetic-biological integration and multidinsional communication technology, the surplus labor from another world could directly arrive here.

[Night City Worker A: The current production training chips are becoming increasingly advanced; it feels no different from a real mine...]

[Night City Worker B: These people do not look professional at all.]

The prosthetics controlled by "drivers" from Night City are adapted to their work, with miner robots in the mines enhanced for blasting, excavation, collection, and accident prevention; while in factories, they are wiring robots equipped with transformation, programming, and power control capabilities.

In the silent city, people hid in their hos, watching as robots erged from the Latovian delegation’s residence and entered their factories.

To be honest, Europeans have faced no small amount of shock recently, no wonder they are now filled with fear—

Powerless military forces, scarce resources, the fear-inducing atmosphere of the invading robot legions, all strain their minds, leaving them with no work, no life, only confusion and fear for the future.

Walter was just an ordinary person; ever since the financial collapse, the civil war in the United States, and the internet outage, he had been unemployed at ho for several months, finding a job seed like a fantasy, and his family of four barely got by on relief food.

Lille had no intention of hiding the battles in Italy and Turkey; all Europeans could watch the battlefield footage online—

Seeing Latovians and their high-tech equipnt on the streets, the brutal reality of war might not have descended upon them directly, but the sense of dread had already reached their hearts.

"What... what will beco of us?"

In his confusion, a sudden tingling sensation spread through his head: he knew what it was, a brain-computer interface.

Even though he had been unemployed for a long ti, he still had a brain-computer device that could access the Latovian network.

[——Latovian network connection complete——]

[——National production system restructuring——]

[To all European citizens: According to the ergency war decree (European Union Parliant Resolution 223), we will now centrally allocate overall social resources in the European Union.]

[To ensure the operation of society and prevent war from destroying everything, all citizens need to contribute their strength.]

[Data matching in progress...]

[Matched occupation: CNC Technician]

[Assigned to: Berlin Second Warti Production Base]

[Production base status: Being rebuilt]

[Please proceed imdiately to your workplace—]

[We must win this war.]

In the dimly lit ho, Walter looked at his wife in astonishnt, only to find her looking back at him...

Their eyes glowed with a faint blue light, and they instantly understood they had both received job allocation notifications from the network.

[Do not worry about family mbers unable to work at ho, as we will provide them with separate educational institutions to ensure their safety and education.]

[Public transport will arrive at the bottom of your building in 5 minutes.]

In the dark, the couple quickly made a decision: rather than sitting at ho waiting to die, it was clearly more promising to find a job and contribute to the war effort at this point.

Outside on the street, lights ca on, led by a Latovian patrol team composed of a soldier, with the rest consisting of unmanned cars and drones as support.

People hiding in their hos gradually erged from their houses and apartnts, boarding the transport vehicles uniformly, coordinating through the vast production network with robots controlled by Night City laborers.

Fear and confusion are often broken by simple commands—

Of course, this is also related to Lille’s image:

He did indeed help Europe recover from chaos, did indeed win against Ultron, did indeed save the people in the cities...

On careful consideration, since Lille’s na first appeared in people’s sight, he had never committed any proven acts of terror; instead, his enemies were all odious.

If Lille truly were the "Doctor Doom" as described by Rocksen Group and the President of Shufa, he wouldn’t even need to help the indifferent neighbor that is the EU!

If those sensitive enough would imdiately notice this information actually bypassed the governing bodies of various countries, directly reaching those within each nation implanted with brain-computer interfaces.

Politicians quickly discovered that under the orders of another nation’s leader, their citizens had begun moving in an organized manner!

What’s more, many politicians also had brain-computer devices and received instructions from Lille—

Before Lille infiltrated the European Union, they were the ones giving orders; if they didn’t cooperate, who knew whether an even bigger ss would unfold?

Even though information technology and cyber interface technology can exponentially increase the efficiency of social coordination, both from the perspective of social transition and device production, all this still requires ti to complete.

A smooth transition is evidently beneficial to social developnt and mobilization.

Many politicians accepted this reality: they were incapable of handling the current situation and silently began issuing new laws and restructuring the governnt according to the instructions...

In the darkness, there were, of course, so discordant voices: so citizens like parasites, lazy and diligent; so politicians like stubborn old n, smart and foolish.

The forr’s laziness, whether from fear or ignorance, led them to refuse cooperation with Lille’s allocation; yet they were diligent enough to shout and protest loudly.

The latter wisely realized the forr’s existence, wisely realized they could still criticize Lille for bypassing legal procedures, wisely realized they could join the forr in causing trouble, to force this "dictator" Lille to relinquish so power.

But they were foolish in that they wrongly perceived Lille as a kind person, one who could easily enslave Europe through violence and control, yet pretended to care about legalities like so Holy Mother...

They thought they could use this thod to preserve their positions of power in the new world.

But handcuffs and bullets could correct their thoughts—

And entirely legally, without violating "public opinion".

It is difficult to quantify the significance of these actions, but from a macro perspective, everything transitioned so smoothly—

As if Lille simultaneously won a landslide election in dozens of countries in the European Union to beco the leader, and at the sa ti won all legislative institutions’ votes to beco the sole legislator.

Yet no one found anything wrong with it, whether from a rational or emotional standpoint, they all gladly accepted it.

A vast system was gaining new life on the dying European continent.
