The ocean was vast and boundless, presenting a layered blue under the sun, from erald to deep blue, rging with the distant sky and sea.

Everyone’s distance to the sky was different.

Those standing atop Arasaka Tower, those living in skyscrapers, those residing in the small wooden houses of Saint Domingo, and those lying on the streets of Night City.

Everyone saw different things, so saw the extravagant Night City, so saw the sky obscured by high-rise buildings, and so...

were born blind.

Due to the severe environntal pollution in Night City and the higher-than-normal levels of nuclear radiation, it was common for people to be born with physical disabilities.

But on the ocean, the sea was endless, and it seed as if everyone was at the sa distance from the sea level.

The waves propelled the ship, swaying it, and the unique salty sll of the ocean felt a bit pungent to V, who could not sll the oil and other machinery.

"Ooo~"

A group of dolphins jumped out of the water, spraying the people on the ship, looking as if they were laughing—

[V, "Holy shit, killer whales! Why can’t I see their cyber devices?"]

[Lille, "These are dolphins!"]

[V, "Huh? Are there any killer whales?"]

[Lille, "No!"]

In the Cyberpunk World, so companies developed cyber biological combat bodies during the war, essentially implanting cyber implants into marine animals like dolphins and orcas, controlling them to participate in raids and attacks.

This tactic was massively successful, and a legend—Waylan Old Snake—once rode such a cyber bio-body.

However, in the Marvel World of the sa era, animal protection organizations were still striving to tell people to reject animal performances.

[V, "It looks...quite cute, huh? This thing...an octopus?"]

V noticed an octopus that had jumped onto the deck and picked it up to examine it closely.

[V, "Holy shit...this texture, why does it feel just like the little octopus I touched last ti?"]

[Lille, "Why does touching an octopus feel like touching an octopus?"]

[V, "Fuck you."]

Dolphins, whales, seabirds...many animals appeared in the scene, greatly expanding V’s imagination—

[V, "Why are there so many strange animals?"]

[Lille, "Don’t you think your question is impolite? This is how they naturally look, what’s strange about it?"]

In the Cyberpunk World, bodies were intricately developed, information was acquired in a singular and one-directional manner, and most people’s aesthetics, acceptance capacity, and imagination were relatively limited.

After all, rather than caring about an animal one might never see in a lifeti, it was more practical to worry about how to earn tomorrow’s living expenses.

The ship sailed from morning to evening, yet the land was still nowhere to be seen.

The novelty of heading out to sea gradually faded with ti, and perhaps by tomorrow morning, V would be reminded of the feeling of watching the sea, but by the afternoon in the Super Dream...

She would just want to lie on the deck.

The gentle, continuous waves seed to be telling an ancient and eternal story, interspersed with the cries of seagulls.

Such a different experience from Night City.

This was the second ti V fell asleep while watching Super Dream.

...

V would never know that the sea she was watching existed in reality, and at this very mont was facing the risk of war.

"Recently, attacks in the Somali Sea have shocked the world, and the Central Command will dispatch the navy to sweep the area."

"According to sources, pirates might have caused the loss of so important national assets, and the i Army will dispatch the navy to retrieve them."

"Rumors suggest that the cargo ship carries Captain Carter, a WWII veteran from 70 years ago, who once worked with the current Secretary of State Barnes, who has yet to respond to this matter."

"Online news: The recently established multinational Atlas Group plans to brainwash Captain Carter..."

[Barnes, "The news is true, the navy is planning to build a base in Somalia, obviously targeting you guys."]

Lille anticipated this situation, which was one of the reasons he insisted on keeping Carter in Africa.

Captain Carter was not Captain Arica, and her presence in i Country might not necessarily be a good thing—

The societal situation was complicated, and although she in so ways could no longer be considered a normal woman, if soone intended to put her on the hot seat, it would create a lot of trouble.

But in Africa, her combat skills were still useful, and she could continue to uphold the glorious image of WWII, attracting so passionate young people to join Atlas and develop Africa.

This was a deliberate arrangent; Africa would beco an important battleground, attracting enemy fire.

This way, on the surface, Hydra and Rocksen would have to simultaneously deal with the oil barons in the Middle East and the black brothers in Africa, leaving them with little capacity to manage other places.

Thus, Latovia could quietly beco a second stronghold, developing silently.

Christopher, who had once stayed in Lille’s apartnt for a period, had already arrived in Latovia, bringing along a batch of high-tech equipnt.

This batch of resources was ordered through multiple layers of the internet, covertly shipped via various cargo ships to Europe, and then delivered to Latovia by him and Silver Mink Security Company.

[Christopher, "Mr. Lee, I have now established myself in an uninhabited village."]

[Christopher, "The next step is to repair the buildings and contact the clan."]

[Lille, "Very good, now find the crate with the surgical equipnt, inside is a simple surgical table, I will perform surgery on you remotely."]

[Lille, "This is demanding, but you must use the brain-machine interface to quickly learn the company’s technology."]

[Lille, "Over there, you must take charge of all business like I do."]

[Lille, "You need to understand the land of Latovia, understand what happens on it, then tell the people there what the world outside Latovia is like."]

[Christopher, "I will—I’m going to connect the power now!"]

The young man responded quickly, without a hint of hesitation.

Lille wasn’t wrong about him—every impoverished place had so upward forces, and these people, these forces would be the key to his covert operations.

Africa would beco a must-contend-for place, and Latovia would quietly develop in Europe, ready to promote Atlas’ standards when the ti was right.

Although that land had no notable resources, having people willing to step up was a good start.

With oil being monopolized, Lille would widely replace it with clean energy—from the coast of Tanzania to the entire Mount Kilimanjaro region, wind energy, solar energy, and hydropower could all be effectively utilized.

Once clean energy was saturated, thyl-2 and nuclear energy would be put into daily use.

As long as Africa stood firmly... the local oil would be sufficient as industrial raw material.

The current issue was: in this Somali Sea operation, Atlas’ war weapons were no longer sufficient.

They needed larger vehicles, stronger firepower, more..prehensive control.

Certainly, Lille himself needed it too.

Lille stared at the dynamic world map before him, marking his multiple strongholds and developnt directions on it.

As Skye’s data mining deepened, more and more enemy markers appeared on the dynamic map—

From i Country to Europe, even in parts of the Middle East, Africa, and the Nordic regions, they had a presence.

Lille’s forces would take these three bases as a foundation, exporting advanced and mature civilian technology standards to the outside to gain support.

This was a race, and an invisible war of smoke and mirrors.

And ultimately, one day, it would erupt into a large-scale hot war.

Lille leaned back in his chair, closed his eyes, and waited for the next traversal.
