I allowed them to et to see if they could aid in increasing the fusion compatibility, as they had the other CRs.
I took the opportunity to look into the details of his status sheet.
[ Enhancents: Ignition Hoof Piston (legs)
Function: Coverts hoof strikes into explosive bursts of mana plasma energy, thereby doubling the impact force, and allows for short, propelled dashes.
Special: Can release a chain of three consecutive dash-strikes in quick succession, leaving behind trails of searing plasma that scorch the area. ]
[Enhancents: Antler Conduit Array (Antlers)
Function: Stores and discharges condensed mana plasma arcs for physical attacks or as short-range blasts.
Special: When overloaded, the antlers create a localised plasma storm around the user that disrupts enemy mana circulation and stunning foes within range. ]
[Enhancents: Hydro-Core Regulator (Torso)
Function: Integrate the user’s water affinity to stabilise its fire output to generate controlled steam cloaks that conceal movent and mana signature.
Special: When near water or in high humidity, mana regeneration doubles, coating the beast’s body in a vapour shroud that obscures enemy vision. ]
[Enhancents: Tail Servo System (Tail)
Function: Tail reinforced into a segnted whip, able to lash with molten strikes or discharge bursts of mana-plasma attacks. ]
[Enhancents: Targeting Visor Overlar (eyes)
Function: Cybernetic optical lens that improves eyesight.
Special: Enhanced night vision, detects heat signatures, and predicts the target’s trajectory. ]
[Enhancents: Adaptive Plating (Hide)
Function: Layered cybernetic armour that shifts between heat resistance and kinetic reinforcent, and reduces cutting and piercing damage.
Special: Automatically absorbs a portion of fire or water damage and rechanneles it into the next physical or range attack. ]
Only one upgrade didn’t have a special function.
While the last two enhancents shared similarities with the CRs, they possessed unique functions that distinguished them from one another.
Despite the Fire and Water attributes being a rare combination, beasts with opposing attributes often had an evolution limit on how strong they could grow. However, they compensated for their lack of potential with incredible power.
It was precisely because of that incredible power that I chose the Cybernetic Flaming River Deer.
As long as I had the resources to continue upgrading it, its cybernetic evolution would be limitless.
[ Fusion Compatibility: 20% ]
Fortunately, it worked.
The CRs were incredibly effective in increasing the Cybernetic Flaming River Deer’s fusion compatibility.
I approached the deer.
The CRs all stepped back.
"Before we start, I’m going to give you a na."
"How about ’Victory’?"
I had wanted to go with CFRD1, or CD1, but because this was a beast that respawned every few days after being slain, if the task wasn’t completed within that ti fra, suspicions would surely arise, and people would start asking questions.
I was already aware that my actions had begun attracting other students who previously monopolised the latter portions of the Dungeon Hall tasks.
That was sothing I didn’t want to happen.
Considering that this might be the only Cybernetic Flaming River Deer I owned, I decided to na it sothing different.
I stretched my hand and gently rubbed its tallic head.
The raging flas on its antlers dimd, allowing to feel them as I pleased.
The Cybernetic-Enhanced Flaming River Deer nodded.
[ Na accepted: Victory ]
[ Fusion Compatibility: 20% ]
"Do you know why I nad you ’Victory’?"
Victory shook his head.
"It’s because this cybernetic transformation has enabled you to break through your evolution limit, which once bound you and others that ca before you. In the future, when facing those you once called predators, you will erge ’Victorious."
[ Fusion Compatibility: 50% ]
I knew that my words would earn so fusion compatibility points, but I hadn’t expected them to cause it to shoot through the sky, rising by over fifty per cent in a single minute.
Nonetheless, I was being honest.
With the upgrades he was about to receive, not even the so-called predators would be able to rival it in strength.
I glanced at the others, sensing their curiosity.
I hoped they didn’t ask why I had nad them CRs, or else I would have to make sothing up.
Fortunately, Felix was guarding the cave. Otherwise, knowing his playful and curious nature, he would, without a doubt, have been the first to ask.
"I’m going to give you so upgrades which I’m certain you’ll love."
Victory stotted gently in happiness.
The ground beneath cracked open with each collision.
"Okay, that’s enough."
I chuckled.
I didn’t want the cave to collapse from beneath us.
"Let’s begin."
I opened my storage bag and took out eight weapons.
They were the Storm Chain Guns, Hearthbreaker Launcher, Silencer Arc-9 Sniper, and lastly, Null Singer Disruptors.
I set them aside on the ground and picked up the Storm Chain Guns, which would enhance Victory’s lee and mid-range capabilities, and fused them to both sides of his torso.
The Heartbreaker Launcher was fused onto his back, allowing him to deal with several opponents at once.
The Silencer Arc-9 Sniper, enabling long-range precision attacks, was fused to his head.
The Null Singer Disruptors were fused onto all four of his upper thighs.
The entire process took an hour and fifty minutes.
"You’ll get used to it after a while."
I gently patted his face.
Victory nodded in understanding.
[ Fusion Compatibility: 10% ]
[ Fusion Compatibility: 100% ]
This was the fastest I had ever increased the fusion compatibility of one of my cybernetic beasts.
Perfect!
With these upgrades, I was confident that Victory could handle any situation he found himself in, whether lee, mid, or long-range assaults. Combined with his initial enhancents, he was now a force to be reckoned with.
But there was still one weakness I possessed.
An attack from the skies.
The only thing that would make feel more secure would be either acquiring a flying beast or an upgrade that enabled my forces to fly like Felix.
Unfortunately, there were no such beasts in the First-Year Magical Swordsman Departnt dungeon, because such opponents would easily overwhelm the students.
What remained were ordinary flying beasts who were unable to form beast cores.
