It was turning out to be so much more than I had expected.

Ivory nodded and turned to Fredric. "As our Path instructor, I hope you can supervise the duel to enforce the rules."

Fredric gave a firm nod.

"Of course, I will do my best to ensure that nothing goes wrong and punish whoever falls to keep the end of their agreent."

He turned to and asked, "Is that okay with you, Ezekiel?"

Fredric’s stern voice snapped out of my thoughts.

I nodded, "Yes, but I would appreciate it if there were one more instructor around."

I observed they all frowned subtly.

"What do you an by that, Ezekiel? Are you trying to say that I will be partial in my decisions against my own students," Fredric said, his tone cold and sharp.

Yes, I was. But I didn’t say it out loud.

I shook my head.

"No. In order to ensure that we both understand the severity of breaking the agreent, another instructor should be present."

"Tsk!! He really thinks that he stands a chance of winning."

"It’s the Worst One we are talking about. Despite being a descendant of the Zahara Clan, he has no talent for the Beastmaster Path, and his potential for the Magical Swordsman Path is even worse than that of a commoner."

"Unlike Ivory, who is the Zahara Clan’s scholarship recipient and possesses an amazing talent for the Magical Swordsman Path. I’m certain that if the Zahara Clan were to learn about this, they would punish him to wash off the stain from their clan’s history and grant Ivory her well-deserved justice!"

"Regardless of whether the Zahara Clan choose to intervene or not, He deserves whatever punishnt cos his way."

The boys muttered to one another.

Fredric glared at them.

They hurriedly sealed their lips in fear.

"If that’s the case, then I will allow it. But I must inform you that I will be unable to keep this matter from spreading if we invite another instructor to supervise the duel," Fredric said.

He narrowed his eyes at and asked, "Despite this, are you still certain that you want to get another instructor?"

"Yes," I nodded.

I was certain.

Even if I didn’t accept and choose to allow him to supervise the battle alone, there was still a chance that the matter would spread across the academy if their mission was to damage my reputation to an irreparable degree.

I wanted to ensure that there was a foreign elent that would serve as a witness to the agreent.

The boys snorted and clicked their tongues against their cheeks mockingly.

Honestly, I couldn’t wait to smash their faces against the concrete ground.

For now, I will be starting with Ivory.

"Fine. I’ve done my best to advise you. Don’t bla if news about this event spreads across the academy even after you have won," Fredric responded.

"Do you have an instructor on your mind that I need to call?" he asked, his tone curious.

I shook my head, "No. I’m okay with any available instructor."

As a first-year student of the Magical Swordsman path, I was unfamiliar with other instructors besides those of Magical Swordsman departnt.

I could select an instructor from other departnts, but they might be unavailable at the mont.

Rather than going through the stress of pondering on which instructor would be available, I gave him the option to bring one himself.

This would reduce the possibility of them thinking that I was close to other instructors in the academy.

At the sa ti, it could also reveal which other instructors, like Fredric, have been bought.

It would help avoid getting close to such instructors in the future.

"Okay, I handle this myself then. Ivory, do you have any issue with this?" Fredric asked, looking at Ivory.

Ivory shook her head. Her expression was filled with confidence.

"Okay. I will check which other instructor is available, explain the situation to them, and see if they are willing to supervise this duel," Fredric said, glancing at Ivory and .

"You, too, may leave to prepare yourself. The duel will be held at the training ground before day breaks."

Ivory nodded.

I nodded.

Ivory cast a glare my way before turning around and walking towards the door.

Her lackeys glanced at with burning hatred in their eyes as they followed behind her like flies chasing after spoiled milk.

I didn’t know which slled worse, the spoiled milk or their degeneracy.

"Hold on, I want to speak with you."

Just as I was about to turn and leave, Fredric called out to .

I halted.

I turned to look at him, furrowing my brows inwardly.

His expression softened as he t my gaze.

Was he feeling guilty about bullying a student who had experienced childhood trauma, facing hate and disgust throughout his life, and wanted to apologize?

Or perhaps he was not bought out but was an unwilling participant in the grand sche and wanted to give so advice.

"Ezekiel... You are my student, and I am your instructor, so it is my job to ensure that my students can confide in with their secrets," Fredric said, his voice soft and calm.

He walked forward, halted before , and placed his right hand on my shoulder.

"Now that we are alone, I want you to be honest with . Did you attempt to assault Ivory?" He asked. "If you co clean about this, I promise to do everything in my power to swiftly resolve this issue, and you can walk away with a lighter sentence."

It was just like a gentle parent looking after his son.

His acting skills were superb.

Sigh! I should have known that two-faced individuals don’t shade their hides easily.

I shook my head.

"I didn’t assault Ivory. I can never admit to a cri I didn’t commit."

My expression was composed.

"I hope that you can investigate this matter thoroughly so you can verify that I am telling the truth. I am confident that my innocence will be proven."
