Chapter 1113: Chapter 861: One Slash Cuts Life and Death

“Where did it go?” Wei Shiyue looked down at the dark mountain below. After Elride retreated, the entire mountain fell silent.

“The entrance to the Afterlife World!” Chryses said without hesitation, “Also known as the Tunnel of the Underworld, only by passing through there can we join the ranks of the dead and find the Netherworld Giant God.”

“Where is it?” Wei Shiyue pressed on, seeming very interested in the Afterlife World.

“I don’t know, its entrance is ever-changing, to be honest, it might take several months to find it,” Chryses replied calmly.

Several months! Do we have that much ti? In those months, cold waves will be sweeping over the world, mothers giving birth to empty babies, and the whole human civilization would be in chaos, torn apart. Farosa thought silently.

“…How much do you know about that place?” Farosa asked.

“It’s hidden sowhere on Mount Kuro. When you get close, you’ll feel a bright light, you’ll feel a vast garden behind you, with trees, fountains, fragrant air, and sunny weather…” Chryses described vividly.

“Doesn’t that sound nice?” Yao Guang said excitedly.

“The best part is yet to co. At the entrance of the Tunnel of the Underworld, you will hear pleasant singing, so birdn beckoning you in. When you see them, you’ll feel warm, joyful, and peaceful, as if you’ve arrived at your destination. Then, once you enter, you’re plunged into the dark, pitch-black Afterlife World, greeted only by wailing vengeful spirits and despairing, miserable ghosts. You’ll join the darkest, most disturbing death cycle in the world,” Chryses said sinisterly.

“…Is that the kind of place we have to go to? I dare not enter; I still want to live,” Yao Guang thought.

She still had a lovely sister and the generous benefits provided by the Corporate Alliance, and the world of death didn’t seem fun at all.

“In ancient tis, The First Empress Talvina attempted to conquer the Afterlife World. She waged a protracted war with Pomorty, desiring to extricate herself from life and death and not be part of the cycle. She struggled to breakthrough, entered the Afterlife World, but was instantly slaughtered by Pomorty, turning her into bones. Now, when you enter the Afterlife World, you might even see the figure of Talvina refusing reincarnation,” Chryses continued.

“Throughout history, people have sought to conquer death,” Farosa mused.

She didn’t want to die either, but Pomorty’s power seed terrifying. How could one possibly defeat death itself?

“Three thousand years ago, a Near East Prince nad Ravi was very interested in the Afterlife World. He wanted to see it for himself, to enter the Tunnel of the Underworld. I warned him there was no return from the Afterlife World. But he was also drawn in by the illusion of the Tunnel of the Underworld, fell into it, and could never return,” Chryses said.

“If there’s no return from the Afterlife World, how can we ensure our retreat?” Farosa asked with a frown.

“There’s no guarantee. Once you enter the Afterlife World, the Tunnel of the Underworld will close, trapping you there. It’s a one-way entrance. Not even a fortune in gold can buy a ticket back, and Pomorty is almost unbeatable in his Nether Land,” Chryses warned.

Farosa caressed her Godslayer Weapon.

Unbeatable? Perhaps not. Upon closer thought, the blade of this sword was crafted from Pomorty’s own bones. The only thing that can conquer death is death itself.

“…If it’s such a terrifying place, I won’t enter the Tunnel of the Underworld,” Yao Guang said.

“Just determining the entrance to the Afterlife World will take several months. Don’t overthink it,” Wei Shiyue pondered heavily.

“Let’s first find those survivors of the Albruck!” Easter said.

“…Do you want to enter the Afterlife World? Aren’t you afraid of the one-way Tunnel of the Underworld?” Farosa turned to scrutinize Easter.

“I’m really afraid of entering the Afterlife World, but when I think of Farosa being there, I’m not afraid at all!” Easter looked up and smiled at Farosa.

Farosa clenched her fists, wanting to punch Easter awake. But the Cyber Specter seed intent on protecting Easter, and Easter was happy to stand behind the Cyber Specter, avoiding Farosa’s sudden annoyance.

She turned and sighed, going to look for the survivors.

Yao Guang rembered where the space mothership crash-landed and led the group there. Easter was most active in the rescue efforts, seemingly born with an endless sense of responsibility and compassion, trying to save all the people in danger.

“Look—” Yao Guang flew over the wreckage of the Albruck Sky-Carrier.

The expensive space mothership now lay shattered on the ground, its gigantic wreckage scattered like the dismbered corpse of a tal Beast, burning with flas, its tal structures all severely distorted.

Many people huddled against the enormous tallic debris, shivering, moving to the smoky fires to keep warm, relying on the smoldering materials of the ship to maintain body temperature, yet many had already died from frostbite.

“Co on! You’re safe now!” Easter ca down to them, sending out a distress signal.

“Ahh!”

“It’s Easter!”

“We’re saved!” Hundreds of survivors recognized Easter. She was passionate about public welfare and aiding others. Seeing Empress Easter personally co gave their morale a big boost.

“You’re still alive, don’t worry, everything will get better!” Easter comforted them.

“There are no supplies, no dicine, they’re all going to die,” Wei Shiyue observed the situation in the snow.

Easter had co, but she hadn’t brought enough supplies. Her arrival only provided the accident survivors with so ntal support, but people can’t survive on just comfort and ntal exemplars.

Easter also knew this situation, looking around sorrowfully, wondering how many bodies were still buried under the snow.

The people looked at her tremblingly. Although exhausted, cold, and panic-stricken, seeing Easter present seed to ease their nerves a bit.

“What does this an?” Farosa flew down beside Easter, “You can’t do anything.”

“The aid will be here in ten minutes, bringing everyone to a warm, safe place. It’s the only thing I can do to help them.” Easter said softly.

Farosa sneered.

Her eyes swept over people’s faces, all looking to the warm Easter, having little interest in the stern Farosa.

“——Watch carefully! This is what true rescue looks like!” Farosa opened her right hand and clenched it forcefully.

In an instant, the whole world flashed red, as if subrged in amniotic blood.

The Great Recovery Law!

When people’s vision cleared, they were utterly dumbfounded.

“Look, look, look—”

“What’s going on…”

“Actually…”

“The Albruck…” They nearly tripped or collapsed in the snow.

The entire damaged space mothership was instantly fully restored!

The massive warship, over a kiloter long, lay shattered on the ground earlier, continuously burning with billowing black smoke, yet now was completely restored, intact and unscathed!

The precious space mothership recovered from a wrecked state, resembling a steel beast crouched in the snow about to charge forward—what great power could accomplish such a feat?

The surviving crew of the Albruck were ecstatic, rushing towards the warship itself, diving through its ergency entry to reboot the spaceship’s power system.

Their feelings were beyond just shock; they were fully worshiping Farosa’s magnificent magic power.

“——Everything is restored!”

“How was it done?”

“Why, is it an illusion? Is it fake?”

“The engine is good! Everything is restored! What’s going on—”

“Even food and supplies are restored!” They dashed through the cabin to the main control room, regaining control of the Albruck, its electricity and reactor, ecstatic and weeping with joy.

The entire space mothership humd as it preheated, lting the surrounding snow, slowly lifting itself into the sky with a thunderous roar!

Revive! Live!

“This is what true rescue looks like! This is the true source of power,” Farosa arrogantly said.

“No wonder you’re the Ancient Witch—now I can finally face everyone.” Yao Guang was ant to protect the Albruck from falling but failed in an attack, now seeing it restored, she felt imnse gratitude to Farosa and was extrely excited. In fact, she was quite surprised; she had long heard of Farosa’s super restoration ability but never imagined it was this powerful! Rebuilding a warship that cost billions in an instant! It’s simply incredible!

She nodded with satisfaction; having witches like Farosa and Easter is indeed impressive, both proud faces among the witches.

Easter watched, dazzled. This was sothing she could never imagine let alone achieve; the super Law of Recovery, repairing all damage, compensating for all regret—Farosa—Farosa! Amazing! Doing good deeds, Farosa, love! Love!

“This is far more useful than any of your comfort, love, and righteousness,” Farosa turned her head to look at Easter, her heart suddenly skipping a beat as Easter stared intently at her, extrely interested.

“Yes! Yes, Farosa.” Easter turned to Farosa, her eyes gleaming brightly, “This is like what I thought; you have true great love, you’re truly the witch who can love everyone, protect everyone, save everyone.”

Farosa didn’t like it at all; she was clearly a Godslayer, yet she wanted to ruthlessly refute Easter, but heard the echoes from the surrounding mountains.

The sound of the Albruck rebooting was so loud that it triggered avalanches around, and a massive tide of Frost Giants surged forth, forming a vast wave, fiercely attacking the Albruck.

“Roar!”

“Howl!”

The earth trembled constantly, Frost Giants brandishing their axes and war hamrs, clad in bizarre fur outfits, or simply displaying their strong muscles and ice-blue hair, their faces fierce.

They were all part of Elride’s powerful kin, a terrifying race of giants since ancient tis.

Hundreds of giants charged relentlessly!

“Shut up!” Farosa swung the Godslayer Weapon sharply.

A gigantic sword aura instantly sliced into the Frost Giant’s ranks, cutting through the snow, splitting mountains, and shattering monsters! Its power was so imnse that the Frost Giants were swept, crushed, and disappeared, leaving a vertical scar across Mount Kuro a kiloter long!

After a huge tremor, the mountainside slope only showed an appalling wound, at least several hundred ters wide, like the whole mountain was split in half.

None of the Frost Giants were spared, either shattered by the sword blade of the Godslayer Weapon or plunged into the abyss unknown of life or death.

One strike!

“…” Everyone present was stunned, unable to put into words their feelings.

Farosa suddenly noticed a surge of light rising within the massive chasm she carved, accompanied by an unford singing sound, as if Mount Kuro had been blasted apart.

Until finally, they ceased pretending, as endless black mist of death erged from the crack, the Birds of Death flew out, holding scythes and crowing.

“What is that?” Farosa pointed at the crack.

“…No need to find the Tunnel of the Underworld,” Chryses said, “You’ve already cut open the entrance to the Afterlife World.”
