“I am Zhu Qianying, a female, twenty years old this year, and a graduate of Hospitality Managent at L University.”
After so silence, when Zhu Qianying showed no signs of continuing, Yan Shao gazed at her inquisitively and asked, “That’s all?”
Zhu Qianying obediently nodded, “Yes, that’s all.”
Yan Shao took a deep look at her and did not probe further.
The two of them barely knew each other, had not had any interactions before the selection, and so they remained silent until they finished their food.
Yan Shao started eating his fruit, while Zhu Qianying bent down to clean up the leftover food on the table.
“Co over tomorrow night.”
Yan Shao didn’t state a specific location, but Zhu Qianying understood what he ant.
She straightened up and looked at him, “Aren’t you too busy?”
Yan Shao replied lightly, “I rescheduled.”
Zhu Qianying didn’t know if the “rescheduling” he referred to was socializing or sothing else. Anyway, since he asked her to go, she would go.
“At what ti?”
“Six o’clock.”
Zhu Qianying nodded, “What do Mr. and Mrs. Yan like?”
She was casual with Yan Shao, but she always showed reverence towards the elders.
“No need, they have received your present, and they liked it very much!”
Zhu Qianying didn’t ask further. After tidying up the food boxes on the table, she took out two unopened boxes and pushed them in front of Yan Shao.
“This is your afternoon tea snack. If you don’t mind, you can have them as your night snack.”
Yan Shao weighed the box in his hand, “This much?”
“Yes, I didn’t know what they would like, so I prepared a bit more. If they don’t like it, you could distribute it among the staff. I should get going now.”
After finishing her sentence, Zhu Qianying rose and left as she always did: promptly and decisively.
In Yan Shao’s mind, besides his bizarre mother, most won are clingy and hesitant…

Zhu Qianying exited the elevator and passed by the front desk. Seeing the won at the desk simultaneously salute her, she politely nodded back.

“What do you an he never had one? Don’t you know? I heard he once had a rich young lady who never needed an appointnt to see him.”
Zhu Qianying couldn’t hear the quiet talks and judgnts made by the front desk ladies.
Even if she did hear, she wouldn’t mind. She has heard too much cold talk over the years; these idle remarks have zero impact on her.
The front desk ladies continued to gossip and stared as Zhu Qianying quickly walked out of the door and got into a taxi.
“See, I told you she isn’t his girlfriend. She doesn’t even have a car…”
“So what if she takes a taxi? It doesn’t an she doesn’t have a car, right? Besides, who made the rule that Yan Shao’s girlfriend must have a car?”
“Isn’t it obvious? In my view, she’s just another poor girl trying to climb up the social ladder…”
If the last sentence were heard by Zhu Qianying, she would probably just laugh it off.
Because in her view, she is indeed a poor girl even though she was born in a rich family.
Zhu Qianying asked the taxi to stop outside the Zhu’s mansion gate before she got off. Zhu Zhizhou’s slightly plump figure appeared out of nowhere.
“Ying’er, you’re finally back!”
“Dad!” Zhu Qianying responded to Zhu Zhizhou’s enthusiasm with only a lukewarm call.
“As soon as I heard you were back, I rushed ho imdiately. Where have you been?”
Zhu Zhizhou didn’t ntion how he rushed ho excitedly and then found out Zhu Qianying had gone out again. He was so angry that he imdiately scolded the butler and servant.
The butler and servant were puzzled since they were scolded. After all, in their mories, neither the Master nor the Lady ever bothered to ask for the whereabouts of the fifth Miss (Zhu Qianying) and the sixth Miss (Xiao Yu). Over ti, the butler and servants had completely ignored the two sisters.
The sisters were free to co and go in the Zhu family. If they wanted to leave, no one would stop them. If they wanted to return, no one would care.
But they didn’t know that their Master, Zhu Zhizhou, had been on pins and needles for the past half month. He was relieved when Zhu Qianying finally returned, but she disappeared as quickly as she ca. He had every reason to scold them.
“I just went out for a bit…” Zhu Qianying really didn’t like communicating with him.
The daughter’s indifferent behavior didn’t bother Zhu Zhizhou. “Why are you taking a taxi again? Didn’t your aunty give you money to buy a car the other day?”
Zhu Qianying hadn’t forgotten her excuse for the money. “Yan Shao is busy; he said he would accompany
to see cars in a couple of days.”
Sure enough, Yan Shao was an all-powerful excuse. As long as his na was ntioned, Zhu Zhizhou would not dare object.
“I see. But you don’t have to take a taxi, right? Doesn’t our house have spare cars and drivers?”
Zhu Qianying snorted, “Dad, can I order the drivers around?”
Aren’t their cousins, whether going to school or going out, always driven around by dedicated chauffeurs?
Only she and Xiao Yu took the school bus in elentary and middle school and the public bus in high school.
“Characterless! Who dares to behave in such a way? Tell , Ying’er. It seems this house indeed needs a thorough rectification.”
Zhu Qianying just smiled without responding.
If she really started saying, she would say that everyone in the house needs to be rectified.

In the living room, Zhu Shaofen, carrying her tea, watched Zhu Zhizhou gleefully.
“Well, how does it feel to get the cold shoulder after giving your all?”
Zhu Zhizhou’s face darkened, and he glared at her ferociously, “Shut up, do you want to make things even more chaotic?”
