I cast [Magic Shield] on myself. It shatters the mont her spell touches it, but it absorbs most of the damage.When the Death Ray hits , it barely takes a small portion of my HP.
She tries to continue the attack with her [Scythe of Curse] towards my neck, the sa she used against Aurelia.
"[Tornado]" I say as I cast the spell of the sa na.
The tornado I cast catches her and with the centrifugal force it throws her towards the wall at the end.
I advance, casting [Firebolt] against her several tis.
"Agh! Fuck!" She screams in agony as I continue casting against her, intending to keep her pinned with my spells.
I am hurting. My HP goes lower with each overcast I do. My MP is in zero.
"Amber, stop!" I hear Karina scream.
"Amber! I am running out of Magic!" Lisa says, casting her [Light heal] over just to keep alive.
I don’t care. I need to kill her.
She is a problem.
I stand in front of her, who is now injured and battered from my onslaught. Kaira, the beauty, now has all her clothes cut and burned from my spells, several injuries in her body, and several burn marks appeared after I blasted her with fire spells.
"Y-you are crazy..." she says.
I put my hand in her face, she recoils, eyes wide.
I cast [Inferno].
[You don’t know that spell]
I have not recharged the spell.

"[INFERNO] [INFERNO]!" I scream.
Nothing happens.
The spell is not casted.
Kaira is paralyzed, looking at stunned as I stood there.
I am crying, my body is hurting.
My HP got lowered to 20% just from my overcasting. Lisa ran out of MP to heal it seems.
"Shit..." I say.
There is a mont of silence.
"[T-teleport]!" Kaira casts.
In a flash, she disappears.
The whole jail falls in silence when she is gone.
"Amber, give your healing wand!" Karina says.
I don’t answer.
"Snap out of it! We need to heal Aurelia!" She screams at .
That is when soone grabs my shoulder and...
SLAP!
I felt a strong sting in my left cheek, my face jerks in reaction to the right before I register the pain as I got hit.
"Amber! React! I need your wand!" Lisa, who is now holding my arms, yells at with squinted eyes. "Are you listening?! Aurelia is in critical condition and I ran out of MP!"

I nod and pull out the healing wand. Lisa takes it and rushes towards Aurelia.
Shit. I... I don’t know what happened. I just felt anger and dread.
I just noticed what I just did, how I wailed on Kaira. Every fiber in my being is hurting like every muscle is screaming in pain and each bone is about to snap.
The wand mostly works to help with the most superficial injuries. She still needs to recover from the pain and exertion from getting damaged that hard.

I try to use the Link System to take us out, but it doesn’t work. Surprised, I take out a Return Scroll when Ash puts his hand on my shoulder.
"If it was that easy I would have told you to use it."
"You did nothing." I point out.
"Hmph. That is a fight that shouldn’t have happened."
Okay, I am also pissed off at him.
"Wow! Does he believe in himself as so form of master? He can fight!" Karina says.
Although with a bit of difficulty, we manage to take both Aurelia and Ace out of the Jail through the way we went in. No one else ca in looking for us, no soldiers, the whole place fell into a deafening silence as we make our way out.
Whatever they have inside of the Jail, it didn’t allow to teleport to my base until we were outside. Maybe they had a spell that stopped that type of magic to work while allowing so people. Seeing that Oswald is siding with the Eye, it makes sense that Kiara was capable of teleporting away.
I should have killed her at that mont, why did I decide to go for [Inferno]? I was not thinking.
We slowly make our way back through the crawling space.
"Now, try it." Ash says.
I summon the System, use the Link to the base and... we are gone. The darkness of the sewers transforms into the light of the sun in the Nothing.
I might as well wish it was dark and have a room to go sulk for a mont alone. But I need to make sure Aurelia is fine. She is still unconscious, even after she got a bit of healing from the wand. Her mind and body still needs to recover from the stress and tiredness from the experience.
Is the sa thing that happened to yesterday, where I felt every need to relax. I left the rest for Aurelia and Lisa while they checked on the town.
When we enter the house, I am with my head low.
"Hm? You are back?" Leiva asks from the chair, when she notices my current state. "Sothing happened... ah!"
She sees the old man, who is carrying Jace and Aurelia inside. They both stare at each other for a few seconds before Ash moves forward to the beds and leaves them each on one.
"We don’t have enough beds in here!" Karina comnts.
I don’t answer, I am just looking at Aurelia.
"Hey! I am complaining!" Karina follows.
I take one of the beds and sit on it to continue looking at Aurelia.
"Amber..." Karina says again.
"She is going to be fine..." Lisa says. I feel her hand on my shoulder. I look at it before lifting my gaze to her face. "S-sorry for slapping you earlier... I was talking to you for a good few monts and you were not reacting and I needed to heal Aurelia."
"N-no, is fine... I was out of it."
I sigh, and then place my hand between my hands.
I did believe I lost Aurelia today for a mont, while my mories of Kathrina start to run again through my mind.
