The deities of the trifecta gave birth to several other deities. One of them is Sul, Goddess of Harvest and Sowing, Ellen’s first daughter. Normally represented as a young woman with clothes made from different types of crops. The types depend on where she is being worshipped.
Gardeners also worship her usually, even when they don’t necessarily see farms. They use similar techniques to make the most beautiful plants to grow, so believed to have been given by her.
She is best friends with her younger brother, Elion, the Warm Sun and Light of Tomorrow, and has animosity against Vermidia, the goddess of Vermin, Worms and Flys, daughter of Demisaus.
The 3 deities of the trifecta accept each other and love all their sons and daughters, but these did not co out as righteous as their parents.
"I am such a nerd..." I comnt as I rember all that I have read about the world of this ga. I spent too much ti just checking the wiki and ga files to know what was the deepest end of it.
"What did you say?" Aurelia asks.
"You are... maybe I can trivia you with all of the knowledge of this world." Karina says.
"Heh... don’t test . Those are fighting words"
The competitive side of that also loves this world is coming out because of Karina’s challenge. I know too much about this world.
Well, at least, enough to understand the real part of it.
When we enter the temple, we find ourselves with a similar temple to theone in Lakemar, but instead of the statue of the three deities of the trifecta, there is a single statue of Sul, tall and sculpted from white marble, painted with vivid colors. The plants that make her outfit are corn, wheat and hay.
There is a smaller altar for followers of other deities in case they need to pray for theirs and cannot reach the temple for them. It is well taken care of.
A priest appears from the door that gives to the inner chambers and gets closer when he notices us.
"Welco, my childs, to the house of Sul’s fields... I am Father Kaelen, how can I help you today?"
His voice was raspy,
"Good morning, father."
I hit Aurelia with my elbow.
"Ah, ’morning." She answers lazily.
Ti to put my detective skills to work! If I have any... I do rember enjoying mystery novels and gas... hazily I do, but I know I played so. I know I beat so of those gas, hopefully not with a guide or choosing evidence at random and then reloading.
Maybe this was not a good idea.
I just put m y most serious expressions and try to act like a professional with standards.
"My na is Amber, we ca here to ask you about the bag of chickens... the Mayor said you knew sothing."
"Ah, that... quite puzzling. I have been researching any rituals that involve sacrificing animals in that way, but I have found nothing so far." He puts his hand on his chin, eyes closed. "One of the nas was a nun here. The poor girl..."
"Huh? What happened to her?" Aurelia asks.
"The poor girl was found dead a few days ago. Mauled and left to bleed in the alleyway she was found, and from what I heard, the sa happened to everyone that has been found."
He pauses for a second and closes his eyes, takes a long breath.
That reminds ... from ti to ti, a beast appears in so cities and starts to kill citizens in the ga and you need to find who it is, accuse them and then you save the town. I almost never took part in those ga events because they took too much ti and you have no way to make sure your choice was correct, so you end up with innocent people executed and the murders continue.
Maybe that is what is happening? If she got mauled... but I don’t rember the bags of chickens happening during such an event.
"May her soul rest..." His eyes open again. "The only two nas on that bag that are alive are a holess man and the Mayor."
A holess man? The Mayor I could see for political reasons, elections are around the corner, but a holess man? What did he do?
"And everyone was mauled like the priest?" I decide to ask.
The man shakes his head. That is a no.
"They all have been killed in different accidents. I heard another bag was found before this one, and the people died in different ways... whatever is happening here, must be the work of a demon or a curse falling into this town!"
To think I saw the person last night. I could have attempted a capture if I knew they were doing this sort of stuff.
"Father!" I hear a voice coming from behind us.
When I turn around, I see the familiar face of Lisa, carrying a heavy book in her arms.
"Ah! Sister Lisa, have you found anything?" He asks and his attention moves towards her.
"Yes... maybe. I found that it speaks about rituals and curses." That is when she notices . "Amber! You re here!"
"Yeah, we got a request about the chickens last night." I answer.
"Then I am in good ti. I think I found sothing that might help us..."
"Is that what you’ve been doing since yesterday?" Odd... we didn’t know about the chicken bags until late last night.
"No..." She blushes a bit. "I was looking through the scriptures about your curse..."
"Ah..."
"Oh!" The Father looks at . "Then you are the poor friend that got caught on a rare curse!"
I just nod.
"Hmmm..." He Kaelen looks at , more intently this ti. "I might know a few things about curses... but I never heard one like yours."
"I have never heard about one like this one, either."
And I know enough about them. Curses on the player are rare, but they usually have a way to get rid of them.
"Normally, they are made by demons... maybe you found yourself with one and didn’t know. A very powerful demon."
A small smile forms on my face, not because I enjoy the idea, but because it is not good.
What kind of demon can do such a curse that forces to be low level for the rest of my life?
