Mada Sunny Shu didn’t shy away from interrogating Ronan’s Lycan and Vivian about their prolonged asurents session; however, the Lycan Alpha, as nonchalant as he was when it involved explaining himself to others, dismissed the atelier owner’s questions.
Ronan answered to no one.
Mada Sunny Shu’s gaze narrowed upon the daring smirk he shot her as he guided Vivian by the shoulders. He inford the lady of the she-wolf’s asurents and then proceeded on his way.
"She obviously knows what we did." Vivian mumbled under her breath, receiving suspicious and judgental stares from the other custors who browsed through the atelier.
"What does it matter if she does? Or if anyone else does?" Ronan’s Lycan snorted arrogantly, a smug grin on his expression. "No one can dare question a Lycan Alpha about what he does with his mate and where."
"You’re so shaless." Vivian’s ears reddened and she covered her face with both her hands.
"You’ll have to get used to it, little wolf," Ronan’s Lycan teased, laughing at her embarrassnt. "You see, I don’t particularly care about the opinions others have of . I am the apex predator in this food chain of shifters so naturally I do as I please."
To so extent, Vivian found that more admirable than arrogant. In so ways, she prayed she could train herself to gain such standing and confidence.
Unfortunately, she was but a re bottom feeder oga.
A damaged oga.
Sensing Vivian’s internal distress, Ronan’s Lycan boldly swept her up into his arms, forcing her to lock her legs around his waist as he carried her through the store.
"Ronan!" Vivian squealed with a gasp, taken by surprise. She buried her face in his shoulder to hide away from the onlookers’ stares.
The Lycan Alpha chuckled, enjoying the way she clung to him for dear life.
Vivian was always so easy to tease.
Once they reached the bathhouse, which was unoccupied, the Lycan Alpha latched the door behind them and set Vivian on her feet.
Fuming with sha, the she-wolf raised her fist to strike his chest but Ronan’s Lycan simply caught her hand before the blow and pressed a kiss to the back of her hand with a cheeky smile.
"You’re impossible..." Vivian imdiately accepted her defeat and sighed. "You may not care what others think but I do feel embarrassed, you know."
"There’s nothing to be embarrassed about when you’re with , little wolf," Ronan’s Lycan reassured her. "Everyone can look as they wish. It’s not as if they could do anything to you."
The Lycan Alpha was right, however, Vivian wasn’t yet accustod to his blatant disregard for anyone or anything.
While she dwelled on the moral impressions of his behaviour, the Lycan Alpha took the liberty of stripping her once more. He made her sit on a wooden chair beside a large tub of steaming hot water that was already prepared.
By now, Vivian was already used to him handling her body and she was more shy than uncomfortable with him wiping down her body.
ticulously, the Lycan Alpha dipped a washcloth into the steaming water scented with herbal bath oils and gently scrubbed down Vivian’s body, leaving no inch unwashed and wiped.
When it ca to her intimate bottom half, Vivian grabbed his hand, insisting that she would do it herself. However, the Lycan Alpha’s scheming yet charming smile had her backing down and allowing him to proceed.
She covered her mouth with one hand, closing her eyes as he cleaned her carefully and gently down there.
Not even Dane had ever done sothing like this for her.
Ronan’s Lycan dried her off with a fresh towel; however, she noticed that the ambler glow soon faded and there was a stark change in his deanour.
It was Ronan himself again.
Anxiously, Vivian imdiately lowered her gaze and donned the shirt the Lycan Alpha gave her earlier.
Ronan shook his head to regain clarity upon returning and his cold expression suggested he wasn’t too keen and content with the exchange between himself and his beastly half.
He denoted the way Vivian maintained her distance from him. Although his Lycan half deliberately omitted so of his mories of when the beast was in control, the creature was wicked enough to leave the monts when Vivian expressed how she was more fond of it than she was of Ronan himself.
The man clenched his jaw in anger and approached Vivian. If he wasn’t so versed in self-control, he reckoned he would have grabbed her, but he maintained his cool.
"You don’t know what you’re getting yourself into, Vivian," Ronan warned, his voice icy and grave. "Do you actually believe you can trust the Lycan in ? Don’t be fooled by his sweet facade."
Vivian didn’t like his harsh tone but she simply pressed her lips together.
"But he’s a part of you," she countered, her voice small and soft. "He’s kind..."
"He is not a part of ," Ronan argued more sternly, speaking through clenched teeth. "You’re being deceived by him, Vivian."
Vivian couldn’t quite understand Ronan’s conflicting nature. The man was acting far too differently compared to before they left for their trip.
Before their trip, he was similar to his Lycan in so ways. He was sowhat more encouraging and mischievous in a charming way, but now he seed more cold and distant.
Was he finally having doubts about her? Was he finally exhausted dealing with her affairs?
"Then what do you expect to do when your Lycan is out?" Vivian found herself talking back to an Alpha for the first ti. Bold move for a frail oga. Too bold. "Am I just supposed to keep my distance or be away from him?"
"That’s not what I’m saying," Ronan said with an exasperated sigh, smoothing out the crease lines forming on his forehead. "I’m saying you shouldn’t be so trusting of him."
"Then maybe you should stop letting him out," Vivian bit back. She began to make her way past Ronan, but he grabbed her arm to stop her.
His arm snaked around her waist from behind, his hand gliding up her throat to tilt her head back.
"Do not test my patience, Vivian," Ronan remarked, his tone absolute. "I’m not as nice as you think I am and neither is my Lycan."
