When she pulled back and rose to her feet, she motioned her girls over, while mg eyes widened even more as I glanced around for a ans to escape again.

Should I make a run for the entrance? No one was standing there, it’s just that I wasn’t sure that would help or worsen my situation.

But it’s better to try than to do nothing.

With that in mind, as the princess began to ask her girls to drag out a large drum and fill it with water, once they were all looking away from , I got to my feet and raced to the entrance in which I arrived here from. I kept hoping that they won’t notice that I was running till I had fully left here and joined the rest of the slaves, because if im in the midst of the slaves and they try to forcefully take , should I put on a struggle, at least the slaves would be able to bla if I don’t show up anymore.

I successfully exited through the door, but I still didn’t relax. I kept running till I was back in the large hall, and I ran fast till I was in the middle of the slaves and that’s when I collapsed on the ground, breathing hard. Most of the slaves instantly noticed and all approached .

"What’s wrong?" It was belle and she lolled quite worried as she crouched beside . I was about to speak when I noticed the princess’ girls stalking in, right towards , their faces a mask of fury and at once, my heart fell into my stomach.

"The princess has asked us to fetch lilac!" The girls announced, fake smiles in their faces which I could see through. All the slaves around let out excited sounds as they wuickly made way for the girls, clearly thinking it was such an honor for to be sent for by her, but I knew better so I desperately shook my head and gripped Belle’s hand tightly before she could pull away as well.

"No, please. Don’t let them drag away. They’re gonna hurt . The princess wants to hurt , she’s not what you all think she is. She’s evil and cruel and she send for cause she wanna hurt !" I cried out desperately while my heart pounded away and my eyes kept darting around to the rest of the slaves who had shocked expressions on as they kept staring at .

"Are you sure of what you’re saying?" Belle asked with a frown on whine she kept staring at . I knew I was making no sense to her and the rest of the slaves gathered, but I was feeling so desperate right now and wished there’s a way to convince them.

"The Princess was kind enough to send for you cause she wanna give you a reward for working hard. She even prepared a reward for the rest of the slaves working here today. Is it a bad thing to prepare rewards for slaves? That’s even unheard of but our Princess is just too kind si she decided to do this, and yet you’re walking over her kind gesture!"

After that, the rest of the slaves intently moved away from , calling stupid and selfish. So of them even offered to go apologize to the princess right now cause if they lost their own rewards because of , I’ll hate myself after they’re done with .

Belle let out a sigh as she let go of my arm and rose to her feet. "I don’t know what you’re saying, lilac. But the princess is a kind woman. You should go apologize to her and accept your reward before she changes her mind."

As Belle said those words, my heart dropped into my stomach and my heart lurched tight into my throat, and one firm realization ca over : that I was utterly dood today.
