Zane put on the Drain Claw, he held his dagger in one hand and the claw in the other, then he pointed his dagger at the goblin.

The goblin rushed forward, every step cracked the floor. It leaped into the air and slashed down. Zane watched the sword covered in red aura and leaped out of the way at the right mont, escaping the attack.

Slash.

But when he looked at his leg, he saw that it had been cut off entirely. The pain shot through his entire body.

He bit into his lip, stopping himself from screaming.

’How? How did he manage to cut my leg off? I dodged it,’ Zane thought.

[Debuff state has been induced, all stats have been reduced by half for twenty seconds]

A debuff? This isn’t good, Zane thought. The goblin quickly attacked again, but Zane sunk into the shadows and popped out a few ters away.

He stood on one leg. His second leg was already growing out again, but he didn’t have the ti for it to grow fully as the goblin was already rushing his way.

The goblin slashed, and with one leg alone, he leaped high, dodging the attack, only to realize that his second leg had been cut off clean, blood spraying all around.

’Shit, again? How is this happening?’ Zane wondered.

Without missing a beat, he spun midair and kicked his cut leg, spraying blood on the face of the goblin and distracting it.

His body slamd into the ground.

[Debuff state has been induced, all stats have been reduced by half for twenty seconds]

"Another debuff? This is crazy," Zane said. He allowed himself to sink into the shadows and then ca out close to the throne. The goblin cleaned the blood and turned to look at him, eyes filled with fury.

"Sorry about that," Zane said. He pushed himself up on one leg; that leg had healed up, and the second had healed as well.

"My question is, how are you able to damage without touching ? Is this so sort of special technique?" Zane asked. His second leg finished growing back, and he was getting close to getting his full strength back.

The goblin seed to know this and lunged forward at top speed, but Zane simply sunk into the shadows and ca out behind him.

"Don’t rush so much, co on," Zane said, but the goblin spun around with a powerful slash. Zane kicked back and dodged the attack, but it still managed to slash through his guts, not too deep, but it poured out a lot of blood.

[Debuff state has been induced, all stats have been reduced by half for twenty seconds]

"Oh, co on, this isn’t fair," Zane complained.

The goblin general didn’t give Zane a single breath. It stomped forward, sword glowing with that oppressive dark red aura, swinging again in a vicious downward slash that cracked the ground like thin glass.

Zane vanished into the nearest shadow, reappearing at its flank and swiping at the gap between its armor plates. The dagger scraped the steel, sparks flying, but the goblin twisted with unnatural speed and lashed out with the hilt, smashing it into Zane’s ribs.

The impact made his chest cave for a split second before instantly knitting back together.

’Tch, it’s reading my movents faster now. I have to completely avoid all attacks or it’s going to cut sohow. I still don’t understand how those attacks have been reaching .’

He sank away again, moving between the shifting pools of darkness along the hall. The goblin’s aura burned hot, distorting the air like heat waves. It turned its head slowly, searching, its blade already dripping with that red, writhing energy.

Zane ca up from behind its knee again, this ti with the Drain Claw leading the strike. The curved black talons scraped along exposed flesh, just barely opening a line across its skin before Zane dove away.

A thin line of black blood sprayed in the air.

So of it splattered onto the Drain Claw.

The tal hissed, literally hissed, like hot iron plunged into water. The carved runes along the claw lit up in a deep, blood-red glow. A pulse shot up Zane’s arm, his entire body tightening as his vision sharpened to a razor’s edge.

[Stat boost acquired: All stats increased by 50%]

"Oh..." Zane grinned wide. "This changes everything."

The goblin didn’t understand what had just happened, but it felt the shift in the air. Zane moved, no, vanished, his speed now blurring to the point even the goblin’s glowing eyes struggled to follow.

In less than a heartbeat, he was above it, twisting midair, dagger and claw flashing down. The dagger went for the gap at the collarbone; the claw raked across the side of the helt, bending the tal inward. The goblin staggered, roaring, and swung upward.

This ti, Zane didn’t dodge. He let the sword co in close, then disappeared into the shadow of the blade itself, reappearing behind the goblin mid-swing. The stat boost made his movents feel almost weightless, like the world had slowed around him.

He struck again, this ti hard enough to pierce deep into the goblin’s thigh. Black blood poured freely.

The goblin’s aura flared brighter in response, but Zane was already moving. He dashed along the wall, rebounded off a pillar, and dropped from above with a brutal slash that tore into the joint of its shoulder.

The Drain Claw drank greedily from the spray of blood, its glow intensifying until Zane’s arm felt like it was thrumming with raw power.

[Stat boost extended]

The goblin tried to crush him under its boot, stomping with enough force to crater the stone, but Zane blurred away again, his afterimage still fading as he appeared on the opposite side of the hall.

"Too slow now," Zane taunted, his voice echoing unnaturally through the shadows.

The goblin roared, raising its sword high for another shockwave slam. Zane rushed forward into the swing, slipping under the arc and dragging the Drain Claw across the length of its leg as he passed. The cut went deep this ti, deep enough for the goblin to falter, its stance breaking.

Zane didn’t waste it. He appeared at its back, leaping up the length of its armor like a predator scaling prey. Dagger plunged into the gap under its helt, claw ripping into the side of its throat.

The goblin thrashed violently, smashing into pillars, scraping its own neck against the marble in an attempt to shake him off.

Each drop of blood that touched the claw sent another surge into him, his heart hamring so hard he thought it might explode.

The goblin, now bleeding heavily from multiple points, slamd its sword into the ground in pure desperation, sending a shockwave that forced Zane off. He hit the ground, rolled, and ca up in a crouch, eyes burning crimson.

"Still alive?" Zane smirked. "Good. I’m not done either."

The goblin charged again, slower than before but still deadly. Zane slipped into the shadows one last ti, this ti not erging behind it, but above it. He dropped like a blade from the ceiling, the claw leading.

The impact was brutal, the claw sank into the goblin’s chest plate, tearing through armor like paper. The dagger followed, punching deep into the flesh. Zane wrenched both weapons free in a single vicious motion, the spray of blood drenching him head to toe.

The goblin staggered... then dropped to one knee.

Its sword clattered to the ground.

Zane stepped back, chest heaving, Drain Claw glowing like a small crimson sun in the torchlight.

"...And that’s how you bleed out a monster," Zane said. He gripped his dagger loosely and walked toward the goblin.

"I guess this is the end," Zane spoke, but suddenly, the goblin grabbed his feet, and then grabbed its sword.

It swung at full force; Zane was held in place, the sword was definitely going to kill him.

"That’s enough," Zane spoke, his eyes glowing as he used Charm, freezing the goblin in place. The goblin let go of his leg.

Zane walked forward and then stomped on its head, shattering it in one go and killing the goblin. Its blood splattered in all directions, flowing slowly as the body slowly broke into tiny pieces of light.
