He and Grey walked into the bar. The sll of booze and wine hit him hard, but he was unable to beco drunk as a vampire; his body nullified the sll in an instant.
The bar was filled with noise, n cheering, drinking, so with ladies on their laps as they drank and tried to get into their sheets for the night.
Zane walked through, not paying attention to whatever was happening around him. Then he spotted Lucy and Ava seated at a table.
Their eyes locked, and Ava waved imdiately, signalling that they should co her way. Zane headed there; they sat at a round table with extra seats.
There were so drinks on the table, but it didn’t seem they had been consud at all.
"Master, welco back. You spent a lot of ti outside," Lucy said.
"Sorry, we were grinding in the dungeon. Maybe soti later I’ll take you," he said, then his gaze shifted to Ava. He didn’t hide his sour expression.
She looked at him and knew that sothing was wrong, so she leaned in. "Tell , what has you all twisted?" she said.
"Gluttony," Zane stated. She raised a brow, confused. "He is one of the seven deadly, and it’s also the power that inhabits my body," she replied.
"I know. You see, I didn’t understand why soone of your strength and your ability would leave the demons and decide to roam all around this realm.
I didn’t want to question it at first, but then sothing happened in the dungeon that made it all make sense. So tell the truth, and let’s not start digging unnecessarily," Zane said, placing both hands on the table and leaning in.
Their eyes locked. She leaned back slowly. "If you think that was sohow supposed to make understand what you are talking about, then you are sorely mistaken," Ava said, folding her arms.
"Fine, then tell about Gluttony’s plan to awaken a chaos demon beast by using the life force of humans," Zane said.
Her eyes widened when she heard that. She dropped her hands and looked at Zane. "How do you know about that?" she asked in a serious tone.
"Seems I touched sothing sensitive. Well, I don’t care, tell what you know about it and how you are a part of it," he barked at her.
She stared at him even more, and then broke into a smile. "A demon like has no need to follow the instruction of any demon.

Gluttony is the most erratic and crazy of all the seven; he is conniving and very manipulative — all for the sake of feeding his hunger. He doesn’t care about the damage caused; all he cares about is consuming.

So what he wants to do with the beast is not just consu a few thousand or hundreds, he is targeting millions, within the known parts of the realm and the unknown.

"I believe he ca to learn about the chosen long before others did, beings with the power to grow infinitely and rise to beco gods.

"So for that, he would commit mass genocide," Zane stated.
"In his book, it’s nothing but a small price to pay for his own growth," she replied. Then she looked at him.
"If the seven were also to find out that a vampire was now alive, it would cause another set of worry and panic different from what even the chosen have caused.
A vampire, the top race of the past, the ones that even the true gods despised — your race will cause a very unwanted shift in the flow of things," she said.
"I know. It’s only a matter of ti before enemies begin coming for . I have to get stronger before then and build my own army and force that can repel them.

He glanced at the booze on the table, grabbed it, and drank it in one go. The alcohol rushed down his throat, burning as it went down.
He dropped the cup on the table as he felt the slight intoxication wash away in only a few seconds. He looked at Ava.
"I’m sorry I didn’t trust you," he said.
"No, it’s fine. I understand your concern; I would have acted the sa. The issue here lies in the fact that they are getting more bold.
It should take at least a year of steady gathering for the beast to be awakened, but if they are now attacking more populated places and taking more humans, that ti could be cut by half," Ava said.
"That’s definitely not good, but since we know about it now, we can start getting ready ahead," Zane said. He leaned back into his chair and looked at Lucy, then Grey.
"If we are going to be able to get ready in ti for it, we have to do a few things, one, get stronger faster, create our own force sohow, and also gather as much information as possible about vampires.
There might be sothing that can help us, so we need to start looking. We also need wealth. The realm works on money, I’m sure Ava can agree," Zane said, and she nodded in return.
"So dungeon diving will beco normal. We will use that to grow our resources further from there, and also build so reasonable connections as we go along.
The realm is filled with billions of resources, and if we know the right person or people, that will help as well," Zane said.
He got up from his chair. "As for now, I’m heading to rest, so show the room."
"Can you even sleep at night?" Ava asked.
"Urhhhh, I forgot I can’t. I’m most active at night; I’m going out to see the city," Zane said, waving his hands and leaving.
He walked out the door and left the three there.
"Should we follow him?" Ava asked.
"Definitely," Lucy replied, getting up and imdiately heading for the door as well. Ava and Grey followed after her.
