Zane and Lucy looked at him. They saw his hand under the sun, and nothing was happening. They both froze for a mont before Zane rushed over to him and grabbed his hand, looking at it, but there was no damage at all.
"How... how is that possible?" Zane muttered. He imdiately pulled off his ring and pushed his hand under the sun.
Burn.
Imdiately, it felt like fire on paper. The place where the sunlight touched burned; the pain was crazy. Zane gritted his teeth and pulled his hand back imdiately. He looked at the burn, which was already healing up, and then he looked at Grey.
"This is what is supposed to happen," he said, showing the burn to Grey. Then, a few seconds later, the burn healed up completely.
Lucy walked close; she grabbed Grey’s hand. "How did it feel when you put your hand under?" she asked.
"Uhm, I just felt irritated by the sun, but nothing more. It didn’t hurt or have any other effect," Grey replied.
"I see," Lucy muttered.
"Do you know sothing, Lucy?" Zane asked.
"Yes. It seems I was wrong when I said Grey is a normal vampire. It seems he is, in fact, a very rare and unique type of vampire," Lucy said.
Hearing that, Zane beca eager to know what it was. He looked at Lucy, waiting for her to spill, and he wasn’t alone, as Grey also watched with eager eyes, trying to find out what exactly he was.
"Grey is a Daywalker. A special breed of vampires capable of defying the greatest enemy of vampires—the sun.
Their bodies work like the ring, absorbing the energy of the night, and during the day, it creates a thin layer of protection around them, sa as the ring.
I believe Daywalkers were the blueprint for the rings to be created. Daywalkers possess more talent than a normal vampire as well," she said.
"A Daywalker, huh?" Zane muttered. He imdiately opened the system. If Grey was his vampire, he would be able to see his details—unlike Lucy, whose own was blocked.

’He is a Daywalker. I didn’t check before, so I didn’t know. And now that I have, he also leveled up after the last fight—that’s pretty good.’
Zane looked up from the screen. "Lucy, how rare would you say a Daywalker is?" he asked.
"Out of a thousand vampires, you might find one Daywalker," she responded.
"Whoa, one in a thousand? That’s very rare," Zane said. He looked at Grey like so sort of treasure. Then he recalled one vital thing he was yet to ask about.
"Lucy, what are the bad sides of being a Daywalker? I’m sure sothing as good as walking under the sun must have its drawbacks," he asked.
"Daywalkers have an imnse hunger. The use of their ability to daywalk eats all their energy, so they can easily go into a bloodlust state if they don’t find blood fast," she explained.
"I see. It’s not as bad as I thought it would be," Zane said. Now that they knew Grey could walk under the sun, it was ti to leave this city.
He walked to the door, glanced at the family that was there, then looked at Lucy. "Let’s make sure they can’t recall our interaction," he said. She nodded and walked to them, her eyes flashing red.
"You never saw any of us, understood?" she spoke. They nodded in response. She followed Zane out after that, leaving the family unhard.
But as soon as they left, the man on the ground opened his eyes. He had been awake for a while now and had heard everything they spoke about, but he tried his best to keep still and quiet the mont he heard the word vampire.
He knew them as the mythical creatures said to be cursed by the gods. But right from childhood, he believed it was nothing but a story used to scare kids and tell interesting lores.
But now, he knew that these creatures were a reality. He got on his feet and rushed to his family. They were fine, but they had no recollection of what had happened.
"When did I get down here?" his wife asked. She looked around and then walked back up like nothing had happened. His children also returned to their rooms to get so shut-eye.
’They erased the mories of my family. What sort of power is that? I have to tell the count about this,’ the man thought. He rushed out of his ho and ran toward the count’s manor.

Zane made his way through the streets of Yue City, headed for the gates, but there was no way he could have peace when the players had received an event to kill him.
He felt eyes pinned on him from different locations—people watching and trying to find the right mont to attack.
He understood their caution, as the ga gave no event that was easy to pass. And for those that had played the ga before, this was the first ti such an event had co to be. There was never an event that required them to kill soone like Zane.
So this was new for everyone, but the rewards were so nice that they couldn’t pass it by.
Zane waited for the first attack patiently. He knew soone would attack and break the current state. After minutes of following him without end, soone finally attacked.
There was a shine in the sky. Zane looked up and saw ten shining flying swords in the air, all targeted at them.
’Soone has gotten this sort of skill? In just a few days? Their bloodline is definitely top-grade,’ Zane thought.
The person fired all the swords at once. They tore through the air. Zane, Lucy, and Grey watched it co, and then at the last mont, they moved, completely evading them.
