"Immortal Transfer..."

Zhang Rongfang wanted to ask more, but suddenly realized that he had once again, without noticing, returned from his meditative state.

The voice of Xue Tong also broke down into the sounds of the wind, birds, and water.

He stood up, gazing at the distant figure, then instantly tapped his toes, swiftly crossing the stream.

A few moments later, he rushed to the vicinity of the figure.

It was only upon getting closer that he saw.

It wasn't a person at all.

Just a branch that had fallen down and combined with shrubs, forming a human-shaped shadow...

Poof!

Zhang Rongfang struck the branch with his palm, scattering it.

The figure also vanished abruptly.

'... No wonder! No wonder!!'

At this moment, he no longer doubted the existence of Xue Tong.

Recalling the content hinted by his intuition earlier, Zhang Rongfang finally gained some insight.

Why were the martial artists who worshiped gods able to achieve immortality, becoming overwhelmingly powerful, crushing ordinary martial artists, yet still seeking to expand their sects' territories?

Why were numerous religions engaging in various conflicts over their faiths' regions?

Everything started to connect.

"Senior, since I promised you, I will certainly fulfill it!"

He looked at the branches in front of him and vowed solemnly.

He didn't know why Xue Tong wanted to deal with the Wish Girl, but since she was his enemy, achieving two objectives at once was naturally better.

Yi Province, Thundering Oda Mountain.

On the boundless grassland, one side held snow-covered mountain tops, while the other had wild horses and buffalo leisurely strolling on the vast greenery.

"Hyah! Hyah!"

A completely jet-black warhorse galloped at full speed.

The rider on the horse tried to lean forward as much as possible, but his face remained pale, with foam at the corners of his mouth.

The black horse charged forward, causing the surrounding wild buffalo and horses to rapidly scatter.

Soon, a white watchtower gradually emerged ahead on the grassland.

Two archers stood at the top of the tower, wearing gray robes with fur collars, quivers strapped on their backs, each white-feathered arrow meticulously aligned within.

Seeing the black horse approaching from afar, one of the archers squinted and gazed into the distance.

"It's an urgent military situation! Quickly!"

One of them hurriedly descended from the watchtower, proactively heading towards the black horse.

"Urgent military situation!! Make way!!" The horse rider mustered his remaining strength, shouting loudly.

The archer pushed open the barrier, then quickly released a signal flare.

Black and red fireworks shot into the sky, exploding.

The black horse galloped past the watchtower, rushing towards the innermost building clusters.

"If you don't look closely, you'd actually think this is a major military site under our Great Spirit's control."

The two archers sighed with relief, only to suddenly hear a deep voice coming distantly from the direction where the black horse had arrived.

They quickly prepared their bows and arrows, aiming in that direction.

However, despite their training, they still saw no sign of anyone.

"The Black Ten Sect is deeply rooted here, having operated for many years, and now attempts to quietly secede Yi Province, its offenses are unforgivable!" said a cold female voice.

"Do you believe this reason?" the previous male voice laughed.

"If they can't provide a reason to oppose, then it's the truth!" the female voice retorted coldly.

While the two archers were still puzzled,

two shadows suddenly flickered below the watchtower, appearing as if from thin air, descending steadily to the ground.

Behind them, they retracted black leather wings, revealing two tall figures clad in tight-fitting black leather suits.

The suits resembled wetsuits, likely designed to reduce air resistance during flight.

On their chests and backs were fist-sized Tai Chi symbols, indicating their Daoist origins.

Additionally, on their right shoulders, they wore a clear red Dao character embroidery.

This was a simple symbol established by Yue Dewen and Jin Yuyan after unifying the two sects.

"Enemy attack!!" The archers on the watchtower once again pulled out the emergency flare tube, but it was already too late.

With two soft whooshes, they tumbled down from the watchtower.

"The Twelve Sect Mansions, it's fitting for us to fire the first arrow." The man's black long hair was gently let down, a triangle-shaped metal dart glimmering in his hand.

The woman snorted coldly, taking an item from her waist and throwing it skyward.

A sharp sound shot towards the sky, spreading across the surroundings.

"The Black Ten Sect has committed rebellion, intending treason, colluding with chaotic forces, attempting to assassinate the Emperor! They must be eradicated!"

The woman's voice rang out loudly, echoing around.

Slowly, a rumbling sound started resounding from a distance.

The sound grew closer and heavier.

The whole grassland began to tremble.

The two turned back to look.

They saw the grassland covered with a vast cavalry of heavy iron riders, charging at full speed towards them.

The iron cavalry was endless, stretching beyond sight, like a black ocean.

Each knight, both man and horse, was clad in heavy black armor.

The front row of the black heavy cavalry consisted of lancers. Behind them were mounted archers wielding heavy crossbows and giant shields.

In the black sea, a black banner fluttered in the wind, bearing a large "Ran" character.

Beneath the banner, a black warhorse, much taller and sturdier than the rest, snorted impatiently, advancing at a slow pace.

A towering man, two and a half meters tall, sat astride the horse.

His entire body was armored, his eyes glinting red, and from his neck to his face, a pattern of bluish-green floral designs spread.

"Commander Ran, are you confident in dealing with the Divine Dao Altar of the Black Ten Sect in Yi Province?"

Beside him, a beautifully dressed woman in a revealing bright blue dress, her fair skin adorned with numerous blood-red patterns, held a white feather fan and smiled gently.

"Even Master Qian is here; the so-called Divine Dao Altar is nothing more than a few so-called Holy Envoys. What is there to fear?"

The man's voice was steady, neither fast nor slow, as he followed the main army protected by escort troops.

"Speaking of which, it's been many years since I fought alongside Commander Ran. I didn't expect to witness the grand scenes of besieging the Sensing Sect again in my lifetime," the woman sighed softly.

"It is inevitable," Commander Ran replied calmly. "Yue Shi had already planned everything, and we are merely going along with the grand scheme now."

"Indeed," the woman surnamed Qian nodded, suddenly lifting her gaze to look ahead.

"Here they come."

In the distance, the black army had collided head-on with a cavalry force clad entirely in gray and white.

The opposing force attempted to engage with quick, light archery skirmishes, but was caught off guard as the Black Banner Army dropped their heavy cavalry lances and charged wildly on horseback.

Their speeds quickly closed in, resulting in a thunderous clash.

Amidst the clash of black and white, the white cavalry toppled, as if white foam scattered by a black torrent.

Yet amidst the foam, a few resilient individuals persisted.

A dozen or so white knights leapt up, separating from their horses, their curved blades flashing brightly as they continued to topple black cavalry one by one.

The heavy armor fell like paper under their sharp, precious swords.

"Muenbada!!"

One of the white knights, a bearded man, shouted angrily as he raised his curved blade, looking towards the black banner.

A group of people immediately rushed to cover the bearded man, charging toward Commander Ran and the woman beside him.

"Commendable courage," Commander Ran remarked calmly. "But it's merely a Three Emptiness Gods challenge."

He slightly tilted his cheek.

Behind him, a three-meter-tall giant warrior, fully clad in black spiked heavy armor, held a meteor hammer the size of a face basin.

The heavy chain of the meteor hammer coiled around him, clanking as he walked forward.

The giant made no sound, simply bowing slightly towards Commander Ran in silent greeting, then strode forward to meet the charging bearded white knight.

They quickly closed in on each other.

From a distance, they exchanged a dozen or so blows.

No matter how the bearded man slashed at the giant, it was futile, as he could only breach the armor but not the skin beneath.

Boom!!

Suddenly, there was a muffled roar.

The meteor hammer struck the unsuspecting bearded warrior fiercely, lifting both him and two beside him before slamming them to the ground as a mass of mangled flesh.

Amidst the gore, silvery threads began to emerge, only to be suppressed by the giant's hand, absorbing everything furiously like a sponge.

"Let's go," Commander Ran urged his horse forward.

"Yue Shi was right," Master Qian smiled slightly as she followed.

"There are still way too many sects in this world."

November 19.

Wushan Prefecture.

Zhang Rongyu gently caressed the gray pigeon in her hand, carefully removing the leather scroll from its leg.

"Little bird, little bird, you'll have to work a bit harder now, making several more trips..."

Releasing the pigeon, Zhang Rongyu unfolded the leather scroll and read the writing on it, a hint of contemplation flashing in her eyes.

Carefully storing the leather away, she turned and left the garden, only to run into Suda Heqi, who had just returned from the government office.

"How is it?" Suda Heqi seemed to be aware of her receiving a message.

"Things are chaotic over there; the spies we've sent have only gathered common information so far.

However, the Great Dao Teaching and Snow Rainbow Pavilion have formed a powerful alliance. If the Five Kings manage to gain their support, it would be equivalent to having the backing of two divine generals.

In such times, the family wants you to return, but it's likely...."

Zhang Rongyu didn't continue.

"I understand," Suda Heqi nodded. "After being so resolute before, suddenly coming to persuade me without any ulterior motives is impossible. But for your sake, I still want to try my best."

"I don't need anything," Zhang Rongyu shook her head.

"Let's not talk about this anymore. Come, Rongfang just came back as well. Let's have a meal together. It's been a long time since our family has eaten together," Suda Heqi smiled.

Zhang Rongyu smiled softly upon hearing this.

"Alright, by the way, do you remember that severely injured old man I saved before?"

"Of course, why?" Suda Heqi replied, curious. "I recall you searching high and low for good medicine to treat his wounds at the time."

"Indeed, good deeds are rewarded. He is fine now, and his junior brother, upon finding out about this, just sent a message saying he wants to repay our kindness by serving as a guard in our residence," Zhang Rongyu replied.

"Oh? Is his junior brother very skilled?" In his high position now, Suda Heqi's perspective had expanded beyond the family and surrounding region.

"Rongfang and the Wood Tributor are here now; they can have a good look. If he's truly skilled, he could add considerable depth to our ranks," Zhang Rongyu smiled.

"True enough."

The two chatted as they made their way to the dining room.

Zhang Rongfang and Lu Meisha were already seated, waiting for them.

Seeing them enter, both rose to their feet.
