She slowly lowered her eyes and t directly with the green eyes of the cat in front of her. A small cat, or a kitten to be exact, was staying in sitting posture in front of her. It has black fur and green eyes, looking beautiful yet a bit eerie at the sa ti.
Though, this was far from enough to be able to scare Yu Shi Lan.
She had seen much more scarier things in her first life.

The black furred and green eyed cat looked at Yu Shi Lan speechlessly.

Yu Shi Lan’s brain crashed for a mont before she called out, "Xiao Mao?"

The cat, Xiao Mao, raised her paw and licked it with a distressed expression.
"No, how did you beco like this?" Yu Shi Lan looked at Xiao Mao in disbelief as she crouched down in front of the cat.
Xiao Mao is her magic beast that she had signed a contract with.
A magic beast was a companion for cultivator, but not many people were willing to keep one. The main reason is because it was troubleso to raise a magic beast and these magic beasts often ate special kind of food to grow.
