Cultivation towards immortality, starting from being a fisherman Chapter 97 - 89: Seeing the Tathagata, Why Not Kneel!3
Chapter 97: Chapter 89: Seeing the Tathagata, Why Not Kneel!_3
“Money can make a ghost push a millstone; it seems that this holds true in the mystical world as well. I’m just not sure what the currency is in this world,”
Master Yuanci, as the de facto head of the temple, instinctively flashed through many thoughts in his heart.
Yet, his face maintained a kind expression as he greeted and thanked the Ghost Envoy.
“Master Yuanci, your Great Compassion Temple is truly blessed this ti!”
The Ghost Envoy said with a stiff smile:
“The Honorable elders value serendipity greatly. Master, you have also passed the introspection test, proving that you possess wisdom roots.”
...
“Next, as long as you handle the tasks that have been passed down in an orderly fashion, it is only natural that the Honorable ones will once again graciously bestow Magic Artifacts and the succession of Cultivation Techniques.”
“I am here to congratulate the Master in advance!”
After exchanging pleasantries, the Ghost Envoy then led Master Yuanci back to the Immortal Boat, pointing to several rolls of silk and a wooden box the size of a briefcase on the deck:
“Please look, Master, these silks depict the detailed layout diagrams of the Big Array for slaying demons and expelling evil.”
“Also, this one is a prayer text for blessing and exorcising evil, which is a Spell that complents the Big Array.”
“Furthermore, this box contains Sealing Magic Artifacts that have sealed Evil Spirits, which you will need to position at key locations of the Array.”
Master Yuanci examined them, nodding and occasionally asking questions about things he found puzzling.
This ti, the Ghost Envoy demonstrated great patience, answering every inquiry distinctly.
This kind of response from the other party gave Master Yuanci reassurance, convincing him that his opportunity was mostly secure; otherwise, this ghost would not have changed so much!
Through the answers of the Ghost Envoy,
Master Yuanci gradually ca to understand.
The Floating Illusion Temple was a Holy Land, conjured by the combined efforts of mightful Honorable ones.
It was also a Forbidden Land!
Beneath the temple, a hundred thousand ters deep, lay suppressing thousands upon thousands of Evil Spirits from outside domains dating back thousands of years.
These Evil Spirits were almost undying, and even the Honorable ones found it difficult to eliminate them quickly, so they were first sealed to prevent them from causing chaos in the Mortal World.
However, the Evil Spirits were increasing, and after a millennium, there were quite a few that could not be worn down.
Out of necessity, periodically, whether every ten years or every century, invitations were sent out to peers to co forth and bolster the seals or to exert great effort to eradicate the more troubling and variable among them.
The Ghost Envoy subtly suggested that perhaps so lineages had lost their succession, partly due to the deterioration of the environnt in the Mortal World and partly due to accidents that occurred while eradicating the Evil Spirits.
Master Yuanci then thought of the late head monk and high monks of the Great Compassion Temple from three hundred years ago.
Even without evidence, he was inclined to believe that his ancestors had sacrificed themselves in the fight against demons and evil!
At the sa ti, Master Yuanci quietly breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that his responsibility was a harmless after-care duty.
The wooden box contained the remains of Evil Spirits, which resembled stone dust.
All he had to do was to make good use of his expertise, conduct the Magic eting, recite the scriptures, and dispel even the last bit of evil Qi from the remains of the Evil Spirits!
After gaining an approximate understanding of what he had to do,
Master Yuanci once again thanked the Ghost Envoy and, after being seen off with a bow and clasped hands,
suddenly beca dazzled.
When his vision cleared and he was able to see what was in front of him again,
Master Yuanci found himself astonishingly back in his bedroom where he had been ditating.
The scent of the incense still lingered in the air.
However, perhaps due to the contrast with the Holy Land,
Master Yuanci suddenly felt that the incense he favored was nothing out of the ordinary after all.
There is nothing quite like the fresh air one breathes in the Holy Land, which brings pleasure to body and soul, washing away all fatigue.
Master Yuan Ci looked at the wooden box and silk scrolls he was holding in his hands.
These tangible objects from that dreamlike place fortified his belief that everything was real.
Moreover, after closely examining the content of the Array Map on the silk again and experiencing the miraculous perception enhancent it provided.
A bold idea had indeed flashed through Master Yuan Ci’s mind.
He was about to hold a grand Magic eting, and then these series of mysterious events occurred…
However, he quickly shook his head and dismissed the thought from his mind.
That mystical and unfathomable Holy Land, the Immortal Boat that could soar through the Cloud Sea, the majestic Floating Illusion Temple that could interrogate one’s heart!
Would such grand existences covet a Magic eting he organized, just to sneak in a little sothing?
Ha!
Yuan Ci, oh Yuan Ci!
You’re really overestimating yourself!
It’s impossible, absolutely impossible!
Master Yuan Ci treated this as a Heart Demon, locked it away completely, and forgot it.
Then, Master Yuan Ci left his bedroom and imdiately began to summon his junior brothers and the heads of the planning departnts for a eting that night.
All arrangents must be changed!
Many positions also needed to be re-planned!
Budgets could increase, but the job had to be done well. If ti was short, they would reinforce and add manpower!
Master Yuan Ci demonstrated his usual swift and decisive style in this matter.
Although it increased the workload for everyone involved, it also gave them more confidence.
After so many successful Magic etings and the prestige accumulated from them, everyone believed that following Master Yuan Ci’s words would never be wrong, a kind of inertial thinking.
The attendees who were planning the event naturally wouldn’t object upon hearing that more funds would be available.
Fortunately, the Magic eting was already following certain Feng Shui knowledge.
It also had so alignnt with the logic of Formations.
With the use of modern tools and the Vajra Demon Suppression Array, which was simplified for the prevalence of ordinary people with a great effort of modification, it should be manageable.
After being busy for a day and a night, everything was finally ready just before the eting was to start.
Master Yuan Ci was still not at ease, often taking out the mystical Array Map to watch and ditate.
Afterward, he would go to the site to confirm, and then repeated the process, causing the monks to marvel in secret.
During this ti, Su Ping didn’t idle either… oh, that’s not right; it was the Spiritual Rat, White and Grey, who were also busy.
They had dug through the underground passages of the Magic eting site, embedding Spirit Stones and small Gathering Spirit Arrays at key locations to ensure that this most important Formation would be effective.
In particular, considering the long-term benefits for the main hall.
Su Ping even took out a set of exquisite Formation that he bought from the Cloud Mountain Workshop and placed it underground there, and had also pre-placed more than ten Spirit Stones to ensure a supply.
This was to allow for the continuation of collecting thoughts to wear down the Evil Spirit in the Sealing Magic Artifact after the Magic eting was over, and Master Yuan Ci opened the main hall for subsequent devotees and tourists to worship.
Su Ping was hoping that his experint would be successful and without any future troubles.
If it could be successful and deed safe after inspection, then he could start mass production and enter the stage of rapidly accumulating rit.
By then, with high monks having the hope of struggle, devotees feeling a sense of achievent by contributing to the fight against demons, and him being able to exchange for Divine Skills and various rare materials unavailable for purchase.
This would indeed be a win-win-win situation!
