Chapter 179: Chapter 136: Invitation
“It’s easier for an Interdiate Array Master to earn good deeds!” Having completed the inspection task, Li Shiming remarked.
Previously, when he was a Spirit Plant Tender, only several hundred good deeds could be earned in a season, which was considered a lot among the sect disciples.
But compared to an Interdiate Array Master, there was simply no comparison.
In just the inspection task he had completed, he and Yin Shilan had split the good deeds equally, each receiving five hundred.
Of course, this job was not sothing any cultivator could do. Only a few Interdiate Array Masters could take on such tasks.
Moreover, he and Yin Shilan both had Spiritual Thoughts, which allowed them to complete the task quickly. Normally, it would take two Interdiate Array Masters four to five days to complete this workload.
“What are you planning to exchange your good deeds for?” Yin Shilan’s clear eyes looked at Li Shiming with a light smile and asked.
“Of course I plan to exchange them for Foundation Establishnt Pills!” Li Shiming replied without intending to conceal it.
This was what most sect cultivators were doing as well, accumulating for the batch of Foundation Establishnt Pills that were distributed every five years, which represented the hope of all sect cultivators.
“Actually, if you beco a High-level Array Master, the sect will provide you with at least four Foundation Establishnt Pills!” Yin Shilan knew more than him and pointed out the direction in which he needed to strive.
Li Shiming’s eyes widened; this was the first ti he had heard this news.
If he knew how many High-level Array Masters there were in the sect, he would understand the extent of importance the sect placed on High-level Array Masters.
In the vast Heavenly Sea Sect, there were only three High-level Array Masters, and yet, many areas needed maintenance by them.
A sect’s primary Formation always needed one High-level Array Master on standby to handle sudden situations, which was why there was normally one High-level Array Master stationed at the Spirit chanism Pavilion on Dui Peak.
This ant that, presently, only two High-level Array Masters were maintaining the vast primary Formation in the Heavenly Sea Sect.
Like the node flags he saw earlier, only a High-level Array Master could repair them.
“I will beco a High-level Array Master!” Li Shiming clenched his fist tightly; he must get those four Foundation Establishnt Pills.
Yin Shilan had made a decision as well, though she did not tell him.
Yin Shilan, possessing a Heavenly Spirit Root, might secure a Foundation Establishnt Pill as a safeguard, but her accumulated good deeds were enough to exchange for one pill already.
Knowing that Li Shiming had three spirit root seeds, she understood that he would need as many Foundation Establishnt Pills as possible to ensure his advancent to Foundation Establishnt.
“Eh!” Li Shiming took out his Identity Jade Disc with so confusion about why Yun Ze would contact him at this ti.
Logically, since he and Yun Ze, along with Yun’s Trading House, had broken ties, why would Yun Ze wish to contact him?
“What happened?” Yin Shilan asked with concern.
“It’s a ssage from Yun Ze!” Li Shiming answered while checking the information on the Identity Jade Disc.
Yin Shilan was curious too; if anyone in the sect knew Li Shiming best, it was her. Whenever they had ti, they would communicate at noon.
Besides exchanging insights on Formations, they would talk about various other things.
Yin Shilan had no intention of intervening in Li Shiming’s affairs, a piece of wisdom imparted by her mother.
Yun Ze invited Li Shiming to et as a friend.
Yun Ze was very clever; he did not ntion anything else but extended the invitation based on their prior friendship, knowing well Li Shiming’s character.
Furthermore, he chose Gen Peak for the eting, which was theoretically extrely safe.
“Yun Ze wants to et ; you go ahead and submit the task!” Li Shiming considered it for a mont and agreed, instructing Yin Shilan as such.
“Stay in touch, and be careful in all matters!” Yin Shilan nodded in response.
She took off into the air, floating gracefully away.
Li Shiming arrived at Gen Peak, at a courtyard at the foot of the mountain where Yun Ze had arranged the eting.
His eyes flickered; the courtyard-style residence was one of the rarer forms of cultivator dwellings on the Nine Peaks, as most cultivators preferred mountain dwellings.
The main reason cultivators favored mountain dwellings was their enhanced secrecy and safety. A mountain protected by Formations could block other cultivators’ prying eyes and greatly reduce the spiritual power fluctuations inside the dwelling.
The security and privacy provided by the Formations set up inside these mountain dwellings were exceptionally strong.
A courtyard-style dwelling, on the other hand, was usually opted for the convenience of tending to Spirit Plant, and less for secrecy, as rarely any normal cultivator would choose such a publicly exposed dwelling.
It was evident that Yun Ze had chosen this place to put Li Shiming at ease.
However, the more it was so, the more uneasy Li Shiming felt.
But looking at the courtyard’s Formation, it was rely a typical Defensive Array that could block the spiritual power fluctuations inside; breaking through it was fairly easy.
He had many contingencies in place and thus did not overthink it.
“Junior Li is here, please co in!” Yun Ze still wore a sincere smile, eagerly calling out as he saw Li Shiming arrive.
Despite the incident with ‘Thousand-Mile Mutual View Second Generation,’ it seed not to affect him, but the more Li Shiming observed, the more suspicious he beca.
Li Shiming pressed a device at his waist to activate its function, a seemingly ordinary ‘Thousand-Mile Mutual View.’
“Senior Yun, you’re too kind!”
Li Shiming entered the courtyard, cautiously deciding not to enter the house but to stand in the courtyard.
“Senior Yun seems to be living quite comfortably within the sect!” he remarked as he surveyed the situation inside the courtyard, his tone a mix of sarcasm and envy.
Four maidservants were standing in the courtyard. They had no spiritual power fluctuations within them, but they were most definitely maidservants.
However, under Li Shiming’s scrutiny, he could distinctly sense the vigorous blood flow within the bodies of the maidservants, a prowess ordinary maids could not achieve.
