The silence between Khal and Sofiel beca heavy and lengthy when Khal finished talking.
Of course, it was only natural as Khal’s request was just simply too confusing for Sofiel to understand.
First of all, while it was indeed true that she and her kind had the power capable of sensing if one was approaching their death, it could only do that and there were many techniques out there that could do the sa as their Blessing!
Secondly, Sofiel couldn’t understand why Khal, soone with already heaven-defying powers would ask her help when he could easily go and find anyone else better!
Lastly, with those terrifying abilities he possessed, Khal could easily threaten and force her to help him without giving her any pill in exchange and let her die in the end!
However, what she didn’t know was that the reason Khal was asking here was rather simple; he was simply lazy.
Lazy to find soone else like Sofiel while he was also lazy to learn a technique similar to her Blessing which only waste his precious ti.
As for threatening and forcing her, while it was indeed true he could do such a thing, he still had so heart and if he decided to ask for soone’s help he would do it normally and even reward them in the end.
As for the main reason why he needed an ability such as the Blessing of a Lightkin, it was because it had a crucial role if he wished to succeed with his Soul Separation!
According to his Divine Soul Sutra and the steps needed for the Soul Separation, Khal could only possess a body that either had its soul damaged or didn’t have any at all!
Of course, while it was true that the forr one was a much easier option to choose because Khal didn’t wish to kill soone who still had their soul he was forced to choose the other option.
However, for him to succeed and gain complete control over a body that had no soul within, he had to find soone who was on the verge of dying and whose body was still intact after death.
The reason?
It was because once a cultivator died and their soul perished, Khal only had a single day to separate his own soul from his body and possess the previously dead and soulless body of the cultivator!
And because of this reason why Khal needed the help of soone like Sofiel, who possessed the ability to perceive other cultivators’ "Life Force" and determine when they will succumb to their death!
Sofiel looked deep in thought and seed to be considering many things despite her eyes flashing with confusion from ti to ti.
"You don’t have to answer imdiately, but I would be more than glad if at least in a week you give a reply." this ti it was Khal who broke the silence.
"A week? Why..." Sofiel raised her head to ask why Khal was giving her such a long ti to think, but she quickly seed to understand.
"Just as you have guessed, yes, in a week I will beco an Overlord and challenge the Celestial Realm Beast to ascend into the next Realm!"
"I-I see... So that’s why." Sofiel nodded softly and after fiddling with the small pill with her slender and delicate fingers her face turned resolute and looked straight into Khal’s eyes.
"If I help you, will you promise you will give the second pill?"
"I will. And before you ask how you should trust despite barely knowing each other, let’s make an Eternal Oath."
"A... what?" Sofiel asked, confused.
Eternal Oath, an ancient technique that can help two sides promise sothing to each other without breaking that vow, or else the side that broke it would die without any chance to survive!
This was the sa thing that Khal has done with Nova, hence explaining it to Sofiel didn’t even take a minute.
’Such a thing really existed until now?!’ Sofiel cried inwardly once she heard what an Eternal Oath was.
Of course, if one considered that only beings in the Sixth Realm knew about an Eternal Oath it was not a huge surprise to see Sofiel look so dumbfounded and lost for words.
"Just take your ti and rec-"
"I will help!"
Khal was surprised by the sudden reply but soon a soft smile appeared on his face and nodded. There was no reason for him to waste any more ti; if Sofiel agreed to help him he won’t stand at a ceremony.
"I see, then let’s take the oath right now." Khal waved his hand and quickly started to draw a complex symbol on the ground using his own blood as ink.

BOOOM!
A massive explosion shook the western region of the Fourth Realm before a pillar of flas in the shape of a lotus rose toward the sky while the shockwave bursting out of it split the heart in a hundred miles radius.
"I can still hardly accept a single individual can possess such terrifying destructive power." floating beside Khal in the sky Sofiel swallowed nervously seeing how hundreds of Lords and several Overlords scread from terror as their bodies scorched and turned to ash!
Just now, Sofiel watched how Khal used a single attack which although was a simple fla-type technique for so reason in the hands of the young man beside her ended up being a literal nuclear bomb with the power capable of claiming the lives of Overlords!
Naturally, this was all possible because Khal possessed an insane amount of Body Essence, so much that not even those Sixth Realm beings possessed!
Of course, this did not an he was capable of killing Sixth Realm existences, far from it. While it was indeed true that the amount of Body Essence one could possess was a crucial factor in fights, it was not what decided one’s fate in life and death situations!
Bam!
Floating in the air while consuming the Battle Essences, a powerful presence broke out from Khal’s body, indicating he finally beca an Overlord!
After a little over than three weeks, sothing that until now was never heard before, Khal finally reached the peak of the Fourth Realm!
