Logan stared at Senior Lin with a puzzled complexion, his brain working overti as he tried to guess just what kind of "sin" did his ex-student accomplished to receive punishnt.
"I see you are confused, but don’t be. While that brat possesses strength I have never seen in my entire life before, he still is a part of this sect thus he needs to obey its rules." Senior Lin said calmly.
"What did he do?" failing to think about the reason why Khal was punished Logan sighed gently and asked.
"He almost destroyed the entire sect because he forged."
"Don’t tell ... Did he forge another ore with God Essence?" Logan’s eyes widened as the mory of how Khal literally ford a huge crater inside Moon Acadamy because he forged an ore’s God Essence appeared in his mind.
"...Pardon? Another?" this ti it was Senior Lin’s turn to beco stupefied as she didn’t know if what she heard was right or not.
"Huh? Oh, yeah. Khal has already succeeded to create God Essence once in the past and the results of it were similar to what you have just described. Though at that ti the explosion he created was nowhere near destroying the whole academy. I guess it is because the ores from the First Realm cannot be compared to the ones from this Realm."
’...’ Senior Lin beca silent and suddenly a scene where the Second Realm was pierced by a pillar of light appeared in her mind.
’So that dense pillar of essence was all this ti the creation of his?’ Senior Lin thought in his heart and subconsciously shifted her gaze toward a specific direction where the Moon Grotto was located.
"Anyways, when will he finish with his... punishnt?" Logan decided to ask after a while.
"A week."
"A week?" Logan mumbled those two words and nodded before turning around and walking away.
"Huh? Where are you going?" Senior Lin was surprised when she saw Logan walking away and quickly asked.
"I am going to hunt so beasts while I wait."
"But... Don’t you want to join the sect first?"
"Nah, I have been a part of a ’sect’ before for way too long. I want so freedom for now." Logan said as he raised his hand and waved it left and right without turning around before adding, "I will just co back when I can talk with him. Until then... take care."
Senior Lin’s lips parted as she wished to say sothing but as no words ca to her mouth she could only watch as Logan vanished among the tree’s shade in the distance.
anwhile, back inside Moon Grotto, Khal was standing inside the Grotto Lake while his eyes were closed with his brows tightly knitted together almost as if he was in so sort of pain.
Ti passed in silence and without notice and suddenly Khal sighed deeply and asked, "Hey, Nova... How much ti has passed?"
[About 7 hours.]
"What? Just 7 hours?" Khal’s eyes snapped open as disbelief flashed in them and said, "I thought at the very least a day has passed! It seems a person’s sense of ti truly can slow down depending on the circumstances."
Though, soon his complexion contorted into a grimace, making him quickly close his eyes and force his mind to concentrate on sothing that could possibly avert his attention from the seemingly unbearable itchiness which assaulted his entire body both on and below his skin.
Seconds passed by and slowly turned into minutes which in the end beca hours. And in a flash, which in truth from Khal’s point of view was an eternity, two days have passed.
However, just as the third day could have passed, Khal suddenly opened his eyes and said, "I can’t... It is just impossible for the current to hold out any longer than this."
[Then why don’t you try to go into your Soul Prison? If you do, while your consciousness will be resting there you can allow your body and mind to be strengthened here.]
"Huh? Is that even possible?" Khal asked with awe but as the itchiness over his body which was akin to thousand worms crawling through his flesh and veins grew stronger by each passing second he didn’t wait for a reply and used his bracelet to bring his consciousness into his Soul Prison.
Whoosh!
In an instant, Khal’s vision blurred for a split second before everything around him changed, becoming all gray!
"This..." Khal closed his eyes as he took a deep breath, enjoying how the feeling that assaulted his body all of a sudden vanished and allowed him to feel as if he was reborn!
"Much better..." Khal hugged himself gently as he caressed his body, making sure that he was not hallucinating and the itchiness together with the crawling feeling inside his flesh all over his body have disappeared or not.
"Did you lose so screws or what? Why are you hugging yourself with that drooling smile on your face? You look like a total creep."
Suddenly, as Khal was moving his arms around his body in a manner as if he was hugged by soone, a voice filled with confusion and disgust resound from behind Khal, forcing him to stop moving and slowly turn around.
"Ah, Neo! Sup?" Khal lowered his hands when he saw Neo’s figure and smiled.
"Don’t fucking sup as if nothing happened, you creep!" Neo looked at Khal with disdain and said, "Why did you hug yourself with such an elated look? Hell, your body even squird around while you let out all kinds of voices!"
"I..." Khal was stupefied and asked, "Did I?"
"YES!"
"Oh..." Khal stroked the side of his cheek with his index finger before he coughed twice awkwardly.
As for Neo, he just stared at Khal in silence before he closed his eyes and took a deep breath only to exhale it to calm himself down.
"Whatever... Let’s talk instead. We have quite a few things to discuss, they are quite important too."
