"We can kill them just like that?" Deva and Baylie looked speeches by the scene, but soon turned happy and without hesitation started to target the reflections around them.
Swish!
Bam!
Crack!
Purple flas, wind blades, and several sword slashes flew everywhere, destroying the entire surroundings together with the approaching creatures in minutes.
About a hundred Mirror Soldiers fell under that short period without having the chance to fight back, making the three at the end of their battle smile with relief and joy.
"We did it! Haha, it wasn't that hard, right?" laughed Baylie with a wide grin as he thought this fight was the easiest for him so far.
Although the Mirror Soldiers were at the peak of the Eighth Cultivation Stage, which would have caused quite a headache for them if the fight would have been done anywhere else, against a unique power where they could die by a single strike because their reflection was hit, they were no better than pigs waiting to get slaughtered.
Even Deva nodded in agreent as she too thought the sa thing, but yet, for so strange reason she couldn't help but feel this weird feeling in her heart and took several glances in Khal's direction.
'Just how does he know so much about this place? There are no current records of these mirror types of creatures in the Cultivator's Association, yet he instantly knew how to kill them. It's like he knew their weaknesses from the get-go, but how?' Deva pondered, but no matter what she thought about, nothing ca into her my d that could answer her suspicions.
After killing all the creatures, Khal looked at the two behind him and said, "You two can do whatever you want to, but make sure not to descend any deeper than this."
Baylie and Deva nodded, but in their hearts, they wondered why Khal suddenly warned them not to descend any further. However, they could only guess blindly in silence as Khal has already sat down, his eyes closed as he seemingly began to cultivate.
"Let's stand guard. Although we have killed all the creatures, we can't know when they will reappear," said Baylie to Deva calmly.
The Neverending Dungeon was a strange place where creatures existed on each floor no matter how many tis they were killed before. After an unknown duration of ti, each floor was replaced by a bunch of other creatures, completely different from the ones they have killed.
That is why Baylie suggested protecting Khal as it was the best to remain alert even when things seed to be peaceful at first glance.
Ti passed by in silence and while Deva and Baylie stood on the sides, Khal was comprehending everything that happened during his fight against the Mirror Soldiers and tried to find a string of connections between that and the aning behind his Essence Path.
However, it was easier to say than done, as even after two hours straight of thinking later he still failed to find any relation between the two. And with his already enhanced ntal and soul strength it was scary to think he failed even after such a long ti.
'I am close, but sothing is still missing. But what could it be?'
Khal mulled over the things he went through during his battle, checking even the smallest detail, and soon he indeed found sothing.
'So that what was missing!' Khal imdiately pushed his Essence against his sealed gate and the very next second he did...
BAM!
[Congratulations! You have successfully unsealed the Path of Maze of Reflections!]
Right as Nova's voice fell, Khal's body exploded with terrifying presence while a power that he never experienced before surged through his entire core!
"T-This... He is entering the Ninth Cultivation Stage!" Baylie exclaid out loud, seemingly speeches by the happenings.
Although they were notified and told that Khal was coming to the Neverending Dungeon because he hit a bottleneck, they thought it was because he was struggling to open up his eighteenth or nineteenth Essence Path and not his twenty-first!
They felt shocked when they learned he was already an Eighth Stage Cultivator at such a young age, but thinking he reached the Ninth Cultivation Stage... It was unfathomable. His future was simply limitless with such a ridiculous cultivation talent!
[Congratulations! You have successfully reached the Ninth Cultivation Stage!]
[All of your Power Cores have been improved to the next Cultivation Stage!]
[All of your Cultivator Traits have been increased by 2!]
Once all the announcents vanished, Khal opened his eyes and glanced at his palm with a pondering look.
'...'
Starting at his hand for several minutes straight in silence, Khal finally smiled and clenched his fingers into a tight fist.
'I did it. I have finally reached the Ninth Stage!' Khal thought with joy and without hesitation activated his Heaven's Eyes to see just hiw much it changed.
Swish!
'Amazing! It feels like I am watching myself and everything around from far above!' Khal exclaid with shock as every little thing and detail was perfectly visible in his head in a hundred ters radius as if he was staring at them from a few centiters close!
What's more, even the things that moved in his vision beca extrely slower than before. Just a single blink from Deva and Baylie lasted for at least two seconds was a ridiculously long ti!
'What about the rest?' Khal imdiately beca excited and was ready to check his other powers, but still resisted the urge and stood up.
"Let's head back up. There is no longer a reason for us to descend any deeper."
Hearing what Khal just said, the two on the side nodded slightly and started to follow Khal back up to the surface.
Their journey back to the surface was rather peaceful and without problems. Even when they reached floors where creatures have reappeared they were all killed by Khal with a single assault, shocking Deva and Baylie even deeper.
"How will we get down?" Khal asked Deva once they erged back to the surface and walked to the edge.
However, Deva instead of answering took out a crimson crystal from her spatial ring and dropped it down before saying calmly, "And now we will wait."
Khal raised his brow when he heard this, but decided not to say anything but remain silent and wait just as Deva told him.
