Chapter 22: Personal Badge

“Test has been successfully completed and Cultivator’s data has been saved. You may leave now.”

As the robotic voice said those words, the silvery badge before Khal’s face started to move and with gentle motion, it started to float above his palm.

“That’s it? Just like this?”, thought Khal with surprise as he looked around.

After seeing that the proximity around him started to darken, he just shrugged simply and said, “Well, it seems that now that I have got my Cultivator’s Badge, I have nothing more to do here.”

As a result, he turned around and started to walk toward the exit while looking at the card in his hand.

Its look was exactly the sa that Liza had. Silvery appearance with small and thin letters and sentences carved on its surface under each other.

/Na: Khal Nevio/

• Age: 17

• Cultivation Talent: Sight Enhancent

• Cultivation Stage: Vessel

• Rank: F

“…”

When Khal read the pieces of information on the card, he felt silent instantly while his expression looked confused.

Firstly, he didn’t quite understand what that ‘Rank: F’ could even an. Even after thinking for several minutes, he was still incapable to rember a thing about stuff like ranks.

As a result, he just simply let it go and decided to ask Liza or Noelle about it later.

On the other hand, he had a hunch what the Cultivation Stage could an. He could clearly rember from the diary that in this world there were different Stages that could be reached through consuming Beast Essences. But as to what these Stage’s nas were, he didn’t have a clue at all.

“I guess the First Stage is called Vessel then. But still, what bothers the most is my Talent’s title.”, said Khal with a frown and glanced at the sentence which said ‘Sight Enhancent’.

He clearly knew that the na was definitely not describing his Talent’s full capacity because Sight Enhancent ant only that his sight would beco greater.

However, this was a completely false statent. If only his sight would have gone under great improvent, then he wouldn’t have been able to observe everything in his surroundings as he did back then against the assassins.

When Khal saw the title, he thought it was because he did the test while only activating his Heaven’s Eyes, but not using it.

Or at least that was the only explanation he could currently think about.

If he would have used it, then there was the possibility that his Talent’s title would have ended up entirely differently.

But to tell the truth, Khal didn’t care about it. At least he could finally calm down, knowing he could avoid being suspected by others for the ti being.

“Sigh… Well, at least this is the only thing I can be happy about currently.”, said Khal, and after putting his badge away he walked out of Sky Hall.

“Ah, here you are. It seems you have also finished the test quite easily. So? How did it go?”, asked Noelle with a smile as she watched Khal walking out of Sky Hall.

Khal looking at her just smiled and with a slight nod, he said, “Yeah, everything went perfectly fine. However, I don’t quite understand sothing. What does exactly ‘Rank’ an on our badge? It is foreign to .”

When Noelle heard this she smiled and said, “Ah, I was precisely explaining this question to your friend too while you were inside. So please let start it from the beginning to make sure both of you will understand it more clearly.”

As she said this, she took out her badge from her pocket and after pointing at it, she started to talk.

“As you can see, on your Cultivator’s Badge things like your na, age, Talent, Stage and Rank could be found. I think I don’t need to explain what the first four an, but on the other hand, I know the fifth one could beco quite confusing.”

After she said this, she pointed at her card where the word ‘Rank’ was written and continued, “Our Cultivator’s Organization decided to create a system where people could complete quests and tasks that others couldn’t finish because they are either weak in strength or lack in manpower. However, there is one important rule which everyone needs to follow.”

As she said this she pointed at her rank and said, “As you can see, I am on Rank C, which ans if I want to complete tasks alone, I can only do it if the task’s rank is exactly Rank C or below it. Any quests above your rank are strictly prohibited from completing.”

As Khal heard this he nodded and thought, “Just like in those video gas from my past life, but this ti it is for real. Cool!”

While Khal thought about this, Liza on his side nodded and asked, “And what happens if one has Rank C, but still wants to complete a higher task? Can we complete those tasks with soone who is on a B rank?”

Noelle hearing the question glanced at Liza with a gentle smile and said, “Perfect question. In that case, the one who has a lower rank is permitted to complete the quest. However, if sothing happens, the Cultivator’s Organization does not take any kind of responsibility. I hope you can rember this before choosing quests.”

“We will and also thank you very much for the detailed explanation.”, said Liza with a slight bow.

“Your welco. Also, I forgot to tell you that the more quests you complete the higher your rank can go and the more reward you can obtain. But even like this, I hope you will be smart enough to know when to stop.”

Khal and Lize knew what Noelle ant by that. If they were right, there were already a lot of people who tried to complete a higher task with their low rank and naturally, they ended up dying.

With a nod, the two bowed to Noelle once again and said, “We will be careful, thank you for the warning.”

“Perfect then.”, said Noelle and without saying anything more, she escorted them out.

Waving goodbye to Noelle, Khal and Liza walked away slowly.

After they walked for a while, suddenly Liza glanced at the card in Khal’s hand and with a quick and smooth move, she took it away.

“H-hey! Give it back!”, said Khal instantly with a bit embarrassingly, fearing that Liza will laugh at him seeing his rank or Talent.

“Oh, co on! I’m quite curious about yours. Here. You can watch mine.”, said Liza with a smile and threw her card to Khal.

“I’m…”, started to say Khal, but seeing that Liza was already looking at his card he could only sigh and he too looked at Liza’s badge.

However, the mont he did, his eyes widened with shock, not believing what he was seeing.

/Na: Liza Skyfall/

• Age: 17

• Natural Born Talent: Jade Ice

• Cultivation Talent: Fla Control

• Cultivation Stage: Vessel

• Rank: S

When Khal saw that Liza had two powerful Talents and had S-Rank, he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

She was just simply in a whole different realm compared to him and that was not a question at all.

“I… I am just way too inferior to her…”, thought Khal with gloom, as he felt completely crushed by Liza’s data on her Badge.
