---

After killing the Beast that didn't even have ti to scream up thanks to Liza's swift assault, Khal sighed and said, "Consu it's Essence and let's get going. We should go higher, at least we will find stronger creatures there."

"Un." nodding, Liza consud the Beast Essence and without saying anything else followed Khal closely.

To make their search for Beasts with higher Stages easier, Khal patted Rubie gently and asked her to spy their surroundings from above.

"Schreech!" with a low cry, Rubie fluttered her wings and flew high up into the air, her eyes scanning the earth below nonstop.

"By the way, what was that armor you used to protect yourself from my attack? Was that your reward also?" Liza asked Khal, curious about the green armor as that was her first ti seeing Khal use that armor.

"Yeah, it is called Chaleon Armor. Quite a powerful item and it has quite a great defensive ability too."

"Hmmm? Powerful? What should that an?" asked Liza, a hint of curiosity flashing in her delicate eyes.

"Let show you instead," said Khal and summoned his armor.

In a blink, the green armor made out of tiny scales appeared on his body, his entire figure wrapped up completely without any spot left open.

Once his armor was on, Khal walked next to a huge boulder and put his palm onto its surface.

Liza seed confused by this as she didn't understand what Khal tried to do, but soon her eyes opened wide from surprise.

Slowly, the green scales on the armor began to shake gently and soon changed, causing Khal's armor to beco one with the rock almost as if he has vanished into thin air.

"Woah! So cool!" exclaid Liza without any hint of sarcasm, and walked around Khal and the boulder to inspect him in greater detail.

Except for the fact that his body's contour could be seen from both sides, Khal beca completely one with the rock. If she watched him from the front, no matter if she stared right at him she couldn't see him at all!

"Schreech!" suddenly a loud cry ca from above, making both Khal and Liza realize Rubie found their first real target.

"Let's go," said Khal and I summoned his armor before he began to run toward the place where Rubie was.

Liza followed Khal closely from behind and soon they arrived before a small river fall, with a huge Beast sitting idly in the middle of the pond on a small rock.

"Moon Frog," said Liza, her complexion a bit complex from different emotions.

Moon Frogs were usually Beasts on the Fourth Cultivation Stage that did nothing but sit in one place, enjoying the moon's light every single night. They were peaceful beings that didn't attack any Cultivator if they weren't attacked either. But if they felt threatened, chaos could easily erge.

Moon Frogs were Beasts with exceptional defensive powers as their skin was extrely sturdy while their long tongue that could reach even a hundred ters far was as hard as steel.

Once grabbed by their tongue, no matter how hard one struggled, without a powerful weapon that was at least on the Flawless Tier, hoping to escape was only a foolish dream.

"What should we do? I don't think so my power is powerful enough to penetrate its skin. Maybe I can open a small wound but that won't be enough to kill it." whispered Liza, but watched with shock that Khal was already holding a crimson bow, his fingers resting on its string.

"Huh? Another weapon? Just how many rewards did you get because of the tournant?"

"Just a few," said Khal and pulled the string backward slowly.

Liza first seed confused and even wanted to warn Khal that he had no arrows placed on the string, but soon realized that he didn't have to.

As soon as he pulled the bow's string back fully, a black mist arose from the carvings from the weapon, forming a floating black arrow between Khal's finger, ready to be fired at any given mont!

"Ribbit?" feeling targeted, the Moon Frog averted its gaze from the sky and turned its gaze toward a tree, where it noticed Khal's figure aiming at it with an arrow.

"Ribbit!" imdiately realizing what was happening, the frog turned frenzied and shot its tongue at Khal with blinding fast speed!

Khal watched the approaching attack with a calm gaze and with a gentle tug he let the string go.

Swish!

With a silent 'whoosh' sound the black arrow was fired, and with speed twice as fast as the Moon Frogs' tongue it broke through the air and reached the Beast with lightning speed!

The Moon Frog seeing this remained motionless as it was confident in its skin's sturdiness and continued to attack Khal, ready to trap him with its tongue!

However, just before that could have happened, Khal's arrow surprisingly didn't pierce its skin but flew straight through its body, dissolving into thin air once it hit the ground behind it.

And exactly as this happened, the frog's whole figure stiffened up, its tongue freezing just an inch before Khal's nonchalant face in mid-air.

"What?" Liza seemingly startled by what happened watched as the Moon Frog's body went limp, and turned into a yellow substance, clearly showing that it has just died and turned into Beast Essence.

"That was surprisingly easy." thought Khal, pleasantly surprised and satisfied by his weapon's sneaky, but fatal power.

"With a single strike, I was able to kill a Fourth Stage Beast without breaking a sweat. This weapon is much better than I have thought!" smiled Khal, but soon a frown ford on his face, "But it still has its own disadvantages..."

For example, Khal found out that every ti he used the arrow, or to be more precise its ability to form Soul Arrows, around 20 to 30 units of his Essence was used.

For him, that amount was not a lot, but in a battle where he needed to use his Devil Fangs' abilities, it was a lot. Especially when he will buy and upgrade newer things on his bracelet, making his Body Essence fall back to 100 units.

Once that happens, he won't be able to use his bow or at least his usage with it will be limited just like with his Devil Fang's!

"Well, considering hiw powerful it is, it's only natural. The only question here is how far can I go with this weapon." Khal's curiosity was piqued as he wondered if he was able to kill Beasts on the Fifth Stage or even higher than that as his arrows didn't target the body but their soul!

"Consu the Essence and let's continue. We still have a lot of ti," said Khal and signaled Rubie to go and look for more Beasts.

"Huh? No, you killed it, so it's obviously yours. I already told you, we will split the Essence fairly." insisted Liza, making Khal feel a bit of headache.

"I just want to help her, why can't she see that?" sighed Khal inwardly, but knowing her nature he nodded.

"Sure."

Jumping onto the rock where the Essence was, Khal sat down and began to consu the Essence.

After about 2 minutes later, Khal opened his eyes and stood up, in his head a notification playing loudly.

[Notify! 'Heaven's Eyes' has consud 17 'Beast Essence'!]
