Chapter 157: Hundred Slice Cage

Swish!

Green light shot forth from the card, vanishing into Khal’s head and soon a colorful light manifested inside his mind surprising him deeply.

“What’s this?” asked Khal as he felt a warm presence deep inside his mind. He never experienced sothing like this before hence his face now was full of shock.

“So object on or above Middle-Quality possess a so-called Soul Alloy hence people can keep and retrieve them in their Soul freely. You can think about the process as a Spatial Ring but with the sole exception that in this condition it’s your body the Spatial Ring.” Logan on the side explained to Khal what happened as he noticed his confusion.

“Soul Alloy… Now things make greater sense.” nodded Khal as he could clearly rember Bazz ntioning Soul Alloys once.

“Then I should collect the Secret Art.” thought Khal and tapped on the final ‘collect’ sign on the silver card.

Swish!

Just like what happened previously, the screen changed before him, and several hundred if not thousands of across with detail below them appeared.

Without hesitation, Khal tapped on the categorization nu and selected ‘Expert Level’.

“Not a lot but sufficient amount.” thought Khal as he watched the few Secret Arts that were only a bit more in number than the armors.

However, after checking all of them out Khal’s face seed to be disappointed as none of them were to his liking. Each Art was about movents or defense, but he already had both of them thus they were useless.

“Is there a Secret Art that can be used with a weapon, for example, a fan?” asked Khal from the woman before him, who seed surprised by this question.

“Please give a mont, I will imdiately ask the higher-ups about this matter.” the woman bowed at Khal and without further ado walked away with quick strides.

If it were anyone she would simply apologize they didn’t have, but Khal was another matter as he ended up in the 5th place thus he was considered a VIP as a powerful Cultivator.

Soti later, the woman ca back, and surprisingly she held two scrolls in her hand.

This surprised Khal a bit as even though he asked his question he didn’t expect she will be able to find a Secret Art associated with a fan much less two!

“Esteed Guest, here they are.” bowed lightly the woman and handed the two scrolls to Khal.

Both were a foot long and a human fist wide, while their colors were black with a golden emblem on their middle.

Swish!

Two photographic screens manifested above the scrolls, making Khal inspect both with piqued interest.

[Wind Shock]

• Level: Expert

• Description: Through channeling Essence into the weapon massive wind shock can be created.

[Hundred Slice Cage]

• Level: Expert

• Description: A powerful Art capable of creating motionless wind blades after the first swing and explode them after the second one.

“Oh?” Khal’s eyes were glued on the second Secret Art as its description seed intriguing.

The first one was interesting too, but because he can already achive a similar effect with his Devil Fangs it seed useless to him.

“I will choose this,” said Khal as he put Hundred Slice Cage away and handed the other one back to the woman.

“Perfect choice. Now if you excuse …” smiled the woman and after taking the scroll bowed and walked away as she completed her duty with him.

“How are you doing guys?” asked Khal as he watched Raven and Theon still pondered.

“I am okay, I think I will just consu these pills.” shrugged Theon as his best rewards were the pills.

“How about you?” Khal turned toward Raven, leaving Theon alone as he couldn’t help him with what he was doing.

Also, he asked her because she seed troubled more than he was, but in truth, it was only natural.

As she finished in 1st place, her options to choose from were bigger than them thus she seed to be quite troubled.

Khal seeing that she was still among the Secret Arts asked, “What kind of Secret Art do you want?”

“Huh? Oh, I would prefer sothing with movents as I have none. But as I can see all of them are weak.”

“Weak…” Khal didn’t know whether to laugh or cry as Raven just called Cultivator Level Secret Arts weak skills.

Even the remaining won on their sides seed shocked, but as she did not want to be rude she just simply smiled; only her eyes showed their real emotions.

“Then how about this one? It seems pretty decent, or at least for ,” asked Theon suddenly who seed to already finish consuming the pills.

“So fast?” asked Khal as not even 5 seconds have passed since Theon started to consu the pills?

“Huh? Fast? They were only pills and I threw them into my mouth. Why what should have done?” Theon seed confused, not understanding why Khal seed surprised.

“I…” Khal wanted to say sothing but realized he couldn’t.

It looked like only he was the only one that is pills one by one while devouring the feeling that each pill provided after each consumption.

“Hmm… This one seems pretty good, yeah. Then I will go with this one.” said Rave and without hesitation collected the Art that Theon suggested.

Ti slowly passed and after helping Raven choose a weapon that was a Legendary Tier dagger, much better than her first one, Khal said his goodbye to the two as he had other things to do before the banquet.

“I will go too, I have an appointnt to reach. et you tonight kid!” with a wave of his hand, Logan left the hotel and walked away.

Walking back to his ‘room’ that was still the paradise-looking environnt as previously, Khal glanced around and nodded.

“Let’s try them out.” closing his eyes, Khal concentrated on the armor inside his consciousness and soon a green light enveloped his body.

“Woah! It looks better from up close than from photos,” exclaid Khal loudly as the armor wrapped his whole body up, leaving no open spot out at all!

Even his whole head was covered with green scales, each as small as a tip of a pinky.

“And it’s amazingly light too! It’s neither tight nor heavy, makes perfectly fine to move in. It feels almost like it’s not on my body in the least!”

Khal moved around the trees while throwing punches and kicks, testing the arm’s flexibility and durability out while Rubie spectated all this from a tree with interested gazes.

BAM!

Punching a tree into dust as though it was tofu before his fist, Khal glanced at the armor only to see no marks on it!

Obviously, he didn’t expect cut marks on it, but not even a slight scratch could be seen which was a great sign.

“Let’s try its ability out,” said Khal and thought back to what he should do to active its unique trait.

“Just a slight touch should be perfect, right?” asked Khal and without hesitation placed his palm on a small stone on his side.

‘…’

Clatter~Clatter!

“!?”

After a bit, more than 3 seconds, the scales on the armor began to shake like leaves on the trees under the wind and watched as they gradually began to shift, twist and change.

Starting from his fingers then spreading further upward on his arm like a virus, Khal watched as the armor soon turned from a green tallic shade into a rigid, grey-colored material, with the exact sa outer appearance as the stone he just touched!
