Chapter 139: A Simple Bridge
As his foot touched the bridge’s surface, Khal felt as a strong gust of wind crashed into his body from the side, almost sending his body flying off from the bridge!
“Jesus! This is fucking nonsense!” thought Khal as he stepped another inch forward and felt as the wind instead of weakening it beca even stronger!
It was so strong that if he wasn’t careful enough he could quite easily find himself among the oceanic Beast below him in a flash!
One slow step forward following the other, Khal supported himself on the bridge’s side which was similar to a balustrade made out of black jade, and sauntered steadily.
Even Rubie was struggling on Khal’s shoulder against the powerful wind, hence she climbed into his robe, revealing only her little head below Khal’s chin.
Walking for one hour straight with a snail-like pace, Khal stopped his steps and turned around only to widen his eyes extra-large; under 1 hour, he was able to walk a bit more than 1 mile! The section from where he just ca from was clearly visible in the distance, while the other section where he wanted to go could nowhere to be seen!
“Fucking perfect…” Khal cursed out loudly, but because of the almost deafening wind that could be called a storm instead, his voice was nothing more but a quiet buzz.
–
Hours have passed and after unknown how many steps, Khal finally was able to see another section in the distance.
From far away, Khal was able to see several huge mountains with clouds covering their peak, while on so of their sides a river was falling into sowhere below that was hidden from another mountain.
“Finally!” sighed Khal with relief, even a rry smile forming on his face as his body began to feel exhausted, but unfortunately his celebration didn’t last long.
Just as his voice fell, suddenly the bridge below his feet began to tremble like crazy while the section before him vanished in a blink of an eye!
Yeah, it vanished! In its entirety, the section with its beautiful mountains and river fall turned into blue fragnts and dispersed into thin air, leaving only an infinitely long bridge before Khal’s sight.
“…”
Standing still like a complete idiot, Khal looked at the scenery before him with a frozen expression, his voice not wanting to co out of his mouth.
Right now, he was simply lost and didn’t know whether he should laugh or cry!
“I should turn around and walk back, right?” asked Khal after a mont of silence and took out his Cultivator’s Badge to see the changes on the map.
Holding it as firmly as his dear life depended on it, Khal glanced at the badge but his complexion paled right after he did.
Currently, both sections, the one he wanted to reach and the one he ca from, vanished completely, while the closest area to him turned out to be 3 sections away!
Putting his Cultivator’s Badge away with slow movents, Khal’s gaze gradually lowered only to see Rubie glancing right back up at him with a comfortable look plastered all over her face.

Sowhere else, where the ground, the trees, and even the sky itself was frozen, Seila walked forward with wide steps, her face holding nothing but indifference.
“SCHREECHH!!”
Soti later, suddenly a loud cry resounded in the silent domain, causing Seila to halt her movents and raise her head toward the skies.
Right above her head, about 2 or 3 miles away, a huge bird covered in blue flas was descending toward her at a rapid pace with the obvious intent to kill her!
“Ice Phoenix!” sowhere in the Southern Continent an old man was staring at the screen, his eyes flashing with excitent.
His na was in fact Elder Caz, the Principal of Heaven Academy and the Chief of the entirety of Heaven City!
After Haven City, which was the capital, Heaven City was the second strongest City on the Southern Continent in both military and technology prowess, manpower, fa, influence, and wealth!
No one except the capital had what it took to compete with them and this was also true to the Academy inside it!
Heaven Academy was the harshest Academy in the whole Southern Continent as they only allowed Cultivators with at least a B rank Talent to enroll. Anyone else below that requirent was prohibited to enter the Academy for the rest of their lives while if they sohow had the lowest Rank among Cultivators, expelling them from Heaven City was a must!
In their eyes, weak Cultivators only degenerated their reputation while only the strong had a place to remain in Heaven City!
Elder Caz watched Seila’s figure with a tranquil expression, waiting to see how his disciple will act in the face of an Ice Phoenix, one of the strongest and most all-rounded Beasts on the Fifth Cultivation Stage!
“SCHREEECH!!” with another deafening cry toward the heavens the Ice Phoenix’s speed quickened and akin to teleportation, manifested before Seila.
The very mont as this happened and the Beast’s figure appeared ters away from her, the temperature dropped below zero in a flash while blue flas exploded toward Seila like a tsunami!
Though, Seila’s face even in the face of such a terrifying Beast and situation just simply raised her sword toward the skies, cutting the blue flas into two!
“Schreeech!?” the Ice Phoenix seed to be in confusion as this was the first ti in its life that soone could repel its attack without sustaining any injuries!
Sheila naturally noticed this change in the Beast and didn’t let this opportunity swim away.
Right after splitting the blue flas into two, Seila’s left eye turned golden with a spinning triangle in its very middle while blue Essence began to cover her palm!
Swish!
“Sche-“
Slash!
Akin to a phantom that collected its prey’s soul during the night, Seila’s body vanished and reappeared behind the Beast, which body was no longer in one piece.
The sight as this occurred shocked many to the very core as the movent technique that Seila just used was extrely similar to what Khal used!
The Dance of The Celestial Serpent Second Form; Azure Snake Dance!
Although she used the Second Form a bit differently than Khal, the basics were the sa; terrifyingly the sa!
In contrast to Liza who could copy Secret Arts to a limited amount, Seila’s strange Talent let her copy any without limit! It could even copy a Cultivator Level Art to perfection just by a single glance which was madness in itself!
“Haha, to think she will use her Mirror Sight against that Beast… Haha, she must be pretty angered that she was unable to kill brat below her Stage.” Elder Caz chuckled rrily a bit then imdiately turned serious, his eyes fixed on a different screen.
“Though, in truth, even I would be furious. Training day and night to perfect my techniques and strengthen my Talents only to let a weak brat like him escape… I would feel ashad too!” said Elder Caz, his gaze flickering with different emotions as he watched Khal’s struggling figure on the screen.
Only after a brief mont later did he avert his gaze, no longer interested in him while even a slight smile ford on his face.
“Well, he will be dead even before they will have the chance to et again so it’s okay.”
