Chapter 57: Chapter 57: Infiltrating the Demon Nest, the Reincarnated One

"Taoist, right here..."

Amidst the lush bushes, Fatty Tiger’s head slowly erged, and he whispered, staring ahead.

Zhang Kui looked forward and saw a mountain hollow, with grotesque rocks and ancient twisted trees, strands of mist entwined around the cliffs, the terrain extrely rugged.

Between the mountain crevices was an inclined cave, the bluestone surface covered in moss, roughly hewn steps carved out, faintly revealing dim light.

Outside the cave, there were several wolves of various colors standing upright like humans, wearing tattered leather skirts, pushing each other and baring their teeth.

Several long snakes were coiled beside them, hissing their tongues as if watching the commotion.

"He shouldn’t be inside the cave..."

Fatty Tiger mocked, "This Mountain Demon follows the path of Moon Worship, yet he loves to imitate humans, enjoy extravagance and rules, calling himself ’Mountain Elder’. If he were here, the Hua family brothers wouldn’t dare be so unruly."

Zhang Kui squinted his eyes slightly, "Does this Mountain Demon often leave?"

Fatty Tiger chuckled lewdly, "This Old Demon is a lustful Evil Ghost, descending the mountain to abduct won every so often."

Zhang Kui and Zhu Sheng exchanged a glance,

"Brother Zhu, I’ll go in and explore."

"Alright, I’ll wait here for you."

As soon as the words were spoken, Zhang Kui’s figure vanished.

Since Zhang Kui dealt with three Grain Avoidance Realm Old Demons, his reputation spread across Qingzhou.

Fatty Tiger, knowing who the master was, didn’t dare have ulterior motives, but his sneaky nature couldn’t change. Just as he yawned and was about to take a nap, Zhang Kui’s voice sounded in his ear.

"You also go and guide ."

Fatty Tiger’s face twisted bitterly, but he didn’t dare talk back. He shook his body and crawled out of the dense forest slowly.

"Oh, isn’t this Master Hu!"

A keen-eyed Wolf Demon spotted him and greeted, addressing him as Master, but with eyes full of disdain,

"What are you here for?"

"Hmph!"

Fatty Tiger glared with his big eyes and said sinisterly, "I’m here to see the Great King, are you going to stop , Hua Er?"

The Wolf Demon froze and smirked darkly,

"How could I, the Mountain Elder will return shortly, you should go inside and wait."

Fatty Tiger snorted coldly and swaggered inside.

"Hold on!"

A Snake Demon hissed with its tongue,

"Master Hu, what’s that on your neck?"

Fatty Tiger froze at first, then turned around to argue, "You stupid demons, this is my new ornant, doesn’t it look mighty?"

"Mighty, mighty..."

The demons’ faces were strange.

Fatty Tiger initially thought the thing was troubleso, but getting praised by the demons made him feel the Beast Ring indeed stood out.

He shook his neck, causing the bronze bell on the Beast Ring to jingle, swaggering into the cave.

The demons whispered behind his back.

"Does this fool not know that only livestock wear such things?"

"Hmph, this coward loves to flatter, truly the scum among demons..."

...

Unaware of the gossip behind his back, Fatty Tiger boldly wandered around the cave, while secretly introducing the terrain to the invisible Zhang Kui nearby.

Inside the Demon Cave, the torches flickered dimly – a reception hall, kitchen, storage room... though not glamorous, they were tidy and orderly, with stone tables and benches neatly arranged.

It showed that the Old Demon indeed had a sense of pomp.

However, Zhang Kui’s face was as dark as water.

Because inside the kitchen’s large pot, there were children’s bones being stewed, won’s skins lay on the stone benches, and in the backroom were two naked peasant won, their eyes vacant...

Zhang Kui had read the Astronomical Bureau’s "Demon Record
