"Let go!" The black-clad maiden’s face changed dramatically. She shouted sharply, trying to break free from Luo Chen’s hands. However, Luo Chen seed determined, holding onto the dagger tightly.
"Without this sword, you can’t accomplish anything!" Luo Chen roared in agony. His hands were already stained red with blood, yet he showed no intention of giving up.
A hint of surprise flashed in the eyes of the black-clad maiden; she hadn’t expected Luo Chen to be so insane. She bit her silver teeth, fiercely kicking Luo Chen in the stomach. Luo Chen felt a sharp pain, but his hands still clutched the dagger tightly.
"If you want to die, then just die!" the black-clad maiden said with a cruel smile. She kicked several tis in succession, each kick landing accurately on Luo Chen’s stomach. However, to her shock, Luo Chen still showed no sign of letting go.
Determined light shone in Luo Chen’s eyes. It was as if he had forgotten the pain in his body. He knew this was his only chance; only by seizing the dagger could he truly defeat the black-clad maiden. Therefore, no matter what the cost, he would never let go.

The black-clad maiden looked at him coldly, a cruel smile curling her lips, as her dagger carved another deep, bone-revealing wound on Luo Chen’s body. Luo Chen imdiately felt a tearing pain spreading throughout his body, and he couldn’t help but howl to the sky, his voice filled with agony and despair.
"Howl~!" This long howl, like a beast’s roar, echoed through the dense forest.
At this mont, the dull sound of iron hooves suddenly reverberated, like falling rain’s drumbeats pounding heavily on the ground. This deep and powerful sound mingled with Luo Chen’s roar, swiftly spreading through the forest, creating a bizarre and tense atmosphere.
The black-clad maiden frowned, looking cautiously behind her. At this sight, her face instantly turned exceptionally pale, and a flash of terror crossed her eyes.
Hundreds of massive wild spirits were seen charging from afar, their iron hooves trampling the ground and producing a thundering sound akin to muffled thunder. These wild spirits were of various forms, including ferocious beasts like jackals, tigers, and leopards. Usually, they were tyrannical in the forest, but now their expressions were frantic, as if encountering sothing terrifying.
The black-clad maiden unhesitatingly leaped toward a large tree by the road, trying to avoid the sudden stampede of wild spirits. However, she left Luo Chen alone in the middle of the road. The vast numbers of wild spirits trampled chaotically past, lifting a cloud of flying sand and rocks, engulfing Luo Chen’s figure.
The intermingling sounds of roaring, wailing, and trampling hooves seed to shake the entire forest. The black-clad maiden stood on the tree, staring intently at Luo Chen, subrged among the wild spirits, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes.
However, amidst this chaotic confusion, a blood-stained figure suddenly charged out from the horde of wild spirits. It was Luo Chen; he tightly clasped his arms around the neck of an antelope beneath him, lying prone on its rugged back. His eyes were filled with determination and resolve, as if battling against fate.
