Phoenix’s face was pale, yet she instinctively shook her head, "No way, I obtained this with great difficulty."
"Hmph, really? Such a naive little girl. If we hadn’t been exhausted from chasing endlessly, do you think you could have escaped for this long with your ager skills? Hand it over, and maybe, just maybe, I’ll spare your life."
The man spoke sinisterly.
Su Chen was secretly startled. A sheepskin scroll? It seems their target is the sheepskin scroll Phoenix has. But where did Phoenix get a sheepskin scroll?

However, Phoenix underestimated these three masked n. The leading man, who called himself Dark Heaven, snorted lightly. With just a swipe of his right palm, a strange dark power surged forth, clearing the net completely. Then, stepping forward, he appeared behind Phoenix almost as if teleporting. His right hand ford a blade, striking towards Phoenix’s shoulder with precision!
"Stop!"
From the trees, Su Chen let out a low shout, then leaped down from the branches, swooping between Phoenix and Dark Heaven like a gust of wind!
He punched fiercely, eting Dark Heaven’s seemingly light strike. But as soon as they clashed, Su Chen let out a low groan, knocked backward by the imnse force! As he flew backward, he grabbed Phoenix, cradling her securely in his arms. Just before hitting the ground, he kicked off, accelerating like an arrow and racing out of the woods!
Dark Heaven let out a surprised hum, his cold face beneath the mask showing a hint of intrigue, "This kid does have so skill."
"Master, why didn’t you continue to capture them?"
A tall and sturdy man behind him asked in a low voice.
Dark Heaven sneered, his voice chilling to the bone, "Isn’t the fun in playing with the mouse the whole process of toying? Now that another amusing little mouse has joined midway, let’s have so fun with them..."
"Why did you save ?"
Phoenix asked, lying on Su Chen’s back, her face pale and expression complicated.
Su Chen, like a sharp arrow, leaped several ters with each bound. The wind howled past their ears.
Upon hearing her question, Su Chen snorted coldly, saying indifferently, "I only ca for the sheepskin scroll on you."
Phoenix whispered, "If it was just for the sheepskin scroll, you could kill now, avenging yourself and obtaining the scroll effortlessly, couldn’t you?"
Su Chen, in motion, paused slightly, as if annoyed his motives were guessed. His voice beca even colder, "If you keep babbling, I’ll throw you down, believe it or not?"
Phoenix’s delicate body stiffened, then silently lowered her head, saying nothing more. Su Chen snorted coldly and accelerated again, racing along the road like an arrow leaving the string...
Unknown how much ti passed, but the wind’s howling seed to subside a lot. A drowsy Phoenix regained consciousness and saw Su Chen, who was carrying her, land steadily on the ground, his body heaving from breathlessness. She opened her mouth as if to speak yet said nothing. The cold aura on Su Chen made it hard for her to connect him with the passionate youth she once knew. All because of her ruthless attack that day...
After putting her down, Su Chen wiped his sweat, then walked to the clear stream nearby, crouched down, and brought a handful of water to his mouth. The sweet, refreshing taste revitalized his spirit.
Hearing the water, Phoenix suddenly widened her beautiful eyes. She looked at the familiar place with indescribable complexity, "This is where it happened last ti, why... did you bring here?"
Su Chen splashed water on his face, washing away the sweat, but his expression beca even colder. His elongated eyes, filled with sharp starlight, fixedly stared at Phoenix.
