"H-How can I help you, Gladiator Wu, Gladiator Shi?"
The Fifth Ascension cultivator bowed respectfully before the two soldiers.
But even if Wu Wang and Shi Fa weren't ranked in the top 500 in One Above All, the Fifth Ascension cultivator would still have shown the same level of respect because of their status as soldiers.
"You just fought with Player Yuan, correct?" Wu Wang questioned with a serious face.
"Player Yuan…? Oh, you mean that Third Ascension monster? Yes, I just had a match with him. Is something wrong?"
"No, it's nothing. You may leave," Wu Wang said, immediately beckoning him to leave.
"Huh?"
The Fifth Ascension cultivator wore a puzzled expression on his face after being dismissed so quickly. Admittedly, he wanted to continue talking with them a little longer since they were his idols. However, not wanting to be a nuisance, he nodded and left.
'What was that about?' he wondered inwardly as he left.
"That bastard is really still fighting inside!" Wu Wang gritted his teeth in frustration after confirming that Yuan was still inside.
He turned to Shi Fa and asked, "What is your plan now? Although it's great that we've confirmed his presence inside, it is not as though we can forcefully kick him out."
Although they had the authority to remove Yuan's matches from the lobby displays, that was the extent of their power.
"Since we know he is currently Expert-ranked, we can deliberately send other Experts into the matches. If they encounter him, we can have them relay our message on our behalf," Shi Fa said.
"Wait! That's actually genius! Why didn't we think of that sooner?!" Wu Wang's eyes lit up with excitement.
Thus, they started gathering as many Experts that were present in the lobby. Given their status as soldiers and their rank, everyone listened to their instructions without issue.
To make things more efficient, they went to the reception, where they had the workers broadcast their recruitment.
About an hour later, a little over a thousand Experts gathered before Wu Wang and Shi Fa.
"Alright, listen up, everyone. We need to contact someone currently fighting inside One Above All, so we would like you to matchmake until you find him. This person goes by Player Yuan, a Third Ascension cultivator. You should immediately recognize him since he's probably the only one with such a low cultivation at that rank."
The Experts immediately started mumbling to each other.
"There's a Third Ascension at our rank? Who's this Player Yuan?"
"He must be the one from the rumors that started spreading about a month ago."
"Oh, I've heard about him, too. I thought it was exaggerated and fake when I first heard about it, though."
Not everyone recognized Yuan, but many of them had because of the rumors.
"We're not asking you to do this for free, either. Whoever relays the message to him will receive 100 points, as well as a training session with one of us," Shi Fa added.
When the Experts heard this, excitement flickered in their eyes. Although one hundred points were already enticing—equivalent to roughly fifty free victories—the most appealing reward was the chance to train with a Gladiator.
Shortly after, Shi Fa revealed their message before sending these Experts inside to begin their matchmake.
Although a thousand Experts might sound like a lot, more than a hundred times that number were constantly peting in One Above All. In other words, there were at least a hundred thousand Experts fighting each other at any given moment.
One might wonder how there could be so many players when the lobby itself was nowhere near that crowded. However, multiple Gaia's Sanctums existed simultaneously, much like the Myriad of Techniques in the Nine Heavens without the dimensional nonsense, and everyone gathered within Yuan's Gaia's Sanctum came from Sectors 10 through 19.
"Now we can only hope that our people can find him before he fully uses his monthly limit again…" Wu Wang sighed.
While the two soldiers continued waiting for their results, Yuan was honing his Limitless against other players.
One win… ten wins… fifty wins later—
"H-Hey! Player Yuan!"
Yuan raised an eyebrow when his opponent called out to him for the first time.
"Who are you?"
"It doesn't matter who I am. All you need to know is that I've been looking for you!" His opponent spoke with a wide grin, clearly very excited to see him.
"Why are you looking for me?" Yuan's eyebrows raised a little higher at the puzzling situation.
"Because I've been sent here to relay a message to you from Gladiator Wu and Gladiator Shi!"
"Gladiator Wu? Gladiator Shi?" Yuan had to think for a moment before finally recalling the two men who resembled Wang Ming and Shi Lang.
"Oh, those two? I don't remember even speaking with them, so why do they have a message for me?" Yuan inquired.
The man cleared his throat before telling Yuan what he had been asked to say, "Player Yuan, you are to stop all matches and return to the lobby immediately."
"..."
"..."
"..."
"That's it?" Yuan asked when the man stopped speaking after a mere sentence.
"That's it."
"They didn't tell you the reason I have to return to the lobby?"
"They did not. Regardless of their reason, they are not only Gladiators, but soldiers too. And when a soldier gives an order, we, as mere civilians, must obey."
"Is that so?" Yuan murmured with a thoughtful expression.
He could not help but wonder why two men he had never met or spoken to would suddenly tell him to stop fighting, even going so far as to send people after him.
After a moment of silence, Yuan nodded and said, "You can tell them that I have received their message."
"Good. Then let's—"
Before the man could even finish his sentence, Yuan vanished from his view, and a second later, he was back inside the waiting room with a defeated message staring back at him.
"W-What?!" the man exclaimed in shock.
