Qingnv threw herself into a frenzy of lesson preparation.

There was no helping it; if she didn’t prepare, she really would embarrass herself.

But on the other hand, it was also the first ti she had truly co into contact with the knowledge system of the Confederation’s Agricultural College.

She was especially impressed by the various breeding cultivation thods born from the combination of gene technology and big data.

On the one hand, she had to study this unprecedented knowledge in large quantities; on the other hand, she had to arrange the breeding and planting of Spiritual dicine such as Bitter Heart Lotus. She was very busy, yet strangely calm and at peace, focused every day with no distractions.

"Teacher Qingnv!"

A Disciple of the Agricultural College ca trotting over, shouting excitedly, "The new strain of Bitter Heart Lotus has been successfully bred!"

Qingnv’s spirit lifted, and she flew into the laboratory.

Bitter Heart Lotus was the main ingredient used to make Pure Spirit Water. The new strain researched by the Agricultural College this ti had a yield per mu that was thirty-seven percent higher than before, which was of great significance to the Nine Mountains Immortal Court.

More importantly, this breeding effort was her first attempt to combine the knowledge she had learned in the modern era with the Yaochi thod.

She hadn’t expected results to co so quickly!

When she ca out of the laboratory, Qingnv was still beaming, her heart full of a sense of accomplishnt.

Mrs. Tian followed beside her and praised, "The Yaochi thod truly is extraordinary. If not for you, Qingnv, it would have been impossible for us to breed a usable new strain so quickly."

Recently she and Qingnv had grown more familiar with each other, and the way they addressed each other had beco much more casual.

She hadn’t expected Qingnv to suddenly freeze, her expression turning complicated.

"Qingnv?"

Mrs. Tian asked in puzzlent.

Qingnv shook her head, pressed her lips together, and gazed off into the distance from the mid-slope of Rainbow Mountain. The spirit fields stretched along the road, the newly planted Spiritual dicine in the fields were brilliantly multicolored, faintly reminiscent of the Spirit dicine Sea of Turquoise Pool back in those days.

She had not thought of Turquoise Pool for a long ti either.

...

Turquoise Pool.

Liuli Buddha walked slowly through the jungle. Birds and beasts had vanished from the forest, making the depths of the shade seem even darker.

His brows and eyes were gentle as he walked beneath the Jianmu and sent out a Spirit Talisman from his hand.

A single Jianmu leaf lifted him up and slowly carried him to the summit of the Jianmu.

The Jile Palace of the Jile Heavenly Girl was located here.

This was Liuli Buddha’s first ti coming. He quietly took stock of the Jile Palace, sowhat surprised in his heart.

The Jile Heavenly Girl could be said to be the foremost person on the surface of the West Continent now; in strength and status, no one could compare to her.

Yet she had not gone to reside in Leiyin Temple, and instead still lived here in this Jile Palace.

The problem was, this Jile Palace looked utterly austere—the palace walls bore no decoration, the eaves had no carvings, it could even be called bare to the point of destitution.

What shocked and puzzled Liuli Buddha even more was that the Jile Palace seed to have no one maintaining it; weeds even grew thickly in the corners of the walls.

Could this Heavenly Maiden perhaps have so strange quirks?

As soon as he entered the Jile Palace, he lowered his head.

The hall was filled with a fragrance that made him feel dizzy and entranced. The mont he slled it, he felt the Paradise Seed within his body throb, beating as if it wanted to co alive inside his heart.

Liuli Buddha was secretly startled. This fragrance was even more overbearing than before.

The source of the fragrance was precisely the mistress of the Jile Palace, and also the mistress of the countless Cultivators of the West Continent—the Jile Heavenly Girl.

From this it could be seen that the Heavenly Maiden’s strength had beco even more unfathomable than before!

In the hall, the Jile Heavenly Girl sat on a wooden couch, her expression leisurely.

Beneath the couch, however, knelt eight won whose faces were twisted in pain. They rolled about on the floor, their clothing barely covering their bodies.

The looks they cast toward the Jile Heavenly Girl were extrely complicated—hatred, longing, adoration, fear...

What astonished Liuli Buddha even more was that all eight were Cultivators at or above the realm of Independent Immortal, and judging by the aura of their Cultivation Technique, they were all orthodox Yaochi Cultivators.

Liuli Buddha’s heart trembled slightly, and he did not dare say much.

But the Jile Heavenly Girl spoke as if explaining to him: "These eight were all from the Yaoshi Sect, Yaochi Cultivators whose hearts turned toward Taiyin and Qingnv."

"..."

"Paradise Fragrance is still not enough when it cos to Dao Fruit Cultivators. I have just bestowed upon them Paradise Seeds."

Liuli Buddha’s facial muscles twitched.

The Paradise Seed was even more vicious than the Paradise Fragrance. Once lodged in a Dao Fruit body, it would taint the Dao Fruit Cultivator’s Cultivation Technique, leaving the Dao Fruit Cultivator completely at its rcy, utterly stripped of any power to resist.

If he himself had not, back then, been careless for a mont and allowed the Jile Heavenly Girl to plant a Paradise Seed in him, he would not now be forced to live under her...

If even he, a Golden Immortal, had failed to escape, these Yaochi Independent Immortals and True Immortals naturally had even less chance of resistance.

He still held resentnt in his heart. The Jile Heavenly Girl glanced at him with a smiling gaze, as if she could completely read his thoughts, yet did not care, rely continuing:

"From their mouths, I have also confird... that my Lady Qingnv of Turquoise Pool has indeed returned."

Liuli Buddha’s expression grew solemn as well.

He had also co here for this matter.

The Jile Heavenly Girl went on, "Not only Qingnv, but at her side there is also a Buddhist Cultivator... seemingly a True Immortal."

"No one has seen this person before, but Qingnv’s attitude toward him is very unusual; she even vaguely treats him as her superior."

"Do you have any leads?"

Liuli Buddha was silent for a while before speaking. "I have indeed uncovered a few things."

"Since the last era, quite a few Disciples of Leiyin Temple have, for various reasons, either left Leiyin Temple or been expelled, and each has established sects throughout the West Continent."

"During this period of ti, while we senior brothers were vying against each other, they have been quietly developing their forces, recruiting people, and even forming a power of their own called the Dharma King Association."

Thinking of this, Liuli Buddha’s expression also turned sowhat gloomy.

Why did it feel like he and Infinite Buddha had been fighting back and forth like a pair of fools?

If Infinite Buddha and the others had not remained in the East Continent, leaving him without a check, he might not even have discovered these things—during tis of chaos, who could clearly say how so many people had disappeared?
