Zheng Fa was organizing the "Dao Fruit Origins" while using his Divine Sense to observe the Daluo Dharma eting.
To be honest, he was both enjoying and feeling restless.
It was the first ti he truly comprehended the Dao, or rather, it was the first ti he integrated all his cultivation techniques and philosophies into one.
This feeling was exhilarating, like breaking through a massive traffic jam and now traveling thousands of miles a day on the highway.
But what he heard was the most repulsive bargaining in this world.
Lu Yao’s proposal was a temptation for any Dao Fruit—to always remain exalted, without worrying about death, and even avoid the calamity of Spiritual Energy decline.
Xuan Chengzi and others from the Supre Dao were clearly intrigued.
However, reaching a real cooperation wasn’t a matter that could be accomplished in a day, or perhaps even in just one Daluo Dharma eting.
The biggest issue was the existing enmity between the Supre Dao and Leiyin Temple, rendering mutual trust virtually nonexistent.
...
Xuan Chengzi frowned: "When Buddha aligns himself with Pure Land, coupled with the entire faith of all heavens and myriads of worlds’ mortals, it’s obvious that his power would greatly increase in the future."
Lu Yao chuckled, not denying it, appearing attentive.
"But our Supre Dao has the most Golden Immortals... wouldn’t we be at a disadvantage?"
Xuan Chengzi’s words sounded unlike a Golden Immortal, more like a vendor haggling in the market.
Yet Zheng Fa wouldn’t underestimate this person; a single word now could have considerable influence in the future.
This did not necessarily an Xuan Chengzi was opposing Lu Yao’s proposal.
Everyone knows that those who haggle are usually truly considering doing business.
Lu Yao laughed, looking confident: "Does Benefactor Xuan Cheng know that Leiyin Temple possesses a Future Buddha Fruit Position?"
"Future Buddha is not White Lotus..." Xuan Chengzi paused, glancing at Zheng Fa, remaining silent.
Lu Yao also glanced at Zheng Fa, with a hint of aning, seemingly mocking.
"In our Buddhist Sect, we speak of Three Ti Buddhas." Lu Yao spoke leisurely, "The Past Buddha is Thunder Sound Buddha."
"The Present Buddha is this old monk."
"The Future Buddha... has no chosen candidate currently."
Xuan Chengzi frowned and asked, "What relevance does this have to the matter at hand?"
"After I achieve the Dao, the Future Buddha will govern Pure Land and enjoy offerings." Lu Yao paused, saying sothing that left everyone stunned, "And the Future Buddha can also be elected by Golden Immortals in council."
Xuan Chengzi’s face changed, filled with shock and joy, unable to resist asking, "Really?"
Zheng Fa could understand his expression, considering the number of Golden Immortals in the Supre Dao, it’s easy to hold dominance in a Golden Immortal council.
Lu Yao’s words seed to subtly imply passing the Future Buddha’s Fruit Position and Pure Land to Supre Dao?
Not to ntion the Future Buddha’s Fruit Position.
Pure Land is the Supre Treasure of Leiyin Temple!
It was unclear whether this decision was made before he refused or arose after collapsing negotiations.
But the long silence in the hall imdiately made Zheng Fa realize this condition might truly sway Supre Dao.
...
"How could Lu Yao be so generous?"
In the Jiushan Realm, Elder Yuan’s eyes widened, utterly unable to comprehend.
"For the purpose of proving the Dao, what cannot be generous? It’s just unknown how Thunder Sound Buddha agreed." Master Pang frowned, "This is truly troubleso."
Others were also looking at each other, Lu Yao’s declaration had steered the Daluo Dharma eting in a direction out of Jiushan Sect’s control—Golden Immortals co-governance.
At present, at the Daluo Dharma eting and even the entire Xuanwei Realm, the actual authorities were indeed these Golden Immortals.
Master Pang pondered repeatedly, ultimately could only sigh helplessly: "If I were in Supre Dao, unless the Daoist Venerable speaks, I truly can’t think of a reason to refuse such terms."
Xuan Chengzi also couldn’t think of one.
He looked at Lu Yao, surprisingly a bit fearful, seemingly afraid this joy might fly away.
"Would you truly do such a thing?"
Lu Yao chuckled lightly, both explaining and announcing, "When I achieve the Dao, all ten thousand worlds would rge; what difference then between Supre and Thunder Sound?"
Xuan Chengzi’s expression grew increasingly tenuous, still seemingly incredulous.
"Perhaps Dao friends of Supre Dao don’t trust , but wouldn’t they trust Hongng Purple Qi?"
Xuan Chengzi didn’t respond, his expression seeming sowhat swayed.
"Hongng Purple Qi is the oath object of heaven, earth, and humanity, written within are truths that even Saints cannot defy." Lu Yao continued, "If you all harbor doubts, I wish to swear an oath with Hongng Purple Qi."
Xuan Chengzi contemplated montarily, exchanging glances with his two fellow disciples, before speaking: "This matter is of great significance, not sothing the three of us can decide in one word. We must deliberate before returning... To be honest with Buddha, among the absent Taishang Nine Sons, there are those extrely dissatisfied with Leiyin Temple, even under Nine Nether threat, collaboration with you is challenging."
He seed worried Lu Yao would be displeased, quickly added: "I will certainly explain the stakes and strive to persuade them."
Zheng Fa, hearing this, was quite astonished; the Taishang Nine Sons, seemingly not united?
It’s no wonder Lu Yao didn’t hold Supre Dao in high regard earlier.
From Xuan Chengzi’s implication, the Taishang Nine Sons seed to be divided into at least two factions—
One faction is opposed to Leiyin Temple, unwilling to attend the Daluo Dharma eting.
Another faction, likely Xuan Chengzi and his peers, although they don’t hold Leiyin Temple in high regard, they fear Nine Nether Emperor more. Comparatively, they are inclined to cooperate with Leiyin Temple.
Lu Yao smiled slightly, not appearing surprised, only asking: "Is the Daoist Venerable still silent?"
"Yes." Xuan Chengzi sighed upon hearing, "If there were a directive from the Daoist Venerable, we would not be in such a predicant. However... for years, the Daoist Venerable has not issued any decrees. We can only consult with our doubts; without this, how could we avoid constant disputes?"
