"You all..."

Li Ang opened the door and was suddenly stunned by the sight of the two people at the door.

The two Chinese-Arican won standing before him were of different ages. The older one appeared to be in her thirties, dressed in a brown cashre coat, holding an LV tote bag in her left hand and a suitcase in her right.

The other looked to be about fifteen or sixteen, wearing a pink down jacket with her fair skin slightly reddened by the cold wind.

Although they looked sowhat different from his mory, Li Ang recognized them imdiately—weren’t they his aunt and cousin?

Of course, if it were the original Li Ang here, he would have only seen a few family photos sent over years ago and might not have been able to recognize them.

In this parallel world, he was born in Arica and had never been to China in over a decade.

While his parents were alive, they had so contact with relatives back in China, but after it was just Li Ang left, the connection was completely severed.

However, Li Ang still had mories of exchanges with these two relatives.

He never imagined that one day he would be reunited with his relatives in Arica.

Upon seeing Li Ang erge, the two at the door first compared him with the photo on their phone, then glanced at Li Ang again and confird the address before they dared to speak:

"It’s been years since we’ve seen you, and you look so different from the photo. I’m your aunt, and this is your cousin, Liu nglin. nglin, quickly call him brother."

As she spoke, the woman in the cashre coat nudged the younger girl with her elbow to prompt her to greet him.

"Brother."

The young girl, obviously still adjusting, bowed her head slightly and quietly addressed Li Ang.

No wonder they took so long to recognize him; Li Ang had changed a lot compared to a year ago, let alone when compared to photos from several years ago. Aside from a similarity in his eyes and brows, it was hard to find other resemblances.

Liu nglin had not expected she would have such a handso cousin. Taking him to school would surely give her great prestige. She even thought he was more attractive than the male celebrities her friends admired.

"It’s cold outside. Co in first and then we can talk," Li Ang said as he stepped aside to lead them into the house.

Being a stranger in a foreign land, the sudden encounter with his forr relatives genuinely made Li Ang happy.

In his mories, his cousin was always polite and cute, with consistently good academic performance, and they often played together as children.

Although his aunt was sowhat rcenary, she was not a bad person; she just occasionally made unpleasant remarks. She had also contributed a lot to the developnt of their family over the years.

As they walked into the house, she looked enviously at Li Ang’s large house and said:

"Arica is great, isn’t it? Everyone can live in such big villas with their own gardens and lawns. Unlike us, even buying a one hundred square ter house is a struggle."

In her mind, this distant relative in Arica had always lived in modest conditions, especially after it was just Li Ang on his own, presumably making his life even harder. How could a minor earn enough money to support himself?

Li Ang shook his head and explained:

"In Arica, it’s usually the poor who live in these kinds of houses. It’s really not much different from the self-built hos in our hotown. Plus, you have to pay all kinds of additional fees here like property tax and maintenance fees."

Although he certainly wasn’t poor now, the fact remained as such.

Hearing Li Ang describe it this way, his aunt must have understood and squeezed out a smile, not continuing the subject.

"We ca here this ti because nglin just started her freshman year of high school and she’s probably not adapting well to school life. She’s also struggling to keep up with her studies, and her teacher suggested we take her out to broaden her horizons and relax, so I brought her here. It just so happens you’re here in Arica alone, so we ca over to be with one another. It’s almost Christmas, isn’t it? We can go out and have so fun together."

While his aunt’s words sounded simple, Li Ang detected the underlying implications.

First, why would they choose this ti to travel? Taking a child to play during the winter or sumr vacations made sense, but this ti of year was less common.

And during the peak of high school academics, her teacher suggested she take a vacation to play? There was definitely more to it than just not adapting to school life.

Having been through high school himself, he knew it was no joke. Unless you were so ill it impacted your studies, teachers generally wouldn’t approve a leave.

However, these weren’t things he felt comfortable prying into at the mont and could only hope to learn more through later conversation.

After entering the warm, heated interior of the house, they felt an imdiate contrast to the cold wind outside.

Initially, his aunt had believed Li Ang’s grand house was similar to rural self-built houses, but upon entering, she realized it was nothing of the sort.
