Even for the one closest to him, the distance exceeded a hundred ters. At this range, it typically wouldn’t fall within the lethal scope of a "hidden weapon." Even the most potent of cold weapons, the crossbow, had a killing range of just over a hundred ters.

But now, in the hands of Li Ang, these Alloy Darts had transcended the category of hidden weapons when launched by an ordinary person. Their trajectories were more akin to bullets, with Li Ang’s hands substituting for the gunpowder and rifling within a bullet.

After eliminating three guards, Li Ang quickly closed in on the tent at the center of the camp. Undertaking a surprise assault relied on swift and decisive action. If soone were to co out now and notice the situation outside, his earlier efforts to move silently would have been for naught.

Li Ang approached the entrance of the tent without any preparation and charged straight in. Unless soone was constantly holding an RPG at the entrance, he had nothing to worry about.

As he had predicted, there were no ard personnel inside, just a few frightened workers huddled together, whispering among themselves.

The absence of the organization’s leader inside also made sense. The higher-ups of the group were well aware that prolonged exposure to this interference source would definitely affect one’s health; it would be strange if they chose to stay here.

Interestingly enough, there were even two Chinese workers inside, whom one could surmise were most likely deceived into coming here for work.

As the fully ard Li Ang entered, the four or five people inside imdiately raised their hands as if on reflex.

In their eyes, Li Ang’s arrival at this ti clearly ant that their bosses had been dealt with.

They were just here to work and had no knowledge of the dangers before arriving. Once here, they were completely powerless as others brandished guns, dictating their every action.

In such a predicant, all they could do was pray they could leave here alive. As for the high wages they were promised? They would even pay their boss if it ant they could go free.

Li Ang didn’t kill these people, but he wasn’t planning on being any savior either. He simply used his massage techniques to knock them out. As for what beca of them afterward, that was up to fate.

After taking care of these individuals, only two workers remained, intent on operating the machinery. They were still diligently following orders to dig into the underground rock layer, oblivious to the earth-shattering changes that had occurred outside.

"How much work is left to reach the target?"

When faced with Li Ang’s question, they responded obligingly, "Actually, in terms of depth, we have already reached the depth initially detected, and we’ve even gone a bit beyond. But perhaps due to so issues with the detecting equipnt, we veered off course. We are considering whether to redrill or to start excavating sideways from the shaft..."

The workers here had already vaguely guessed their fate, knowing that the large number of ard rcenaries guarding the area, along with the rockets and mines, pointed to a significant secret.

Therefore, they had a grim idea of what would happen to them once they completed their task.

This ti, the deviation that seed like an equipnt error was actually an intentional mistake made by one of the workers. He wanted to make the task less smooth, to drag it out.

Even with the extended tiline, it probably wouldn’t change the outco, but for those in dire straits, they would cling to any straw within reach.

What this worker didn’t know was that his actions had possibly introduced a twist of fate into their otherwise sealed destiny.

At this point, Li Ang also found himself in a dilemma. The worst-case scenario had happened—they themselves hadn’t even unearthed the [Psychic Crystal] yet.

If he were to leave now, this trip would be in vain, wasting all that ti.

If he didn’t leave, descending into the mine without knowing how long it would take to extract the object was risky. The group outside could return at any mont, and if he was still below at that ti, he would be trapped and likely killed.

Now, there was only one choice left. The risk was sothing he didn’t want to take, but the object was sothing he coveted.

All those who might interfere with him had to be completely eliminated before he could take his ti to excavate.

It seed like he sensed the air suddenly grow cold; even without Li Ang saying a word, the technician felt a chill.

After a mont of thought, gritting his teeth, he said:

"Actually, the object isn’t far from the tunnel we drilled. If we’re just making a very small hole, it could be done in less than half an hour."

This secret was actually a matter of life and death for them, but he had a feeling that if he didn’t let this man get what he wanted now, the end for all of them would not be good.

Moreover, logic suggested that the [Unknown] organization would have the need for secrecy. After obtaining the object, they would likely execute them, whereas this man seed like a lone wolf, with no information revealed about him, so he probably didn’t have much motivation to silence them.

Simply put, if they continued to help the [Unknown] organization, their chances of survival were almost null, but if they assisted this lone wolf, they could bet on whether he might show rcy.

And when he got the [Psychic Crystal] and fled, that group would definitely focus all their attention on pursuing him, and these workers might actually have a chance to escape.

Li Ang nodded, speaking in a low voice:

"Then I’ll leave this task to you. If you can get the object before they return, I will imdiately take it and leave. They probably won’t have the energy to care about what’s inside. If it takes too long, you’ll only have yourselves to rely on."

These two workers were clearly the decisive type; they imdiately agreed after hearing the proposal. Although this plan was also very risky, it was much better than a certain death.

The two quickly took the necessary tools and slid down the well at a speed akin to freefall, so fast that even Li Ang found it startling.

The reason he spoke that way was also to make them hurry and get the object as quickly as possible.

Going down the well himself was out of the question. In an open area, even an RPG might not be able to do much to him, but in such a deep well, a single grenade could ensure he stayed down there forever.

As the sound of the drill ca from the well, Li Ang chose a position on their inevitable return path, took out his sniper rifle, and lay in ambush.

Now, only sporadic gunfire could be heard in that direction; Li Ang wasn’t sure which side had the upper hand, but he was sure the battle wouldn’t be one-sided.

Compared to rushing over to kill, guarding this spot for a sniper attack was clearly the easier option.

About twenty minutes passed when the gunfire completely ceased. Whether one side was totally annihilated or both sides decided to cease fire, Li Ang knew soone would be coming.

Soon, a person in camouflage appeared within his scope, dressed in the gear of the [Unknown] side.

"Bang!"

The sniper rifle fired, and the person at the forefront fell to the ground at the sound.

But this ti, Li Ang didn’t aim for the head; instead, he shot the man in the thigh.

This move he learned from movies; in situations where he needed to "drag" things out, killing the enemy outright was not the best choice. Wounding the enemy to disable them might be a better thod.

Even in war, certain countries specifically develop weapons designed to inflict injury but not death.
